Request: playstation3 remote

Hei, and BRAVO to the brilliant minds out there for creating so manny programs, and apps for us with non develloper skils at all. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
My request is for a PS3 remotecontrol for use on dvd ore blueray playback.
Mabye allonge the same lines as Gremote, but via bluetooth.
I do belive it should be possible, and I would deffenetly donate for something like that.
Thanks again guys, and keep up the fantastic work.
chriss66
something defo worth paying for!
No intention in bringing your hopes down, however the same talk has circulated the forums for the Wii and 0 progress has been made on it. Maybe if there is more interest in the PS3, it'd be possible but it seems like it's a tough task.
I'm not sure but does wii support bluetooth and at the end of the day ps3 is more being refered to as a super computer so i'm sure working with hardware like that would be alot easier than the wii but this is only an assumption.
an app like that for the ps3 would be awesome!!! if the great minds of xda could cook something i def buy not only a beer but a case
It would help if there was a total amount donated (or willing to donate) in the first post. That way a developer would know how much this project is worth to them.
as much as i'd love this this, the request/idea has been around for a long time without progress..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347772
but if it can be done on a blackberry there doesn't seem to be any reason why it can't be done on winmo:
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2009/01/10/unify4lifes-blackberry-products-demoed-at-ces/
I Dont need the hole keybord, typing meseges thing, just som simple play, pause, skip, etc, etc.
And i don't think u have to do ennything with the ps3, just a ""simple"" prog fore the phone. Butt, then again, I'm no develloper
This sounds very interesting. Im ashamed to say but I've always been to tight to pay out for the remote as I just dont want to add yet another remote control to library of remotes. And this would give me the remote I would love to have without adding to the collection!
Would there be a way to use the standard keyboard thats on windows mobile and maybe add the play and stop buttons to the application itself. Might not be able to be done but I dont know how to program these things, just an idea.

i would drop in $60US towards the cause. it really would be a cool program to have. hopefully we can have a few more people make some donation's and maybe some one out there would take up the challenge.
50 AUD for a working remote with WVGA portrait and landscape support.
A bluetooth keyboard for the PS3 like i used Pebbles on my Treo 650 to remote control the PC under the TV would also be cool. And worth some cash.
I would donate 10 dollars for a working remote for PS3
searching the net there seems to be alot of interest all across the board from ppc forums to ps3 forums. but heres something interesting i found a kind of hybrid wm cross psp.

Request to improve hd

Hi All
This is a request for all developers of xda please help us to make the touch hd
very good more than the iphone. I see that the iphone apps make it very sensationl and THE HD has touchflo3d,very wide screen,G-senso, Accelerometer sensor, can be multi touch and many features and specs more than the iphone. When i see the the i phone with my friend and lots of applications which are very funny and look to HD, really i feel i want to sell my HD and buy iphone
,but i like HD more i do not why so please help us?
I read once on an arabic forum "Why do not HTC has a partnership with any company such as microsoft to open the way for programers to make application for htc company like the iphone ?"
and no one answer,so let we do this coz no one use the hd and get bored.
I hope i could be reconciled

Hi
Firstly what are you asking? Do you want us to make you feel better having purchased an HTC Touch HD and now you envy your friends with iPods/iPhones? I don't think that's going to happen.
There are plenty of good and even great software packages out there for us to choose from. Admittedly not that many amazing games but then the HD is seen as a more professional tool than the ipod which is really a nice looking gadget phone.
If you want daft stuff to impress your mates we have a useless light sabre thing, a fart machine and a great but useless imitation hair clippers program should you wish.
I don't intend to waste my time documenting the difference between the two phone they both have their merits.
Microsoft are setting up an Application store as per apple iTunes etc and this will give more exposure to current software.
My suggestion is use your Touch HD as the best current phone on the market and but an iPod Touch for games and an MP3 player and you have the best of both worlds.
Regards
Are they comming out with the application staor this year?
That would be the smartest thing to do!

This is a very good game. With this game you can impress your friends who have a Iphone if that is what you want.

Share your Acheivments Score..

