Help customizing Home Button on Navigation Bar - Google Pixel XL Questions & Answers

Hey folks!
I'm trying to change the icon for the home button on my navigation bar.
I'm currently running pie, liquid remix Rom.
Years ago I used an application that would do it for me, but can't find it anymore, and not sure if it would work on pie.
Does anyone know of an app that will help me achieve this?
OR
Does anyone know the filepath to the icon for the homebutton? I'm wondering if I can just go in and change the the image file (assuming it's a .png or equivalent)
Any help would be great. Thank you

[Q] Lock Screen Icons

Hey Y'all,
I'm running Stock, Rooted LG8.
I'm perfectly happy with the lock screen, and I know how to change all of the shortcuts. I just want to be able to decide which icon is there. I want to be able to add flat/matte icons to the lock screen to match with the rest of my phone. Is this possible somehow? Can someone give me some noobish instructions on how to do it? Thanks in advance.

[Q] On screen button bar colour

Hello there,
After flashing the Nexus OSBs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2395929) and realising I wasn't happy with the middle icon's colour,, I decided to do some research and figure out how to change the icons myselff. After some dabbling, I finally figured out how to do this and I'm happy with it.
However, the background bar for the OSBs is a greyish colour, and not black like the status bar (as you can see in the SS). I was wondering if anyone knows how I can change this? Is it a PNG in SystemUI.apk? I tried to search for it but 'm afraid I couldn't find anything.
Thanks very much
EDIT: For other people with a similar question. I've found the solution! I don't use ADB so I had to reflash the SystemUI.apk but the answer lies in editing an XML file
In SystemUI.apk /res/layout/navigation_bar.XMLyou can change "android:background="xx" to #000000 android:background="#000000"

[Request] Navigation bar / soft key theme for lollipop

Hi all,
I have a OCD friend which recently got a LG G3. Unfortunately I was there to help setup the phone. I updated it all the way... Oops...
Now I've got a friend in tears over the fugly soft key icons... (really..? yeah really.)
There was a theme/apk install which make me able to choose icons, but that does not work anymore in Android L(ollipop).
My request: Is it possible to make a non-root navigation bar theme for Android 5? This would be wonderful!
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Tri.

[Q] Need some help with Huawei P8lite and Nova Launcher

Hello. I hope this is the right forum for this question.
My Xperia Z went bust after two years of faithful service and yesterday I took a risk and picked up the Huawei P8lite. The phone is absolutely gorgeous, but I am having some issues with Nova Launcher.
First off, the soft keys and notification bar aren't transparent. They are when I use the stock launcher (so the device is obviously capable of doing so), and they were on my Xperia Z using Nova Launcher. Non-transparent soft keys and notification bar makes the screen look smaller and cluttered, which utterly spoils the overall experience.
Is there a way around this? If I root the phone, can this be fixed? I have never rooted a device before so if this helps, where can I find the run-down on rooting?
Second, changing icons. When I try to change an icon on the homescreen (again, with Nova Launcher) only a handful of icons from the icon pack shows up on the list. There are clear gaps in the list where a bunch of icons should be.
Again, these were both non-issues on my Xperia Z.
Does anyone have any idea on how to fix these things? For the icons I realize I can use an app like Icon Changer, but with Nova Launcher I shouldn't have to. And as for the soft key and notification bar I realize I can hide them entirely, but I don't want to do that. I just want them to be transparent.
I greatly appreciate any help. I'm on Android 5.0, and I can post screenshots if needed.
Okay, so the phone got an update the other day and that fixed the problem with the icons.
However, the soft keys (and less importantly, the notification bar) still aren't transparent. Does anyone know what to do about this?
You know you live in the first world when this drives you insane
try different themes if that helps !!

Click to collapse
In Settings go to the navigation control and it should be to the left on the switch. Move it to the right. Not only did that make the Nav bar clear, but also allows me to hide it.
Hope it helps.
