What is SideSqueeze?
SideSqueeze is an innovative and unique app that uses the barometric pressure sensor in your device to detect squeezes and screen presses. It is compatible only with Samsung Galaxy devices from 2017 onwards, although some people have reported varying degrees of success with Pixel devices.
What It Does
SideSqueeze gives your S8/S9/S10 series Galaxy the ability to respond to squeezes, double squeezes, triple squeezes, quadruple squeezes, long squeezes, and/or inertial squeezes, as well as force presses on the screen. For example, you can double squeeze your phone to activate Google Assistant...or maybe you'd like to quadruple squeeze to toggle auto-rotation. And now with Tasker integration, you can even create elaborate tasks to do just about anything and trigger them with any type of squeeze! SideSqueeze's new modular GUI allows you to pick and choose what you want to do with ease.
Features (not all available in trial version)
7 detectable squeeze types (single, double, triple, quadruple, long, long double-squeeze, and inertial)
3 detectable press types (single, long, and 2-finger)
Independently selectable criteria allow you to assign multiple actions to any trigger type (if lockscreen open, if homescreen open, if camera open, if S-Pen detached, if within 5-seconds of power on, if the phone is ringing, if in-call, or if screen is off)
New app picker to launch any app of your choosing
Tasker integration to launch any task of your choosing
Quick Settings tile to toggle detection engine
Wide selection of common actions, such as flashlight toggling, status bar toggling, etc
Adjustable pressure thresholds
Calibration assistant to customize SideSqueeze to your device's unique characteristics
Efficient detection algorithm that is designed to be as lightweight and low-power as possible with no significant impact on battery life

Version 2.07 (just released to the store last night) offers better reliability and faster response-time, especially when "Disable baseline verification" is set (checked) on the settings panel (go to the About or Help tab, tap the gear icon on the top-right corner). Also, SideSqueeze is on sale for $1.99 through July 13th!
I'm interested, but no comments here or feedback on the Play Store since July is concerning.
Thought this type of thing needed specialised hardware built into the phone don't understand how this would work properly.

Just inspirated by the first trailer of T4
www.terminatorsalvation.com
(btw: who's afraid the next movie? ;-) )
I've made a new notification of message.
It covers and manipulates of whole screen of any Windows Mobile device
(PPC or Smartphone), no matter what is on the screen,
at the moment when the new message received.
I like the idea of this trailer, when title music and video frames, try to break our normally wathed screen.
It's fun to have something similar in personal computer. To have some spice in mobile device.
Of course, if we aren't afraid, this will happen in the future. For real.
So, this notification replaces the default notification of message,
in a style of the above T4 trailer.
Several screen deformations and manipulations are built-in.
Below screenshots are samples only.
In reality, the smooth animation of visual effect is playing,
together with the title sounds (music).

It plays a sound, only when your Profile allows you, and the alerts volume is more than zero.
Functions:
You can switch directly from this notification to reply to the Sender of message: UP/DOWN KEY or TAP-MOVE vertically.
You can switch directly from this notification to the Inbox: LEFT/RIGHT KEY or TAP-MOVE horizontally.
You can play the notification again: ACTION.
To close this notification: ANY OTHERS buttons, or just tap on the screen anywhere.
Because of Warnerbros. copyright, I realized this version as freeware.
And I have no deal with them.
Another way, I think this is a good example,
how the advertising could be positioned (placed) into mobile devices, without users action needs.
This program (notification) user installs on your device, and that's all.
There is no settings, no user-enable application, no dialog, nothing to use.
Then user will not see any icon or running program.
It displays on the screen, and become enabled, only when new message is incoming.
Imagine, the top content of this notification could be downloaded from some network server,
and automatically. What I have not included in this version.
Finally, it displays the last received message (scrolled up from the bottom of screen).
In the background, it displays (some time) a Sender photo, if it's found in your Contacts.
The above screenshot is just a sample, you will see there some photo from your Contact.
And the text of message will scroll up from the bottom of screen, till a whole message will display.
Eeee... freeware files:
http://www.jgui.net/t4.notification/T4.NOTIFICATION.SETUP.exe
http://www.jgui.net/t4.notification/T4.NOTIFICATION.SETUP.cab
(please do not copy theses files, only link to these url if you want)
Due to reason of notification, it's recommended to install in main memory.
This is alpha version, I just tested in a few devices a week only.
I don't know if everything is fixed there now. Please try.
Uninstaller is included.
You cannot just break this notification. You have to unistall.