Hi,
I think it would be nice if everyone can tell us each other their achievments score on XLive.. if your total includes score from Xbox than please mention it.. as Xbox players get higher scores easily..
My present AS is : 1825, all from Windows Phone games as I dont have Xbox ...
If you want to compare your scores with mine than you can always add me at: Pulakification.
I think its a shame that we have to be Xbox gold members in order to message each other.. sometime I get stuck in some level and I want to ask other players on my list how did they cleared it, but I can message them because I am not a Xbox Gold member.. also I think the 'gamer of the week' is always picked from Xbox gamers with gold membership...
I'm not sure what my exact GS is. Something around 12500 or so. Mostly achieved through XBox games though. If anybody wants to add me, see my signature.
mine is 4115. gotten mostly from Xbox games (GTA 4 containing the majority of them) and windows phone games, had my Xbox since Feb and my arrive since march so that's pretty good for 5 months. my GT is the same as here on the forums.
GT: Yannie Boy
107172
Game on my 360, HD7 and PC.
240
Yes, 240
Mine is 6700 about 1200 or so from WP7

Why embarassing? Honestly, these points don't mean sh*t. The only thing they indicate is that someone has way too much time to spend on games.

I have a lot of score only because I buy a crapload of game.. not because I am good at any.. I have only completed Need For Speed and Rocket Riot Acheivments.. all the rest I am stuck in some levels.. beside I am AS score sucker..
I have noticed that these new games which come out lately, all AS scores dont unlock easily untill you finish the game, once you reach the final levels all AS scores starts unlocking very quickly one by one...
On some games like Sonic and Ilomilo.. I am stuck at level 2 or something.. Ilomilo I dont know how to cross the first level itself..
What exactly is the point of the score? Can I buy something with it? Will anyone know me for it?
Seems like a pointless reward system to make one feel better about buying and playing a game, nothing more.

You can't do anything with the gamer score (Mines only 1550 as of today), It's just like this. Compare with your friends and beat scores.
I guess the very, very high people might get into some contests or something but, over all, it's just bragging rights.
I never watched it really, I do play games on 360, PC, WP7...but, from getting my trophy with your scrore in your face every time you go into games, I am interested now. Good marketing I guess...
My Gamer tag is the same as my user name on XDA an other sites...DavidinCT (also on PSN too)

not even! they help one to get the most out of games that they buy for more replay value. for example if this wasn't around one would get all the unlockables and then not play the game again but with achievements u can still play to get them all even after all the unlockables are unlocked so it's more than a "pointless reward system to make one feel better about buying and playing a game, nothing more". however u do have those who are obsessed with their GS and will buy the stupidest games just for an easy 1000-1500pts and as a result have a GS over 25,000.
The point of Acheivement Score is to give you a human opponent and competetion.. and whats the point of playing a game without any competition?
my ones 30025, all from 360, windows pc, and windows phone. got lots of games, some are finished, but most arent. still trying to get 5 more on parachute panic, 10 more on fruit ninja, and 9 more in ilomilo, and 7 more in max and the magic marker.
still waiting for microsoft money to come on windows phone 7.

The point of that score is to get it as high as possible and to do that, you need to buy more games. Basically I think that it's a way to "trick" customers into buying more games to get an as high gamerscore as possible

that comment sounds really stupid on this thread. Yes the points dont mean much, but on a thread titled 'Share your achievements' you should be embarrased.
My GS is 3380, combo of XBox and WP7. Gamertag is Omnifather, feel free to add me.

Hey! I am not buying games for their GS and I am not obsessed with my Gamerscore - yet I have 26867 GS...
I do think they are a nice touch, really. It's like a permanent record of things I have done.

You know what a lot of people who write their gamertag and say feel free to add me.. and than when I add them, I get a message back like: "Who the hell are you? Do I know you??"
And than I cant even reply back to them because I dont have Gold Membership, I dont know what will I do with gold membership when I dont have Xbox and use only WP for my gaming...
That guy from Nokia release vedio from Sweden, with gamertag 'JiiKii', he in the starting of his Nokia phone presentation said 'Now you know my Live ID and you all can add me..' but I added him and he has not accepted me yet, one month now.. and I can even delete this request, its hang in their in 'pending' section..
And than someone with gamertag 'solaclipse' ... she wrote 'feel free to add me anytime' ... but when I did I got a message back 'who the hell are you?' and I cant reply back ...

Casual games still profitable?

Hi,
recently, after Flappy Bird was put off Google Play Store, there were a LOT of Flappy Bird clones published to Play Store. I'm wondering if these kind of easy casual games are still profitable, considering the amount of time it takes to create them and the money you gain from banners/interstitial ads. I guess most of the games just don't get enough attention because of the enormous mass of casual games nowadays.
Are there any developers out there who can make a living out of creating casual games? Or do bigger projects equal bigger money? Need to hear some experiences about that, still not sure which dimensions to choose for the my next couple of games.

