My newly bought CCA was short lived. Just bought, used for 2 days and now it goes solid orange led. Tried FDR procedures, disconnect one minutes, reconnect and press the button for 25 seconds, still got solid orange led.
Seller won't back the warranty as it's import to my country, Indonesia.
My inspections, when it power up normally the led goes solid white briefly before turns to solid orange, but whenever I hold the button while plugging it in, the led goes solid white for one second before changing to solid orange.
Is it possible to resurrect this dead CCA?
Try a different power supply. Mine does this when using an external battery, and oddly, only when the external battery is connected to the mains and at 100%. I measured the voltage which was as low as 4.2V when the battery was charged and at 100%.

I'll start by saying I don't have any prior history of this XDA IIs and what caused it to get to the point it is at now. All I can tell you is the things I have tried to revive it.. maybe someone knows some CPR for these things..haha. Anyway, I got this unit and first thing was I put the battery in the cradle ext charger with the orange charge LED "with the 5v PSU" and waited a few hours and the light turned green so I would start with a fully charged battery. I have tried holding down the power button, pressing reset + power, reset + camera + power, reset + camera + record + power. It seams this thing will not power on and/or enter bootloader. The charge LED does not light when the unit is in the cradle. However if I take the battery out and plug the XDA into the cradle the charge light turns red indicating a battery problem so at least something happens. One last bit of information, when I put the battery in and press the power button for the first time the charge led very breifly and faintly flashes green.. prob doesn't mean much. I have opened it up and everything looks good inside.. no corrosion as if it was dropped in water or something. What could cause it to go completely dead.. is there any hope at this point? If not I will probably just look for another "bad screen IIs" and use this screen.. could also sell the camera and back..
Bump. I am curious abou tthis.
My touch Pro2 is blinking amber and green when power off and when powered on Also blinks and will not charge.
Read some posts it says it overheating, not mine it cool to touch and works fine. I don't think its the charge port because when power off I insert cable and it will go to amber or 5 seconds then that blinking alternating amber green.
does anyone know where the power magement ic is located on the board.
I going to try reflowing the entire board, but if I knew where the pm ic was would try that 1st. thanks.
already reset phone so it's not software issue.
It's either overheating or your battery needs to be replaced.
Before you go tearing your device apart, you could simply try another battery or try charging the battery outside of the device. Occasionally, when the battery level drops too low, the device doesn't have enough juice to charge at all and will fall into an infinite boot loop. It's easier and cheaper to just try an outside source to eliminate the obvious answers first.
I left my moto 360's charger while I went out for a trip and I was only able to charge it when I got back home. I left it to charge for about 3 hours and the screen never turned on.
I've tried charging it for a good 8 hours before trying to boot it, but still nothing.
I also tried hard restart through holding the button down for 25-30 seconds, and my moto 360 never vibrated, nor did the screen light up.
I then hooked it up to my wall adaptor charger with an indicator light and it seems that the white led light at the button of the charging cradle lit up, but when I checked the wall adaptor's indicator light, it did not light to to signal that nothing was charging or plugged at all.
I live in the Philippines and I had it shipped from the USA, that's why having it replace is not possible
Any ideas? Thanks in advance
Originally I took it apart and found that the charging part was disconnected, a common issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U4aaqnRpoo I resoldered and reconnected and then the orange charging light came on. I left it along with a 2 amp charge for 3 hours. I figured that should be enough to get the damn screen to turn on but when I did the green light came on. After that, the orange light won't turn at all when I plug it in. NO lights turn on when I plug it in, (if it was full it should be green right)
Every time I press the power button the green light comes on for approx 1.5 seconds. I have tried holding the power down for 30 counted seconds and then turning it on again, no change. I tried the Kindle Fire Utility could never get the kindle to register, even after installing the drivers. I suspect the problem is still a really dead battery (friend had the "dead, won't charge" kindle in his drawer for +2 years, I said I would try to fix it for him when I found out). But if the orange light won't come on, is it even charging?

Adding on to this after 4 days without a single reply... is there a way to DRAIN YOUR BATTERY dead? I believe mine is stuck in a partial power soft brick but u need to have it completely dead so i can get that orange light to come on again. Thanks
So I was using my tablet one evening and the battery was drained down to 5%. I turned it off and set it away. When I returned to use it the next day it wouldn't turn on. Thinking it had no charge left, I set it to charge. I noticed the red charging light would not come on. The screen remains black at all times. I could feel a source of heat from behind the plastic backing. Some searches indicated the charging cable from the battery to the motherboard could be the culprit. I opened the back and found it seated. I removed it and reseated anyway. I left the cover off the back and plugged in the charging cable. I could feel one of the chips by the power button getting quite hot. Again, no red light to indicate charging, black screen. I have tried plugging the tablet into my computer and doing every combination of button holding for minutes that searches have supplied, POWER+VOLUME UP+ HOME, POWER+VOLUME DOWN, etc. No luck. I purchased a newer battery ( I've only used the tablet for about a month, and sparingly at that) and swapped it. No red light, same hot chip. Is the motherboard junked? Am I missing something? Appreciate any help.

Scritterz: Nothing has happened as of yet, it's become a paperweight.
Thanks Mr niceguy, I'm going to give that a shot. Couldn't hurt. I have however already purchased and installed a new battery with no change in operation, that chip on the motherboard still gets hot, no charging indicator light is lit and it just sits there not turning on.
