I have this P800 dual sim that runs on Android 2.2 (which in fact I think it is 2.1) and a Chinese Ingenic JZ4760 CPU (600 mhz), 256 RAM, 256 ROM. It has capacitive screen, GPS and Wi-fi. I'm desperate to install Android 2.2.1 on it for some tweaks and I don't know how because I'm new at this. I contacted the supplier but he couldn't help me with this.
Main problems:
1. Where can I find a working ROM for this so I`ll still have the dual sim option? Can't I just install a ROM from any other chinese dual sim or it has something to do with the drivers, CPU on the phone? I saw the hero H6 modding thread here on xda..
2. How do I make a full back up of the phone so I can go back to the original settings if something goes wrong?
3. How do I install new ROM without bricking it?
4. Is it absolutely necessary to root before I install the new Android?
If you want more information about kernel, hardware or anything else I can tell you from "Android system info" application that I installed on it. I might be a noob but I can learn really fast.
Please help! I just need you people to point me into the right direction.
To see the phone just search "P800 Android" on google

this files was taken from russian forum (forum .china-iphone .ru / viewtopic .php?f=22&t=11424)
Thank you for this. I will try it. I just have some questions: who made this firmware? and why don`t they talk in english so everybody can understand? I need to know if anyone used this firmware and if there will be updated firmwares in the future.
This firmware is made by manufacturer of p800, "rooted" system.img repacked by enthusiast from Israel. I'm and other users from topic about p800 of forum china-iphone.ru use this firmware. Reseller in China promise to send newer firmware on this week. As soon as it happen, link will be available at that topic.
On that forum everybody talk in Russian and foreign-speaking peoples uses Google-translate service to understand us.
For me, for example, English is not comfortable. (I think you can see it in my posts because my grammar).
When the new firmware is available can you please post a link in this topic too?
And since you use this firmware can you tell me if some of the problems I have, are solved? For example:
-Android market working?
-proximity senzor
-microphone
-did you get rid of all those useless chinese applications?
-is it Android version 2.2 or 2.2.1?
-wireless working?
-bluetooth working (sending/receiving)
-both cameras working?
-GPS navigation with iGO working?
-if you reset the phone at factory settings do you lose the IMEIs?
what did you do to install this firmware?
Is adobe Flash and adobe reader working? what about yahoo messenger?

Ok, I'll post link to new firmware, when it will exist.
Mic on my phone working excellent, Android 2.2, proximity sensor worked on Z800_2.2GG_FLV01.01B11, but on Z800_2.2GG_FLV01.01B16 it is not working, both cameras taking photos, but not video. GPS works with (download .osmand .net /latest-night-build/OsmAnd-stable.apk). Wifi is ok. I didn't here about loosing IMEI by this device. I didn't use Andr. market. Now when you have root access you may uninstall everything yourself.
would you please see if the bluetooth, android market, flash player and yahoo messenger is working? Do I need offline maps for OsmAnd to work?
Just now I send a *.docx file to Nokia phone by bluetooth without any problem. OsmAnd as i know will ask you to download offline maps at first run (You need just select Country/region you want to download) BUT i don't know is it free or not. My phone have no internet connection now, thats why i can't help you with flash and yahoo
Hi,
I've questions about this phone. I've see this chinese model with new processor and dual sim support. On the paper it seems a very nice product:
http://www.shanzai.com/index.php/ma...00-phone-running-on-a-chinese-made-jz4760-cpu
but the problem is when i want to find to buy this product
1. is only in english or chinese (french is my mother tongue)
2. i had 3 p/n z800 or p800 or pz800 (in russia)
3. in some site it claims it's a MTK6515 cpu inside and is only a fake on the system properties for the p800
4. in all site it claims 256 ram and 512 rom, but in this topic you say 256/256
for exemple here for P800:
http://www.fastcardtech.com/goods-5...droid+22+os+GPS+Dual+sim+card+phone+wifi.html
and here for z800:
http://www.lightake.com/detail.do/s...iFi_JAVA_GPS_Qaud_Band_GSM_Smart_Phone_-37579
Where is the truth?
Finally if it's really the new Ingenic CPU, it's really better than a MTK6516?
Thanks for you advice