I would recommend you head over to App Annie and read up a little bit. They can tell you what is trending and what markets to hit with your game. They have some very valuable market statistics to help you determine your goal.
As far as casual games go? Take a look at this article. I would venture to say you're still good for awhile.
Interesting link, thanks! Seems that casual games aren't that outworn - for now.
I'm a casual games dev and I make more than the average salary with them, so I think the opportunity is definitely still there. I also think it is pretty difficult, and some of my worse games are the best money makers, so I think luck plays a role as well.

Interesting that you should ask. They just released another article relating to the Advertising and Monetization of Apps. They draw some statistics from 2013-2014 regarding Advertisements in-app and on the web to show how lucrative mobile development can be. That's one way you can use the statistics to help market your game. Furthermore, they show what works and what doesn't.

Interesting read 'Worldwide App Annie Index for Games February 2015'
I read on a Unity flyer that Crossy Road generated $1million in two months from add revenue.
Think its testament to the fact that if its novel an original you just never know.

You're absolutely correct. You can really develop a one-off and not even know it's going to be successful. My advice is to keep making games to increase your knowledge of coding and some of those games where you may be just testing a physics engine or special concept might be the most fun.
I made some Game with > 1 millions users, and I earn only $100-$200 every month.
3 years ago, with less users I earned $1000 by month.
What kind of game did you make?
Sent from my 2013023 using XDA Free mobile app
It's not a binary question but more of a sliding scale. Casual games can be profitable, but to move towards the point where profit is more predictable and less of a coin toss, you really need an ecosystem of small, solid games rather than a few make-or-break titles. Apps by the same developer cross-promote to some extent, and a lot of other little things play into it.

6 questions you guys would be awesome to respond to

1.What phones do not require root to emulate nfc cards. -Curious if they exist
2.What's the difference between an an 100$ “human” ntag216 implant found on popular sites and 30$ for 10x animal raid ntag216 from China popular site is..? Considering high chances the “human” are also from China.
3.After successfully cracking an entrance card (nothing illegal, my own from my building door), knowing it's a HF Nfc with secret key, could I clone it into an implant and use my hand for access?
4. For beginners crackers (and again, not illegal stuff, I'm a 31 years engineer with a family and stable situation, learned how to lockpick locks just cause I thought was James Bond-ish and actually the skill helped me couple of times) who want to start learning, do I need a CHAMELEON MINI: REVE or a Proxmark 3 RDV2 is enough for sniffing, cracking, reading, emulating and also writing..?
5. If Proxmark is the way to go, should it be Easy, RDV2 or the upcoming Rdv 4.0?
6. What is the best nfc tag I could look into for an implant? Considering if I do this I have to have the best.. Or is something around the corner and should wait for it? Plus saw different prices (99-119-199$) for things that I'm not really sure in the difference if it's not clearly specified (ex. This is ntag213 and this one is ntag216..).
I know I have to read and learn a lot more but basic answers would educate me and shorten my road of learning so any input is highly appreciated, thank you.
Best regards

I ordered myself some 4 samples from a Chinese manufacturer, 2x ntag 213 and 2x ntag 216.
They cost me around 20$ altogether (shipping costs from China included) at this time, nowadays they are cheaper to obtain (eBay...).
I couldn't find any specs about for example the one from dangerous things, but at least the Chinese ones are / behave exactly like the corresponding data-sheets. Addresses and (lock-)bits are correct to the ISO standard.
6)
Ntag 213 has far less amount of rw memory -- 144 bytes vs 888 bytes in the 216.
My supplier claimed, the ntag 213 would provide a better range/readability compared to the 216.
However, I could not confirm or deny this.
Far more important was, which ROM I used and which phone. On some non-rooted stock phones, there was only the one or the other usable, funny enough very seldom both with the same setup.
However, given the price tag of a pack of ten, you can easily install several of them at no cost.
(Be aware, they normally ship without an injection device, so you have to do micro surgery or build your own or buy at least one animal tag with an injection tool. These normally ship with kHz Tags, the kind used in animals and door systems, a opposed to the MHz tags like ntag).
Amazon also sells lidocaine doses fit for injection at no great cost.
Sadly enough, nfc-unlock for your phone became less convenient with Android 5 as opposed to 4.4, and was completely removed by Google in Android Oreo. (Still can't believe they did this).
I highly suggest you join the vivo-key beta program, I am sure they'll be accepting your request.
This is the next step in implants, implementing things like secure id, two factor authentication.
