OnePlus 7 Pro USB Cables/Chargers - OnePlus 7 Pro Accessories

Hi Folks,
Didn't see a unified thread so why not make one
Cables I've tested so far, all seem good quality, none allow Warp charge sadly :

If anyone has found Warp charge compatible cables than aren't only 1m please let us know. Don't really want my phone sitting at the edge of my desk as the charger is plugged in on the floor and the default cable is ridiculously short, I wouldn't even care if OP had to make it stupidly thick, give us a longer cable (That's what she said)

Official OnePlus Flat Dash (Apparently have been used with Warp Charging) cables 1m/1.5m

£ 9.37 for 2 of them with China Post Tracked Delivery.
Just ordered 2 of the 1.5m cables so will report back on them.

You tried these on the stock Warp charger?

ali express is the place that takes a few years to ship, right? lol Cheap but long wait times. I guess that can be a fair trade off if you're not in a rush.

Got mine in 10 days via aliexpress even though it was estimated to be 25 days+

Flat dash charge cable 150cm doesn't work with warp.
When connected to phone it says "Warp Charge" but current drops to 2000ma. Changing to warp cable 100cm instantly rises current to 5000ma+

I just ordered the 6T mclaren edition 100cm one from aliexpress. description says that one supports warp but the red one does not.

These worked on all 3 of our 7 Pros. Warp charging works. Bought 2 of them.

You dont get more than 2 Ampere without dash / warp charge logo.

Did someone test this cable?
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/3299...bc-4c38-a34e-a82e2e784d21&transAbTest=ae803_5

Thats not true. I have 150cm dash cable from Ali and it triggers Warp Charge logo but ampere is 2000-3000ma.
I have MANY very high quality cables from blitwolf, anker, baseus, choetech etc. None of them works with warp charge.

I've had 3 orders in a row which got from China to the UK in a fortnight so it's not that bad, especially for the price.

@djsubterrain What do you think of the following:

Never used them as I'm in the UK so I couldn't really provide an opinion tbh. Seems like a reseller though just like the sellers on AliExpress, can't imagine it being official in any way.

These people are supposedly next door in Holland.

Gets about 4A on Ampere. You won't get much more than that unless you have a seriously fat cable......volt drop is the issue. To get more you need a much greater surface area of cable.....

Has anyone found a really long (like 5m) cable that works with warp charge?

After trying many hq china cables, and 4 diferent oneplus cables from aliexpress ("genuine") I bought 150cm original cable from official reseller and now everything works. Warp charge with 5000+ma.
Those experiments are not worth the money, I've spent nearly triple value of original one.

@cd993
It will not work. On 5m cable You will drop voltage to 3,5-4v.

This is the one I bought a few months ago, no problems ... yet
This is the one that I have been using for over a year around the world (I travel frequently for work), and have never had an issue.
Can actually support 4 simultaneous devices, and I've tested it at one point with a Galaxy S4, iPhone 5, Galaxy Note 10.1, and iPad all plugged in at once and charged all of them at the same time.
It's got dedicated ports for a ipad, samsung tablet (presumably a little more juice on these two ports), and two "universal" ports that work for most phones (I current use it with my Galaxy Tab2 and Nexus 5) so you should have no issues with both Nexuses.
Also, the size isn't too bad at all, so very portable. The only complaint -- if you can call it that -- is that the blue led is super bright. Nothing that can't be fixed with a piece of black electrical tape

I tried charging my N5 with my LG G Pad charger and the phone got really warm. Is this OK? That was at 1.7A...
I got the Limefuel dual port 4.8A/24W dual port charger and it's hooked up to two Qi chargers to charge 2 Nexus 5's and I can say these Qi chargers have never charged this quickly before. One Qi charger is the 3-coil type (which is already awesome) and even charging while using the phone it charges mad fast.
I also got the Anker 5-port 8A/40W charger which I am still testing.

I second that recommendation. I have 2 Limefuel L48WC chargers. Both ports output full amperage to my Nexus family of devices. The flip prongs help with travel. As with many chargers, it has a light, but could easily be muted by a strip of tape.