Hello.
1. Android on this phone (like on other) is multilingual (French exist exactly)
2. As i know p800 = z800 = pz800.
3. If it will be useful to you I can say that i owned Toshiba portege g810 for 1.5 years, p800 is really better. It is not so fast as HTC HD2, but not so slow as Toshiba Portege g810.
4. I don't know about it's ROM and RAM, beside it is enough for me.
Now some useful application are not installable on p800, but i believe that new firmware will made progress in this.
Some users said, that old versions of firmware had problems with low sensitive mic, now it is ok.
Till now the preamp level of speaker are too high, that is why not comfortable to use it on max volume.
And the 3rd difficulty us in setting up navigation software, people says, that it is impossible to install iGo or navitel (OsmAnd is workable).
The next problem is inability of setting max ringer alert volume, when speaking volume is not on the max level.
The quality of materials and manufacturing are high.
Oh, i forgot to say about excellent touch and bright (suppose AMOLED) screen.
The CPU model is jz4760
P. S. In store where i bought it the details are mistaken too ( www .aliexpress .com /fm-store/403972/210660520-441180847/Hot-Selling-2011-Android-2-2-Phones-P800-phones-with-gps-wifi-java-dual-sim-dual.html)

Please tell me step by step how did you root and install this firmware. If you could answer today it would be great. I tried to root with SuperOne Click to make a full backup in case something goes wrong but it didn`t work and I opened USBbootTool.exe but it`s in chinese and I don`t know what to do. A video tutorial would be really nice..
Step 1. Installing the driver loader.
0. Unpack the archive with the firmware.
1. Turn off the phone, remove battery.
2. Hold down the "volume up" button and connect to the cable.
3. Remove your finger from button. =)
4. PC will find new device and ask the driver (is sited in the "uboot_driver" folder).
5. after installing the driver to turn off the phone from cable.
Step2. prepearing Root
1. Replace file "system.img" in "img" folder with "system.img" from dedicated archive.
Step 3. Flashing:
1. Run USBBootTool.
2. Turn off the phone, detach battery.
3. Hold down the "volume up" button on the phone and connect USB-cable.
3 1/2. remove your finger from button.
4. The process will start automatically.
5. After flashing you'll see Chinese dialog window - it ask you to enter the serial number of 14 digits that has no matter.
6. After that, just insert the batteries, and power on your phone.
Warnings
1. This oeration will DELETE all your custom files, thats why backup phonebook to SD-card or to PC
2. Connect USB-cable to backplate of your PC and use original cable or better if possible.
3. Win 7 x64 didn't install that driver. You must use x86 (32bit) windows versions.

Thank you for the reply. Where can I get that serial number? And what do you mean it doesn't matter? What settings did you had in USBbootTool? Mine is in chinese.

Hi!
I didn't fill serial number at all, somebody fill this with random digits.
USBbootTool is in Chinese, all settings are correct, you do not need to change anything there. Just follow the instruction.
Good luck!
Thank you very much. It works.
1. After you unpack the archive the Z800_2.2GG_FLV01.01B16_生产版本 folder must be renamed to Z800_2.2GG_FLV01.01B16
2. The steps were correct but I don`t know how to verify that it`s rooted
3. Like you said it didn`t work on my Win 7 x64 so I went to my neighbor who had Win XP
4. I put 11111111111111 when it asked for serial number and it worked so it doesn`t matter indeed
5. Proximity senzor not working at all
6. Android keyboard missing (Sogou Input instead)
7. The name of the operators still doesn`t appear in notifications just like before. There are just some numbers: 22610 for Orange and 22603 for Cosmote
8. USSD code for Cosmote still not working. *123*2# - This is for showing me how many messages I have left on Cosmote.
I will test different applications so I can see what's working and I`m waiting for updated firmwares from you. Thanks again. You`ve been very helpful. There should be more people like you.

