Hi, everyone.
Saw the bullet wireless 2 and it sounds impressive on paper but recently I saw a true wireless earbuds Blaupunkt BTW01
I want you guys opinion about these two earbuds, by reviews on Amazon or some other sites, Btw01 take around 2 hrs to full charge and last for 6 hrs which is kind of disappointing compared to one plus, but it has better balance in high and low with punchier lows compared to OnePlus.
So, above are on papers and reviews. What do you guys think, which one should I go for.

I was thinking about the OnePlus bullets but I found something else that is completely awesome. Anker Zolo Liberty true wireless earbuds. 8 hours, and with the charging case 100 hours. They sound amazing. Might consider them also. If you're looking for a truly great sounding completely wireless earbud, check out the NuForce Move. They are up for preorder on Massdrop.
https://drop.com/buy/drop-nuforce-move-wireless-in-ear-monitors
They aren't the typical "OMG Moar BASS" sound that has sucked out middle frequency response and uneven and elevated treble. They do have plenty of bass, but don't sacrifice vocal or instrument clarity to get there, as they have a more neutral sound response.
I listen to blues, rock, metal, and electronic music, and I'd recommend these.
Otherwise, you have the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless and RHA TrueConnect which are also well reviewed. I haven't heard the RHA, but the Senns are pretty nice.

I haven't heard them, but ears I trust have done comparisons to IEMs I have heard or owned, so I do have a very good frame of reference. Specifically, the Massdrop Plus earphones and CA Andromeda. I owned the Plus which were very good (and which I lost/had stolen at the San Diego airport) and I can confirm were smooth operators. In this post he compared the Move to the Plus IEMs:
https://superbestaudiofriends.org/i...ce-move-wireless-iem-review.7867/#post-258593
I've preordered mine based on those recommendations because I've been a member at SBAF for a long time, am friends with quite a few of the senior members, and I trust their ears enough to make blind purchases like this.

Yeah. I've loved them so far. Picked them up for 100 bucks. More than worth it.
Right now one of the best TWS earphones you can get are these pairs:
https://us.creative.com/p/headphones-headsets/creative-outlier-air
They specifically go well with Qualcomm SD845 & SD855 devices because they
are made with Qualcomm's QCC302x series chips which utilize Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo Plus technology, Qualcomm® Broadcast Audio technology, Qualcomm TrueWireless™ Stereo technology, Qualcomm® aptX™ audio technology, Qualcomm® cVc™ audio technology and Low Latency technology.
They are power efficient and carry 7 to 9 hours of listening with a single charge and these pairs also
support ACC natively which is nice if you ever own an apple product down the road and above all, they
only cost $79 Bucks right now for a limited time, I think.
I'll get mine in a week, I'll let you know. I like the 10 min charge time
Bump: For users looking at buying the OnePlus Bullet 2
The OnePlus Wireless are a pair I own and they may not sound the best but they were really convenient to use. Just remove the magnetic housings from one another and boom you were immediately connected to your previous device. The series 2 are a triple driver situation which should make things sound better and more than likely only improving on the aesthetics/design.
True Wireless Headphones(TWS) have gotten really far and the convenience alone helps break the bridge between wireless and wired usage. The sound of nearly all true wireless headphones in the $99 range are not going to compete well with the bullet 2s but from my own personal use. The first time I heard music through a decent pair of TWS, I just had the largest smile come across my face. It is incredible listening to music with nearly nothing in or around your head/neck area. Even now with over a 100 pair of headphones I find myself looking for my Airpods or Liberty Airs. Just my 2cents

Those look pretty good too...Thanks I'll look into them and go from there. The Creative ones may still win because of the USB C port being everything seems to be moving that direction and it's nice to not have to deal with multiple connectors and cords.

I got my set at Fry's for $50. I can see them being a problem with someone with a large head though, as the cord isn't very long. I also have experience with the Moto S10's which are also nice.
Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth. They are in-ear earbuds but you can simply unplug them and plug in any other headphone that have the 3.5mm plug turning them into Bluetooth. So you can take your favorite wired headphone and make them Bluetooth. I wear them everyday and they are only $40-$50 on Amazon.

I recently bought a pair of future sound lab zero headphones (also for use at the gym) and am quite satisfied with them. Very comfortable and great sound quality.
Only annoyance is the non-standard charging plug. Would've been better if they'd used a mini or micro usb port.