Well, time to talk about our babe. The box is very simple, to green the earth maybe, there is not much to talk about the box, here is some pictures:

Here is what insides the box:
We got 1 charger, 1 USB cable (6 ft ~ 1.8 meters, according to Google), and 1 Welcome Guide. Well, do we need a manual for a charger? Actually I haven’t read it but I think Tronsmart is very kind to provide us a manual for their charger.
Here is our babe alone:
Some tech specs:

The cable is solid, and long, about 1.8 meters which is really long to me. The quality of the cable is really high.
You guys can check out the USB connector:
And the MicroUSB connector:
Let’s take a closer look at our babe ports, here you can see 1 QC 2.0 port which can produce about 5V/2A or 9V/2A or 12V/1.5A , 2 VoltIQ port which can produce about 5V/4.8A (2.4A for each ports).
Compare to the ASUS QC 2.0 charger:
Time to get our babe to work. In this short review I will test this charger to charge my Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) from 9% to 100%, time will be calculate by the stopwatch on the screen.
You guys can check the pictures below, the charger is slower than original ASUS charger a bit at the first 70%, but at the total time to 100%, it win! It took about 1 hours and 18 minutes to completely charge my Zenfone 2 from 9% to 100%.
Let’s get started.
About 9 minutes to reach 21%.
About 21 minutes to reach 35%.
About 35 minutes to reach 50%.
About 53 minutes to reach 71%.
About 1 hours and 7 minutes to reach 86%.
About 1 hours and 18 minutes to reach 100%.
Final thought, this is really good QC 2.0 charger for its price, build quality is great and the price is really acceptable especial when ASUS is selling their charger for about $29.99 USD in the US.
Key features
Cheap price
3 USB ports for charging 3 devices at the same time.
Great quality
Main disadvantages
Non for now
You can buy this charger at Amazon for $19.99 USD. Link: http://www.amazon.com/Qualcomm-Cert...ck+Charge+2.0+42W+3+Ports+Wall+Travel+Charger
I have their quick charger with only 1 quick charging USB port and I'm also very satisfied with him. 15.9 $ on eBay..
@Tronsmart, is this charger have led ? and LED can changes color depend on it on normal charging or QC2.0 is active ?
I already try 2 QC2.0 charger. Aukey and LVSun. Sold my aukey, still have LVSun, now i want to try this tronsmart. Unfortunately, i only can get it on ebay/aliexpress, non local seller (indonesia). Take more than a month (if lucky).

Finally got a chance to use the charger briefly today. Not sure about how closely it performed to specs but I've found an unexpected benefit - it works with my wife's ancient cell phone! We've tried many different car chargers and nothing's worked with her phone. So I can guarantee that it is indeed backwards compatible.
Is it compatible with Asus Zenfone 2 2gb z008 (ze550ml)?

Quick Charge 3.0 cable

Hi, I'm pretty new to this Quick Charge 3.0 thing,

Thanks

That Orzly is pretty expensive for a 1M cable.I

QC3.0 varies voltage from like 3.6v (going off memory) up to 20v based on what device needs.

yes you want usb 3.0 cables atleast for the ones you are using for data transfer. You can buy some cheaper 2.0 ones you will just use for charging.

The axon 7 included charger only goes upto 12v. (Class A Qualcomm charger)
There are chargers out there that also goto 20v. (Class B QualComm charger)
I am not sure that the axon 7 or any 820 chipset can take 20v. 12V is good enough for me, don't need the extra heat in my phone even for the short period of time.
Class B chargers are designed for Laptops and other devices larger than a Smart phone.