Thank you for comment.
I'm just translating information from Russian topic. And giving my experience of using this phone.
2. To verify rooting i'd install Root Explorer and now it is possible to set RW parametr on system folders. Some application start workig after changing firmware, before this apps said that root permission missed.
5. Yes, proximity sensor is not used by interface in this firmware.
6. Android keyboard are able to be selected. For example, open messages and choose creating of new SMS then made long press on text field and tap "select input method" appeared, you need to choose "Guboi alphabetic..."
7th & 8th problems are nod fixed yet
Hello everyone, I have the same phone and when I was trying to root it start making problems and then it's not booting anymore, so this firmware is very important to me, I'm in United Arab Emirates and it's almost impossible to download from Rapidshare. So can anyone be kind and upload both of the firmware to any other site midiafire will be great if possible
http://www.mediafire.com/?ptgu7rdps2gjd22
http://www.mediafire.com/?5j53v5x0zg6zc1c
At the end just wait until it doesn`t do anything anymore(just be patient), then unplug the cable, put the battery and power it on(don`t put the battery with the cable pluged, you could distroy the battery). The booting will take a little longer than before.
If you can root it, please tell me how you did it..
Let it now be hacked by the USA! France, those silly, um, baguette-eaters, via Bloggee, has several videos and some forums (in French) showing (but I don't think explaining) a hacked Archos 70B ereader/tablet. Can we get there??
I'd like to see a guide for hacking this 130 euro Android tablet!
About: I AM A N00B. I AM UNWORTHY! You are all wiser and cooler and better at all of this than me. I cannot write code, except some CSS and HTML, blah blah beginner stuff. I was the guy that jailbroke friends' iPhones when we studied in Italy. I like learning how to do things, but can't get extremely in depth, though I respect the process and the art behind it. Currently, my iPhone died so for a phone I have a quad-band Huawei J2SE POS I couldn't modify much, and a netbook with dual-boot Win7/Linux. Now in Germany, I bought a lovely Archos 70B ereader, and while it does the job of ereader, it's ugly and clunky and I want to hack it into running a cleaner, prettier Android ROM (with marketplace) since this seems to be a new device with a lot of potential.
Questions that haven't been answered by looking through these forums, and that I have encountered trying to customize my tablet:
Trying to get marketplace, I finally found an .apk to download, but trying to install, it said (paraphrase) "Only works with Froyo." SOO, Android's various versions (Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, etc) while all the same OS in a way, prevent apps compatible with one version from being installed onto another version. It's like trying to install Win95 stuff on XP, or Win7 stuff on XP. Correct?
Issue: Finding Eclair-compatible .apk files. Where are they? Or, can Eclair apps be installed on other builds of Android, & vice versa?
Trying to upgrade the hardware to Froyo, well, I can't find anything. If a machine has the minimum hardware specs, why is installing any version an issue? Why can't I just search certain websites for an installer package and then use it, like a Windows or Linux .ISO, etc?
Issue: Upgrading from one Android OS/version to another (Eclair to Froyo, Froyo to Gingerbread, Eclair to Gingerbread)
Trying to upgrade firmware on device, I've found that Archos' website has no downloads for 70B ereader...HMMM. Issue, much? My firmware on the device is 1.0.1. There is no "Update Firmware" option or anything, and the firmware display is grayed out, so you can't touch it for further details or anything.
Issue: How do I update/backup/recover firmware for this device (or any, I guess)
While I have found guides to using Nandroid to backup a system in case of issues, they all seem to require that you have Marketplace so you can get Nandroid...and since this Archos version of Android doesn't have Marketplace...I've tried AppBrain Appmarket but the webpage isn't helpful: it says dl nandroid from marketplace or navigate there on my device's browser, but my device's browser won't download the APK when I visit the site. How does one get nandroid and a solid backup without marketplace? (.apk anywhere??)
Permanent rooting on this device; currently I use Z4Root and do temporary rooting, since 1) that's what guides said worked and 2) I don't know if permanently rooting my device will somehow destroy my data or be unrecoverable without further restore options.
Issue: Permanent root vs. temporary root (and why use one or the other)
Installing a custom ROM. In short, because I just am not clear, can someone clarify for me? Is this like basically wiping the HDD to all 0's, down to the first sector, and installing an entire new OS (called a "ROM") onto the HDD? I know a flash HDD is different than a circular spinning drive with Windows and an MBR, etc, but I'm curious if a custom ROM erases EVERYTHING, including a flash drive equivalent to all recovery/installer partitions. Or is there a tiny partition left and, if the factory reset button is pushed, that reinstalls/recovers everything? If that is not the case, then don't I need stock Archos ROM to reinstall/recover, if I wanted to go back to that?
Issue: Does a custom ROM completely wipe a HDD all to 0's, and if so, how does recovery work if using a device-specific build for Android (like Archos')
Maybe nobody cares about this tablet, and sure it's slow, but having a sub-$200 Android tablet would rock, and figuring out how to root and ROM and customize a device would be great.
Also, I want to say that most important is knowing if/how/why I can return to my stock Archos version of Android if dissatisfied; second most importantly is how to improve this (and any) device with a crappy tweaked Android OS into a pretty and fast (with marketplace) Android OS.
THANKS

