Charging problem - Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Questions & Answers

hey there,
I've had my phone for about 6 months now, 3 days ago this happened:
Everytime i connect it to charge, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Sometimes it charges for a second and disconnects for 15, and sometimes it charges for a few minutes before it disconnects.
I've tried many cables and adaptors, rebooting, shutting it down, fastboot mode, factory reset, cleaning the usb port, etc... nothing works.
any idea what the problem could be?

S3 stops charging after a few seconds

Hi All,
So I ran into some troubles with the power button and ripped it out of the socket and connected the contacts manually to power on the phone. Everything seemed to be working perfectly without the power button until I put the phone on charge.
The phone charges for a few seconds then stops charging. I can pull out and put in the charger again and it charges for another few seconds every time I do that. I tried multiple cables, chargers and wall sockets. I tried to charge it with the computer, no luck. Same story, only a few seconds of charge. I factory reset the phone but that did not help.
It doesn't matter if the phone is off or on when I connect it to the charger. It stops charging after a few seconds. This is weird since I would assume something was broken if it didn't charge at all, but it does charge for 4-5 seconds.
Any ideas how I can fix that?
Thanks.

Charging/Connecting Issue.

I have a weird issue going on with my LG G3 rooted device. I bought the phone about 2 weeks ago and rooted it same day, no issues. A couple days ago I was charging it in my car with a phone charger base that you plug into the car lighter. It was plugged in for about 20 seconds when I noticed it wasn't charging and then i started to smell a burning plastic smell. Turns out the charger base got fried.
Phone was working fine but later that day when i tried to charge it at home in the wall, stock charger, it wouldn't charge whatsoever. So i turned the phone off and tried again and it charged no issues. Now every time i charge my phone I either have to charge it when it's off or plug the charger in and reboot the phone and then it charges while on. I also can't get it to connect to my computer. I was just going to backup my files to my computer and hard reset to see if that fixed the issues but I can't seem to connect to the computer no matter what I do.
Any advice would be appreciated. Also do you think this is a hardware issue or some coincidental software issue. Thanks.

PC Will No Longer Detect Note 4. Gives Unknown Device/USB Device Not Recognized Error

Hello Everyone. Hopefully someone can help. I have searched and found people with some similar issues, however this one is stumping me good.
So a couple days ago the cable that came with my Note 4 crapped out. It shorted out and burned a small hole through the cable and now sparks if you try and use it. So it is no good. I tried using another old cable I had and the fast charging will not work. In fact the charging became so horribly slow I have to let it sit for hours to get even a partial charge. My battery life is horrible as well. Even when it fast charges I've noticed within the last few weeks that it just starts draining pretty quickly. Thinking it was just my phone being so cluttered with so many apps, data, etc.. I did a completely fresh install. Fully wiped everything internally and did a clean install of the PD1 deodex rom and nope still got some crappy battery life.
After using the older cable I tried to connect the phone to my PC transfer some files and got a USB Device Not Recognized error. So I tried another cable. Same thing. I tried 4 different cables, switched them to different USB ports. Nothing. I uninstalled the drivers through device manager as well as the Samsung USB Drivers. Rebooted, installed again, tried connecting again, nothing. I've tried other computers and even on a computer that has never had a phone connected to it I get nothing. After installing the Samsung USB Drivers I try to connect the phone and upon the phone trying to recognize and drivers trying to install it immediately errors and says Unknown Device Failed. I've tried to with both USB Debugging on and off. Trust me I think I've tried every which way. Uninstalling drivers in Device Manager as well. Rebooted into download mode with the cable connected, it doesn't recognize it. Tried the codes for the hidden menus and they don't come up. I hope someone knows something that I don't because I'm going crazy. My only other thought is to get a new official Samsung cable and see if it recognizes it that way.
Thanks for the help anyone!

:crying: I just got a new OEM charger and nope. Nadda. The battery even started going down at first when plugged in! Could it be the battery is the problem?
Did you try cleaning out the usb port on the phone. I've had pocket lint cause similar problems. If you've got some compressed air try blowing it out.
When the battery dies it usually just causes shortened battery life, sometime the phone dies at between 30 and 40 percent on the meter. Never seen a bad battery cause what you are describing.

Flashing "M" screen and only powers on when connected to the computer via USB

Flashing "M" screen and only powers on when connected to the computer via USB
Howdy...not new to the forums, but new to this forum as a member. I searched for this many times but never really found an answer that works for me.
So that being said...here we go...
I have a 360 1st Gen. I have the a usb cable (that I made) and have unlocked the boot loader, factory reset it, installed all the drivers, yada yada.
My issue is that when the 360 is connected to the USB cable (to my computer) it powers on and loads just fine and the watch is fully functional, even with my
iPhone, but as soon as I disconnect the USB cable it turns off. If I put it on the charger it just flashes the "M" screen and vibrates every 2 seconds. If I put it back on the
USB cable, it powers up and is fully functional again and everything is saved and reconnects to my phone. disconnect the USB, and power off instantly.
Any one know what the issue is? If so, can it be fixed with RootJunkies Super Tool?
Thanks
Someone has had to have this problem before...
I'm thinking it might be a battery connection problem. I guess I'll take the watch apart.
i can surely say ,this is battery problem..
open ur watch (take apart)
check ur battery connection
if needed u have to replace battery..
i had opened 360 , without battery and usb connected this is fully functional.. so just check ur battery

Have you solved the issue? I have exact same problem.
Yeah these are classic symptoms of a dead battery. You will need to replace it.
eBay usually has some of the official batteries on there, swapping requires a complete disassembly, some soldering and some fine work to put it all back together. Its about a 30 minute job if you know what you are doing.