As the voltage goes up with QC, the amp goes down.
9V/2A and 12V/1.67A
You are not going to get 20V/3A to reach 60 watts. Hell, your phone would melt with 60 watts.
I'm looking for a cable that is the same flexibility as the stock ZTE cable, preferably usb 3.1 but definitely QC 3.0 compatiable.
The USB cable had a lot to do with charging your device, quick charge or not. Non-standard USB-C cables can kill your device. I'm sure many of us have heard about Benson Leung and his reviews of USB-C cables. If not, he's a Google engineer that, for some reason, took it upon himself to review USB-C cables and see if they are "safe". Dude killed his Pixel C with a bad cable:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...ous-on-paper-it-allegedly-fried-his-hardware/
I suggest taking a look at the compiled list of cables and adapters he has reviewed or search for his profile on Amazon. I picked up a few USB 3.0 A-to-C cables by VCE that he reviewed and they work well. They are decently priced too. Suggest getting the 3 pack with a 3.3, 5, and 6.6 ft cable for ~$15.
I ordered this the other day, it's supposed to be approved by the Google Eng. (Benson Leung) who's been going around checking USB C cables.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A07CE8S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Will receive it later today.
Now i'm looking for a nice type-C to type-C cable for data transfer since i have a type-C port on my XPS 15. I looked at some Thunderbolt 3 cables but they're going for around $25+ which seems too high.

Mostly it is crappy chargers that kill your device. A non-spec cable is not too bad if the charger can deliver 3amps reliably (using it as a data cable might not be too great of an idea though) or will gracefully deliver less than that.
And either way, QC3.0 is in clear violation of the USB-c spec so go figure.

Good Wireless Charger?

Has anyone found a good, reliable wireless charger for their G7 yet? (My cheap $15 charging stand isn't cutting it and I'm about to whip it against the wall).
I've been using this one by Anker, charging it overnight. Takes about 2 hours to fully charge from about 30% to 100%
No issues with it yet but only have had it about 2 weeks now.

Thanks! I have about 4 older Samsung charging pucks. What's strange is that two work fine, but the other two don't charge my G7 at all. (I'm sure it has something to do with the USB cable and/or plug that I'm using).

Bear in mind that you have to use the supplied cable, along with your o.e. charger for the Anker stand. The port on the back of the stand is a micro usb, not a usb-c.
I've been using one like this one for years no issues and good brand..
I have the older model but I see this one with same specs

G7 will say fast charging on a 10W wireless charger but LG says the phone supports 15W for true fast charging. Belkin and a handful of others make true 15W fast wireless chargers.
Watch out for off brands as many will say 15w but are actually 10w.
Im using a mophie here and it says fast wireless charging at 10w.

Good call on this charger. I picked it up on your recommendation after seeing the price before I even owned this phone and I can confirm it works great. Anker makes solid products so the price makes it even better. Thanks!
Another vote for the Anker Charger
I've been using the Anker model A2523 wireless charger with no problems. It doesn't charge super fast, but I use it for overnight charging, so that's not a problem. While charging, the battery never goes above 30 degrees centigrade, which is 2 to 4 degrees cooler that when I was using the original LG plug in charger that came with the phone! The Anker uses a Micro USB port for power, so I also got a USB-C to Micro USB adapter, so that if I need to recharge quickly, I can just unplug the LG charging cable from the adapter which is plugged into the back of the Anker charger and plug it into the phone. I think that's the best solution until more USB-C wireless chargers are produced.

No, it just states it's charging wirelessly. It's not too fast but perfect for overnight without roasting the phone or battery.
just got the UMIDIGI Q1 , and it says fast wireless charging.
Have some others scattered around the house that is 5w, like choetech t513
I have quite a few Anker products, so when I was looking for a bedside wireless charger, I was almost sure I would end up with them. However, after researching on Amazon for about an hour, I ended up buying the Yootech Wireless Charger (the goofy company name made me think that it might be a cheap rebrand, but it's been a rock solid device). I can say for the LG G7 that this is an amazing charger (although it supports a wide range if you or someone else might want to use it with a different device; especially an older one) that comes with an impressive AC adapter (it doesn't get warm while in use, something that sometimes happens with more compact adapters). It does use MicroUSB instead of USB-C and maxes out at 10W instead of 15W, however it tops up my phone from 20 - 30% to 100% in less than two hours so it's a keeper for me and allows me to save my included charger specifically for travel.
I got the BlitzWolf BW-FWC4 from Amazon for €15. Fast wireless charging thanks to QI-EPP compatibility. Works flawlessly through my Voia case. Charges almost as fast as wired. I'm using the original wall charger to power it.
got the nillkin 15w qi powerflash. Fast charging works and cooler than UMIDIGI Q1 thanks to buil in fan.

