Fatory reset - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

Hello. My dumbass bought used A70 with samsung account. I can't make a factory reset, because it needs password from old owner account which i don't know. But I have my Google account on that phone and Google find my device enabled. Will I need to enter samsung account information when I make a reset via Google find my device? So when reset is made, phone will be locked only by FRP? And then when I login in my old Google account can i create a new Samsung account or do I need to login in existing that was on that phone first?

Does this help?

[Q] please sign in using one of the owner's accounts for this device

when i install a custom rom (viper one 4.2.1 or 4.3) i get the following error please sign in using one of the owner's accounts for this device. when i install the RUU for AT&T developer i can log in just fine with my account.
anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem?
Go back to your functioning rom and remove the google account (might want to do a backup first!). Then do the flashing etc and sign in with your account as a new device.
The problem is googles factory reset protection. Its designed to make the device useless if the phone is factory reset without being unlocked first.
The other way is factory reset from android settings, then flash, then sign in to your account as a new device.
Google needs to address the fact that frp is too strong and needs to add another way in to devices in the event of accidental lockout.

I am having the same problem more or less.
I have bought a Nexus 9 from another person.
I did a factory reset today and I cannot sign in now.
Will this solution work? How do I go to funcioning rom, etc?
This is a "Google" security feature... When you wipe a device and then set it back up, if you didn't delete the Google account first, it will ask for those "original" credentials. Only way around it is to completely RUU the device back to the latest stock image. But I've heard some devices still have issues since the SN or IEMI is associated with the previous users Google account.
So, if you buy a new device... ALWAYS make sure the previous owner deleted their Google account first, or have them there when you go through the first few setup screens to enter their credentials....Then after you enter your credentials, you can reset it.
Just kind of mirroring what shivadow said
OH no! I am having this problem with a newer device!! Please help! It has been about 22 hours since I tried booting a custom binary with a non-unlocked OEM lock! I'm waiting to try to sign in to my Google account until 24 hours passes! I might have to wait 72 hours! Please review the post [LINK=http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/s7-edge-canada-boot-to-twrp-t3509603]here[/LINK]...I don't know if I posted that right so cut and paste this if that link doesn't work:

When i got it, i used it once and twice and then put it. now after a year or two, i want to install lineage and use it again as secondary device. but the problem is i don't remember which gmail id i used(i had 7 ids) and don't even have a clue about some accounts ids and passwords which i (currently using only 2 ids) don't use. Unable to bypass factory reset protection even with the correct Google account

Hi, I bought a Nexus 5X for a friend a few weeks ago and got it updated to Nougat. I used my own Google account to setup the phone and install some apps. Then, I removed the device from my Google account, factory reset it, and gave it to friend. When he switched it on, it asked to enter the original owner’s Google username and password, so I gave mine. But after logging in without any error message, the phone displays the same screen over and over. Asking to enter the original owner’s Google username and password. We tried to wipe user data in recovery mode also. But the same issue occurs. Anyone knows how to fix this? Please help.

Did you change the password on your google account.
If so, there will be 72hr lockout on that account for activations.
If you try to early, it resets the 72hr counter.
@minnix wait the 72 hrs as advised or check online for a current bypass method or flash the TOT with the LG Up tool as if your phone were bricked.

One other thing, the best thing to do to avoid factory reset protection is remove account from device as opposed to what you wrote (remove device from account)

Factory reset without knowing the PIN or gmail

Hello there,
So I received this phone back from an employee without getting the pin.
I did a hard factory reset, but when I want to configure it again it asks for the pin or google account.
Since I didn't get the PIN from him/her and obviously can't login to the google account how do I go further?
It is not possible to contact the person since he/she doesn't work here anymore.
How do we know you didn't steal it? Lol.

No Access to Xiaomi Cloud Backup

I had a problem with the performance of my phone, so I made sure to back up whatever I wanted to back up in Xiaomi Cloud, and I did a factory reset to my phone, and I tried to log in to the Xiaomi account to access the cloud and get my data back, and it said that the account does not exist. I created a new account with my phone number, and contacted Xiaomi Global and I was given the instruction to click on Forgot Password and then Restore Security Info. I followed the steps, and I got a different Mi ID, which I thought that is related to the account I am trying to get. I logged into that account, and it has nothing in it. So I just linked my Google and Facebook accounts to it and synchronized what is available in my phone, and added personal details. I contacted Xiaomi again, telling them that there is nothing in that account, and I have given them my IMEI numbers because I know that these never change, and so that they may "hack" or connect to my phone and get the deep information in it to get the old Mi ID so that I can connect to my account and get my data back. I was told to go to a data center to unlock my phone. If they refer to bootloader unlock, I am already in the process of doing that and I want to root my phone so that I can get data from before the factory reset. Is there anything that I can be recommended to do?

Factory reset and google account

I am not completely aware of how the samsung knox security works, but my question is, if I forget my google account password, can I factory reset the phone and use a new account on the device?
Is the hardware paired to the account like on apple devices.
Delete Google and Samsung accounts.
Do a software hard reset as opposed to doing it off the boot menu.
If you get locked out it's a nightmare.
You can't delete Google account without the password.

You're suppose to have that...
In his first comment, Darklandscape said, "if I forget my google account password", so that was the question he was asking.