BQReaders voltaire is exactly same hardware than archos 70b ereader,
BQReaders voltaire use a "standard" google android interface: android market, no application install restriction, google account sync etc.
Rom install procedure:
Download 3 zips from bqreaders.com website:
Usb device driver, MSWindows upgrade software, bqreader voltaire firmware.
1. Uncompress the 3 zips on your windows desktop
2. Turn off the 70b
3. Connect 70b to your PC using the usb link
4. press and lock right arrow button on 70b
5. press and lock power button
6. windows detects a neu device.
7. remove locks on keys and install the new device using uncompressed drivers.
9. Run the upgrade softwarelancer: RKAndroidBatchUpgrade.exe (if driver is correctly installed, youshould see the square "1" in device upgrade area in green color.
10. Check "image", and select the firmware (.img) décompressé.
11. click on Upgrade.
12. The square blink in "orange" color.
13. The device restarts.
14. unconnect usb link
15. the upgrade procedure continue on 70b screen.
16. the device restarts showing "bq" logo
17. screen calibration.

IMPORTANT QUESTION !!
Can i downgrade when i do this ^^ ?
i have found this:
xxx:xxx.archoslounge.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17642&p=275535&viewfull=1#post275535
^^
firmware_Archos70bereader.zip
xxxx:xxx.multiupload.com/U8MOUTWI5T
Does not work
It crashes at 99%. Luckily I had a recovery image.
I followed all the steps but can't get the image to install properly
We really need a rooted version of the BQ Voltaire software. Mine has now crashed twice since using it. If I could backup it wouldnt be nearly so bad.
The temporary root doesnt seem to work for me.
I have recently brought the Archos 70B ereader. I would like to know how to perform a factory restore. I have already tried to the reset button on the back, but that's just resulting in turning of the device. I also noticed the startup wizard on the setting menu, which after adjusting the startup setting is adding the factory apps back to the device. However, it does not seem to erase the whole internal memory like a real factory restore would do.
Does anyone knows how to perform a real hardreset on the reader?
Thanx.
I have upgraded my 70b succesfully with the BQ firmware.
It runs nicely tho it seems the battery is having a hard time.
So far i haven't managed to get it to last for more then a day.
Currently testing with juice defender to see if it helps.
I noticed some questions about reinstalling the default archos image (factory reset). The procedure to do this is the same as the installation of the BQ firmware. You just need to select the correct image.
So make sure you have both the archos and the bq image before attempting the upgrade. When you brick it, use the installation procedure to get it back to life.
However, when done properly, the BQ firmware should work.
Note: The drivers are not compatible with a 64bit OS. I flashed mine with an old XP-32 running laptop where WIN7-64 would fail.
I have a bq Voltaire running latest firmware (1.0.8) an i was able to temp root with Universal Androot.
will try to perm root and report back
...but is there any rom with software buttons (back, home, menu)?
because the bq does not have them...
cheers
EDIT: was unable to perm root with either Universal Androot or z4root...
I also have the software installed BQ. Works perfectly. I can not say that the batterylif is a problem. BQ software works much better tehn de the Archos Software.
The Archos 70 b eReaders and BQ Voltaire tablet run with the firmware Voltaire_20110699_v2.0.9.-2 _update.img very stable. For some days has been there one for this equipment android 2.2 version. There were some crahs on my device with that and moving the Apps on a SD card also doesn't work.
A rooted version with containedly in the Link2SD (you can move the Apps on SD card) the above-mentioned version in the link. E.g. an optimal mode of operation is possible with a 32 GB SD card class 10.
The Mini tool partition software can with standalone the SD card be formatted into 2 partitions. 1st partition FAT32 (e.g. 28 GB) 2nd partition ext3 (rest) both primary.
The approx. 2 GB suffice for many Apps.
For link see Archosfans forum. (i can't write link here)
Works like a charm with the Voltaire rom!
So THANX guys