I've been using these for about 3 years without a problem. Paired with Poweramp's equaliser, you can really tune them to suit your taste and genre of music. They're also decent on battery, cheap, and eady to modify.
I bought a pair of Motorola S305 headphones, they are over the ear style, the band goes behind the neck, they charge with standard micro usb, the sound is decent, a little static in my ears on phone calls, but people say they can hear me better than on my phone alone. I've recommended them to my friends, and four of them bought them, all but one still loving them. The other sold them for inner ear bud style ones.
I'm still using mine, still loving them

Bluetooth 5 has a range 120 to 140 feet, as apposed to 33 feet with most 4.1 bluetooth devices. But you will need a bluetooth device that matches the bluetooth accessory to get the distance. There are also other enhancements such as multiple devices can be used at the same time. I read an articel on this a few weeks ago. I hope my memory has given you some big enhancements with bluetooth 5.

Bose sound sport wireless for the win. They are awesome sound quality. 150 bucks. In my opinion the new truly wireless 250 dollar ones aren't worth it.
I bought these when I was waiting on my Essential to come, and they actually worked really well. Wasn't sure about the whole noise cancelling thing, but since they don't need to be charged separately (the phone powers the noise cancelling), I figured I would give them a shot. Really liked them, but ended up returning the Essential in favor of the 2 XL, so now I'm just hoping they're compatible, but I'm hoping that won't be an issue...they're not the most comfortable, since they have the large rubber things so they stay in place for active folks (I'm not one of them), but I got used to them. And the noise cancelling and ambient noise feature are actually pretty useful. But they've been sitting dormant since I returned the Essential and came back to good old Shamu (If only I could find a reverse 3.5mm -> USB-C adapter hahah). The fact that I got them for like $80 (down from $200 which is just ridiculous) made it a pretty good deal in my mind. The 17th can't come soon enough!
PS I wanted earbuds and didn't want wireless, or anything that needed to be charged, but the options seem to be extremely limited at this point

Another agreed, they are excellent for my HIIT cardio workouts and reasonable price!
I love my PowerBeats 2. I previously tested a bunch of different Bluetooth headphones for the gym and these are the only ones that stay in my ears consistently and have excellent sound. Battery life is around 8 hours and the Bluetooth connection distance is quite good. I can put my phone on a ledge and work my way through a ~100ft area for the weights and never lose signal.
If I decide to go with the Pixel 2 XL (still debating) I'll be getting the PowerBeats 3 for the gym and leave my PowerBeats 2 at my office desk. One area of contention with the loss of the headphone jack is that I work from home full time and have various clients calling me multiple times a day. So I usually have a set of wired headphones sitting on my desk that I can quickly plug in before answering the phone. With the 2 XL I won't have that option so I'll resort to the PowerBeats 2 to always be ready to quickly turn on and pair.
For those wondering, the PowerBeats 3 are essentially the same as the previous generation but with an even greater Bluetooth signal range and longer battery life.
I have been using the Samsung Gear Circle for years. They sounds great, stay in my ear while at the gym and the battery seems to last forever.

I bought airpods. It seems they work fine as long you use only with one devices.
But for me switching between 3 devices (Pixel 2, Android Tablet, Windows Laptop) was a nightmare.
I actually came to a point of frustration when I could not get airpods staying connected to my tablet, so I seriously consider returning them.
I love my Bragi Dash Pros, they sound great and have a lot of feature to them. The noise cancelling is excellent and the gestures are really nice once you get use to them.
Unfortunately, they suffer from the Pixel Bluetooth bug like many other BT headsets (Can prompt voice command, but it won't hear you, supposed to be fixed soon).
The biggest issue I have in general is their Bluetooth signal strength, I haven't had issues using them with the Pixel fortunately but on my OP5, just putting my phone in my back pocket would cause audio to cut in and out.
Odd thing is I could set my OP5 down and go over a room and they would be fine, so IDK.
Anyways:
Pros:
Great sound for BT headphones (especially with V4A!!)
lots of features (Alexa integration just got added too)
Great battery life (definitely get around 5 hours of use out them at work, pop them in the case when I go to lunch which holds a lot of charge, top back up quick!)
Cons:
No AptX
Expensive compared to some of the competition
BT connection could be better with certain devices
Got a Sennheiser CX BT7.00 bundled with the Google Pixel 2 as a pre-order offer. Have been using it for the past couple of days and must say it is making complete use of aptX.
I bought the MEIZU EP52 from here https://www.geekbuying.com/item/MEIZU-EP52-Bluetooth-Headphones-with-Mic-385260.html. They're $37. and sound good, especially for the price. I've paired them with several devices without problems. Also, one very important point is that the headphones are APT-X digital audio compatible. If you don't get APT-X on your headphones, when you watch a video the lip sync will most likely be off. There are reviews available on youtube.