Hey, what are the charging speeds on the Nillkin? Does it charge as fast as the UMIDIGI ? Their description does not mention fast charging for LG so was wondering.

6ft Warp Cable- Amazon

I can confirm this 6ft cable will Warp charge with the OP7 OnePlus 6T Dash Charger Cable 2... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P7NLQVH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Found on Amazon UK also :
https://www.amazon.co.uk/TITACUTE-Charging-Degree-Charger-Compatible/dp/B07PV85Z27
Quite a bit pricier as only one in the box.
I somehow doubt this claim though as this article claims that :
Warp Charge delivers 5V at 6A to attain 30W

XDA's own review of Warp charging (For the McLaren 6T) also backs that up:
The Warp Charge 30 block is rated for 5V @ 2A (10W) or 5V @ 6A (30W) if you are using the proper cable and a compatible device (so far, only the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition). This is different from the older charger which is rated for 5V @ 4A (20W).

The cable delivers less than that as it states in the description:
US : "Dash Charge Compatibility: Only support 5V 4A rapidly charging for OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 3, OnePlus Bullets Wireless, other brands devices only support normal charge."
UK : "5A Super Charge Cable: Super charging only for HUAWEI P30 Pro, P30, P20 Pro, P20, P10 Plus, P10, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20, Mate 20 RS, Mate RS, Mate 20 X, Mate X, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10, Mate 9 Pro, Mate 9, Honor 10, V10, Note 10. Note: Other brand smartphone only support normal charge."
Those seem to be Dash charge levels but not Warp charge levels.

Thanks for the clarification, been looking for a longer cable for this phone and couldn't find one.
What are the rough speed differences between dash and warp?
It shows Warp charging when I plug it in. I'll keep my eye on it as I need a quick charge

It might be stretching it's capacity to work, interesting option though. Keep us updated? If it does work I'd definitely keep it as an option cos the one included is ridiculously short.
I was down to 39% last night when I went to bed. Plugged it in and it said 42 minutes to full charge.
The thing that annoyed me about my Pixel 2 XL was the stock Pixel 2 cable was very short.
I may just use PD at work if extra WarpCharge charger and cable too much
I need a 10ft warp cable. Is there such a thing?

Absolutely.
A 9 foot extension cord, the charger + 150cm cable?
Ordered a cheaper 'clone' of a warp charger off Amazon UK. 150cm, it uses the flat anti tangle design.
Shall update when it arrives

Yes it will, ya'll need to realize it is not so much the cable but the charger you need to worry about.
EDIT: as long as the cable is rated for 5V at 6A, goood to go. Of course no cables will say current output at 6A due to no chargers out there until the WARP charger came along. Many good brands should be ok, I use the 6 ft Anker Powerline + with the WARP charger and it works fine.

These cables are crap. Even the manufacturer admits they max out at 2A, not the 6A of Warp charging.
Answer: No, it only support 5V/ 2A normal charge.
By TITACUTE US SELLER on April 4, 2019
It doesn't matter if the phone says "warp charging" if it's not getting 6A. These cables are missing key resistors that enable full speed warp charging.
Warp charger with 3T cable. Dash charging, even though the Warp animation pops up. Fast enough for me still, as I want to keep the original cable as long as I can.
Welp, bought this cable and there's no Warp charging notification using the OP7Pro charger :
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LNAAEJ2/
Waiting for this one on Tues next week so will report back :
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07PV85Z27
Although, seeing the comments above I'm now not holding out much hope, why the hell don't OP make a 2m cable....maybe cos it won't Warp charge? :/