Hallo all and thank you for this great manual.
I allready prepared all: downloads, installing usb and uncompressing and so on, tryed many times, but my problem is your point 7): remove key-locks. , whichj I didn´read clearly before and thats why I want to install any new system on my/our Archos BQVoltaire: My daughter played with the login until it was locked and I do not have any Google-Password to unlock this. Nor dont know, how to hard reset or anything else. I am just a user, nothing else. Tried everything, but didn´t get it.
Do anybody hav an idea, how I can solve this, I would be really happy. Thx a lot in advance.
Giant THANKS, is easy as instruction say, and works a charm...now i have a tablet instead of a****!

Point 7) of the instruction ????
Maybe for you woks like a charm. :good: Congratulations, fine for you.
But my problem has not been solved, since july last year!! I understand the entire instruction, already downloaded all indicated files, but as I already mentioned, my problem is point 7 of the instructions: "7. remove locks on keys and install the new device using uncompressed drivers"
.
The thread here is called something like "how to hakk keylocked installation...". Isn´t it?
But in Point 7) says: ".. remove locks on keys..." !!! What a fool is this, it is ridiculous. If I could remove this f... keylock manually, so why should I make a hard-reset.??? This is the REASON for what I´m going to do this !!!
My Archos ereader is not stolen nor part of any fraud. It just were handled foolish form my daughter, which is 10 y old.
Ok, if anybody have another idea, how to remove this keylock, you are welcome, thx

For me it was the same. The drivers are working only on 32-bit win WinToUSB - cool tool, if you don't want to reinstall your win.

Good Evening every one,
So I've got the Asus Fonepad 7 K00Z (build version WW v5.4.2 ) with android 4.4.2 installed.
Last week-end I was notified that there was a new system update so I downloaded and installed it.
When the instalation ended I discover that it has installed a lot of ZenUI application that I really don't want to use. And more important the same system update notification was present.
I tried to downloaded and installed it but nothing different happend. And I realise that once I've downloaded it, the title of the installation notification was that the previous one was a failure.
So I decided to not worry about the update and root my phone so that I will be abble to delete the ZenUI application.
I follow this tutorial with no problem and start to delete the app with no visible problem (I know that I should have froze them #Imstupidsometime).
But when I shut down my phone and want to reboot it load infinitely and I'm forced to launch droidboot and to reinstal the factory setting. And then I have no acces to the home page. If I want to acces to my application I need to go on the play store througth the notification menu and then to open the application. Or to navigate througth the open application menu. And sometime it is said that "com.android.systemui" do not work anymore...
So I think I have deleted some system file which were hidden in the ZenUI application I've deleted...
I think I need to reinstalle the ROM (wich, i think, can be found here, in the menu "source code) but I don't know how to do it...
Can you help me to reinstall it ?
Thanks a lot and sorry for my poor english...
-----------
TL;DR;
- Asus Fonepad 7 K00Z (build version WW v5.4.2 ) with android 4.4.2
- rooted
- delete some ZenUI app #DumbIdea
- no access to the home page of the phone
- need reinstall ROM or custom ROM or anykind of advice
I need some assistance trying to find a method to root my Dash M (which appears to be extremely rare to find a rooting method for).
I already tried framaroot (tool I used to root my tablet before) and Kingroot and such, but none were able to do it (and all google searches led to videos on rooting a BLU Dash 5.0 or another device from the Dash range, which isn't what I needed).
The Dash M is running Android 5.1 and custom build BLU_D030U_V16_GENERIC 28-01-2016 15:41
If anyone could help it'd be very much appreciated c:

I have a Blu Advance 5.0, from the same exact family. In May, they had an OTA sent out to it to update the security. And little did I know, that meant no more root. Before the OTA to V06, I was on V04, and was able to root with Kingroot in less than a minute, perfectly. After the update, nothing good came of it.
For the past months I've tried hundreds of things to flash custom roms and recoveries (which I figured it out eventually) and then it crashed, due to a "damaged OTA". This meant that it couldn't update because I was rooted.
So here's the solution... If there's any older versions of your model or chipset (AKA Mediatek D030UX, D030U {MT6580}), download that firmware to your computer desktop as a (.zip) file. Then download the SP Flash Tool (Smart phone flash tool) from their website, and plug your phone into your computer via Media Transfer (MTK).
If you already have developer's options enabled, skip this.
- Go into your settings, go all the way down to "About Device", and find where it says "Build Number" (which will most likely have the phone brand in the file name). Tap on that about 8 times until it give a toast notification saying "Developer's Mode Enabled".
After you get that done, go back into your regular setting and now there should be a box above your "About Device" button that says "Developer Options". Tap that, then turn them on (press OK/YES if a prompt pops up) and then select the following options ,if available.
-OEM Unlock
-USB Debugging
Now plug your phone into a computer and install the drivers for your phone (it should do it automatically) and launch the SP Flash Tool that you had downloaded (extract to desktop before you launch, or it will show "error"). Now open the SP Flash tool and click on the "Scatter Loading" button. Navigate to your desktop, and find the firmware folder you downloaded. Click on that, then click on "Firmware", and it should bring up a .TXT file (Scatter file) with the desired firmware version you want. Click on it and press open.
A chart will appear in the space below with all the things the firmware has built in. All of them should be checked. Take out your battery now (from your phone) and plug the phone in without the battery. Wait for the model on the left to name your device, and click on the drop down list above the chart, it should give 3 options. Firmware Upgrade, Download only, and Format All + Download. Press Format All + Download. The bar at the bottom will turn a few colors, depending on what it's doing.
Now you're done! It's flashed. From that version, try to figure out a way of rooting it.
WARNING: Flashing erases all data on device, please backup to an external storage (SD CARD), before attempting this, in case you brick your device.

