I had not been able to get on with this issue before but now I can devote some time into it. Could you please tell me what the procedure to install a new ROM is? Besides, can I install any MCU which begins with MTCB or is there anything I need to be careful about.

All the answers are in the wiki in my signature - you can only use YZ MCUs and you can use any MTCB/C ROM that matches your screen res and processor type.

Were you able to enter developer mode and enable USB debugging?
I want to enter some adb commands but I can't connect via USB.

If anyone reading this was wondering how to do it:
Droped the pkg-file on a FAT32-formated USBstick, put it in the Service-USB. Unplug TV from wall, hold down the power-button on the back of the TV, then plug it back into the wall. Within seconds the message "Update starting" message came up. Let go of the power-button and let it work. Took aprox 30 min
Edit: This deleted all prior aps and settings