Those Dach Pros are awesome looking earbuds! I just realized that this thread was meant specifically for "truly" wireless earbuds. Anyway I was curious and checked the specs for the Dach Pros, apparently they suppport the AAC codec which has low latency. My Pixel 2 uses the AAC codec in my BMW and it sounds pretty good.
Do these earphones exist? Every headset I've seen with apt-x HD has only 2 or 3 hrs battery life.
i.Tech ProStereo H2 (10 hours).
Sony WI-H700 (8 hours).
Audio Technica ATH-DSR5BT (8 hours).
Yeah, they're not cheap.

What's this rubbish lol?
This doesnt have apt-x. Also what brand is this?
These claim 6-8 hours run time. Can't say I've ever tried to use mine for that long but I've been pretty happy with em. The same company makes pretty similar ones with a larger battery also, if you don't mind having a neck band they even have a set that claims to run for 16 hours. Charges with micro USB, but no way to change the battery when it kicks the bucket is the only downside.

I use the LG tone pro whatever hbs-820 for work. when I'm not making long phone calls to co workers to pass the time I'm always streaming music on them. The site says they're Qualcomm aptx comparible and they sound clear and accurate. New, I'd get two days of use out of them, year later if everyday use, probably a day, I'll solder a new battery in when I'm bored.
If you do get anything over the neck one like those, I recommend it have retractable earbuds, the magnetic ones fall off easily and flap around, it's the worst.
My 2 cents also, if it's quality audio you want, if it has a battery on it, it's gonna be pricy. If they're earphones yeah, you'll get the low frequency but will it as bold as you want it to be? I've heard homemade headphones that sound better than over priced "audiophile" branded ones (some Asian hobbyist make headphones, idk how, i found it online). But lastly aptx/aptxhd is just a high quality signal, you can put trash speakers to any high end tube amp (or whatever the kids rave about these days) but they'll still sound like trash.
I use these, they are fantastic and cheap. I really don't know what I'm missing out on when I see those $120+ kind... these are aptX supporting...

So my last phone before getting the Pixel 3 XL was an LG V30. One of the things I really missed about that phone was the built in quad DAC. I'm not a huge audiophile but I bought a pair of 50 ohm earbuds that the Pixel just won't power enough. I was looking at getting the FiiO A1. Any opinions on that or any other amp/DAC?

Boost volume big time, at some point in high volume gets distorted but full eq to tune to your iiking.
There is a free version to try before buying
go to visit your ear doctor and get the ears picked might solve your problem.
Just teasing lol
Man....many years of listening to music at high volume has led me here. No doctor needed ?
Might be worth keeping an eye on the Helm Boostcable. It's a minimalist, inline amp so it's ultra portable... It just hasn't released yet so who knows if it will actually be worth buying at launch.
Seems like a cool idea though.
I just order this today. Lots of good reviews.

Okay, I just got both units today the spectra X and the Sennheiser 650. WOW! right off the bat I can tell you that both units are well worth the money. The spectra X can be ordered with different connections. I order the USB C to 3.5 Jack. The dac makes a huge difference even with light weight headphones the sound is cleaner, clearer and WAY more distinct then the dac build into the Pixel 3xl. So far I really like it and highly recommend.
The Sennheiser 650, oh my God it's day and night compared to my bose QC35ll. I'm listening to them right out of the box, raw without burning them in and the sound is already amazing! The sound stage is so much larger and smooootthhhher then my bose. I'm no stereo expert, all I know is what I like, and boy, what I hear, I like!

The P3XL doesn't have an analogue output, the built-in DAC exclusively drives the speakers
[my recommendation... V50. :good:
I highly recommend these, for the price it is unbeatable.

You should see tge costs of numerous studio grade headsets. These are actually middle of the road in terms of price. A number of sers exceed $700. In no way am I saying the juice is worth the squeeze just that while high compared to generally good consumer sets these are not crazy $$ when you get into top audiophile levels. Forums in general bring out those of extremes regardless of the focus.
I will say the dac analog inline converter while may be great perf even @ the $189 price tag seems to have an issue with droppibg the left channel to speaker. I have seen a few complaints about this and they are specific to the left channel. One I just thought was some extreme nut given his novel long review rant update but then there want another then anothet. All got bad CS and for this price tag which is the top in this form factor that is just not acceptable. The issue could be minor but NOT bad unattentive CS when average unit prices are less thsn 1/2 the cost of this unit.