in this demo picture it is showing the "R" reverb filter being scrubbed to 54% the text on screen quickly fades away once the affected button is released.
How to play:
The screen will be able to operate with the vertical axis as pitch (in hertz) and the horizontal axis as volume (in %). Optionally these axis can be switched by the user in "settings". Also you can have a split screen mode for two independent instruments OR spit screen with pitch in one window and volume in another is so desired. If the latter sound will only come out when both fingers contact the phone.
Pitch range is by default 100 - 3000 hz but this can bet set to a different bracket in the settings dialog. on the top of the screen it will read the current pitch and closest note your finger is at example: 297 Hz (D)
Waveshape Selection Circle:
Toggles sine, triangle and square waveforms.
Filters:
You have three filter slots that you can customize with 15 different effects. Swap out filters in the settings mode.
• Tap a slot to toggle it on and off while in play.
• Touch and drag side to side on a slot to change the intensity of the effect. While you scrub a large number shows up in the middle of your screen to show you what its value is.
Loop:
Tap loop once and it inverts. While it is inverted it is recording.
Tap a second time and the loop is stored and a number comes up at the top of the screen 1-9.
Tap the numbers to toggle on and off loops. to clear a number drag the number to the settings gear at the bottom of the page. Loop auto snaps to the closest logical length of measure (guided by bpm and time sig settings)
BPM & time signatures can be set by scrubbing left and right. The text pulses gently to the beat and the time sig pulses to the appropriate scale.
Particle effects change under your finger depending on how long you have held a ante and how quickly your finger moves:
Tap a note/vol and a ripple happens like a drop of water.
Sustain a note and you will get many concentric rings fading from that spot.
Zip from one note to another and a line will appear to tell you were you came from. it will fade in one a couple measures.
Is there a way to make function that warns you if S pen is removed and you are walking vibrate or at least make some noise?
In current form (simple on screen message) its useless because by the time I turn on my phone to see message, its too late.
There are alerts in s pen settings
sent from my 1920 overclocked note 2 running jedi xp12
I'm talking about that. But there is no sound or vibrating alert, only visual which is useless unless screen is on.
My note 2 has audio alert if I leave my s-pen out

The S Pen™ does more than enable you to interact with your device's screen to navigate menus and enter information; the S Pen also simplifies many different functions. It has been designed to feel comfortable by increasing the overall length to 8mm, and it now has a larger diameter of 6.55mm. You can edit documents with the mouse-like precision of the S Pen.
S Pen Settings
You can modify the S Pen settings from the settings menu. From the Home screen, touch Menu

(I'm going to be cheeky and cut-and-paste this (with some edits) from an earlier post on the Gemini Planet Facebook page, so some people may recognise it if you spend time there.)
Since upgrading my Gemini from Android 7.1.1 to 8.1 I've hit a snag with the Amiga emulator UAE4ARM and other emulation apps that use the SDL library for handling video.
It looks as though the new OS may not be providing the correct screen width to whatever function the SDL libraries is using for their fullscreen display. Whether or not the Gemini's navigation bar is hidden, I lose 10% or so of the screen on the right hand side (or the left, if the navigation bar has been moved) when running these apps fullscreen.

All of the apps I've seen this happen to are emulators (UAE4ARM, Vice64 and Unreal Speccy Portable) and while I'm not certain whether Unreal Speccy uses SDL the other two definitely do, which leads me to suspect it as the common factor. The DOS emulator Magic DOSbox uses a different display methodology and works perfectly in fullscreen landscape.
I've tried all available methods for hiding the navigation buttons; Gemini's new settings, UAE4ARM/SDL's built-in Immersive Mode and the Granular Immersive Mode app. All methods exhibit this truncated screen effect. It's interesting to note that in terms of raw pixels, the truncation appears at the same horizontal position that the navigation bar would appear if it were visible. This also coincides with the right side of the titlebar clock, and is only a few pixels to the right of where Planet's own App Bar cuts off, whether or not the navigation buttons are visible.
Everything points to the OS reporting the wrong screen width to certain apps and libraries when the navigation bar is hidden. None of these apps exhibited this behaviour under 7.1.1, but it's unclear to me whether this is a change in Android functionality or a result of something Planet have specifically tweaked for the Gemini firmware (perhaps related to the new built-in ability to hide the navigation buttons?)
I've tried the obvious Google searches but with fairly generic parameters such as "Oreo" "8.1" "width" "SDL" etc. I'm getting a lot of false positives and nothing of actual use.
Does anyone know what might be causing this, and whether there's a workaround to change whatever value the OS is reporting to SDL? I'm pretty sure I've exhausted all of the tweaks available under Developer Options but I don't mind using tools such as ADB to apply tweaks if necessary. I'm even prepared to root the Gemini if that's what's needed, although I'd rather avoid that if possible. I'm really hoping for the equivalent of an .ini or .plist file (you can tell I'm not an Android developer!) that I can tweak.
My next stop will be to contact Planet and let them know, in the perhaps vain hope that this is a simple bug/oversight that they can fix with a later update. The problem with Planet is that their e-mail based support system has no proper feedback channel, so you often don't even know whether your issue has been acknowledged let alone investigated. So I figured I'd run it past the folks in here first, in case I'm missing something obvious.
TIA for any assistance.