i know this is an old thread but.... i rooted mine (Dash M) with KingoRoot (look it up on Google)... i tried lots of stuff with no results, everything failed (i've already tried to root with KR in windows) but the only thing that worked was rooting with the android app in KR page... i felt really stupid after trying everything with no results when i've been using KR for other "hard phones".... either way, the only downside is that their SU manager displays all the time ads no matter where in the phone you are... but you can freeze the app to fix this and unfreeze it when you need to assign permissions....
BTW: its KingoRoot not kingroot (just in case)
UNBRICK BOOTLOADER LOCKED/UNLOCKED HUAWEI P20Requirements
HISuite Proxy
HISuite
Huawei Firmware Finder (Team MT)
Bricked Device (Locked or Unlocked doesn't matter)
Before You Start
This Guide is for Soft Bricked devices. (Phone should have a working Fastboot)
Bootloader Locked or Unlocked doesnt matter.
Check your Model No. written on back of your phone. Its either EML-L09 or EML-L29. You must Find and Flash Right links for your Model Number from FirmwareFinder, Country Code i.e. C55, C109, C782 etc. don't matter so Flash whichever one you like.
If your device bricked beacuse it failed on EMUI 10 update, make sure to Flash EMUI 10 CUST, PRELOAD & BASE Package otherwise it will fail.
Do this at your own Risk.
How to
Install latest version of HISuite and don't run it.
Open HISuite-Proxy as administrator and click on httpcomponent.dll, it will automatically search for httpcomponent.dll located usually in C:/Program Files(x86)/HiSuite and let the tool patch it.
Find your BASE, CUST, and PRELOAD packages on FirmwareFinder, they are needed to perform a system recovery and then insert their links into their respective textboxes in HiSuite-Proxy.
I filled these for EML-L09, just an example for you
Code:
[url]http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5422/g1755/v407185/f1/full/changelog_base.xml[/url] EML-LGRP2-OVS 10.0.0.167
[url]http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5422/g1755/v401513/f1/full/changelog_cust_ti_it.xml[/url] EML-L09-CUST 10.0.0.8(C55)
[url]http://update.dbankcdn.com/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G5422/g1755/v401526/f1/full/changelog_preload_ti_it_R1.xml[/url] EML-L09-PRELOAD 10.0.0.3(C55R1)
Select "Recovery OS" in HISuite Proxy.
Tick CUST PKG & Preloaded PKG Boxes in HISuite Proxy.
Make sure you don't close HISuite-Proxy throughout the entire process.
Open
Code:
C:/Users/yourusername/AppData/Local/HiSuite/UpdateDogDev/HiSuiteConfig.xml
and add an entry for your phone model if there isnt like this
Add your phone model below <REGION name="Default"> and <REGION name="China">
Code:
<rule type="EML-L09" cnName="HUAWEI P20" enName="EML-L09" option="" ></rule>
<rule type="EML-L09" cnName="荣耀 P20全网通" enName="HUAWEI P20" option="" ></rule>
Launch HISuite & Set HISuite to use a proxy in Settings and use IP: 127.0.0.1 and Port: 7777 as HISuite-Proxy says.
Get phone into Fastboot mode ( Power it off, then press power key + volume down for several seconds ) Connect it to PC by USB.
Click System Recovery in HISuite and it will hopefully start recovering your Phone.
Thanks to
@nomone for the Guide.
@IProfessor for the HISuite Proxy.
Team MT for FirmwareFinder.
Well done buddy, thanks for making this guide, keep it up!
Hi Suit gives me an info that my phone does not support system recovery is there anything that i can do?
Hi there @uzairabdulmajeed
I've followed all your steps but unfortunately, it doesn't work. After setting up HiSuite-Proxy, enabling my phone model on HiSuiteConfig.XML and pointing HiSuite to proxy 127.0.0.1, port: 7777, once I click System Recovery, and finally Recover, it has thrown an error: "No Internet connection. Please check your network settings". With removing the proxy and port on HiSuite I just got: "No recovery packages for your phone model".
Any idea? I really messed up with my phone and I need to recover it somehow

It’s related to v11 of HiSuite Just use version 10.x from Here
Full list of HiSuite versions: Full list
Many thanks to
@uzairabdulmajeed @nomone and @IProfessor for all the hard work. The above steps do work with the sidenote that the latest HiSuite version 11.x will fail with that "No Internet connection". so maybe a small notice/update to the OP will help others.
My P20 bricked after EMUI10 OTA Update...
I have tried the method here, with RecoveryOS option Hisuite didn't find any Recovery package, if I choose NormalOS, it runs and downloads all three zips, but failed in the step flash Recovery.
Can anyone help me? Thx.
Hi sorry for bringing this post back but is there other way I could unbrick my Huawei P20? I tried this method but failed, it says after clicking recover, "This device device is not supported for system recovery" something like that and the logs in HiSuite have messages like "FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error))\r\nfinished. total time: 5.003s\r\n[tid=18000]]]]" . Maybe there's another way for? This is a locked bootloader Huawei P20 (EML-L29-C636). Hope you can help me or someone could. Thank you.
is it possible to change my p30 pro single sim (VOG-L09) to p30 pro dual sim (VOG-L29) through hisuite proxy?

Works but you will lose Safetynet pass, google pay will not work
You lose OTA updates too, you will have to always update using hisuite proxy.
Thats not a problem for Ota updates, Google pay and safetynet at least the phone will work
