Hi, I'm on PCT-L29 device, it has the march security patch 9.0.1.137, so, how can I update it?
Buying a USB C to USB adapter is not the thing, because it cost money. Can I update it through computer? The last version seems to be 9.1.0.170 with May security patch. Thank you :fingers-crossed: :highfive:

Latest is 9.0.1.138 not 9.1.0.170.
I've still only got the march update
I too haven't got any updates since march
PCT-L29 hasn't been approved for the latest firmware yet, 9.1.0.170 is only available for Chinese-region devices.
Latest is 9.1.0.142 for PCT-AL10

i'm still on March too. Honor have never been great at pushing updates, and it looks like that isn't going to improve. We'll be lucky to get one more.

This morning, December 2018 OTA update notification came on my phone (Slovakia, reteu, XT1676 DualSIM). I'll capture it and upload it to the GDrive as soon as I get home from school.
Running OPPS28.85-13-2, got OPPS28.85-13-4 update.

Here they mention that both OPPS28-85-13-4 and OPPS28-85-16-4 correspond to the builds with the December security patch, but the build marked which is OPQS28-85-13-4 to which corresponds?

I bet they have silently cancelled it, there was a beta project in my country, I was approved, but never received the ota, it is now gone from the beta app.
Pretty disappointed tbh, Huawei and Honor just lost yet another customer

But some recent news on internet are even confirming EMUI 9.1 for our device. How could they cancel 9.0 and confirm 9.1. Maybe they are upgrading the device directly to 9.1 that's why they removed the 9.0 Update from FUT

I did not say they would cancel the update altogether, just the beta project, which they obviously did.

There seem to be some updates for your model on Firmware Finder, if you're willing to tinker with it you can give HuRUpdater a try. Personally, I just wanted emui 9 to move to newer openkirin releases.

Yes there are but I don't have a spare phone these days to use as a daily driver if anything messes up so I am a little bit afraid to do a force update.

Which security patch did you have on EMUI 9.1? I'm looking to move to OmniRom and apparently the security patches from May onwards caused bootloops with OpenKirin images.

It came with the June security patch, I was not able to use OmniRom (bootloops as you said, adb starts tho not fully) but I actually tried RR for emui 9 and it worked

np, I got pretty worried when I got the bootloop, thinking that the update to emui 9.1 was somehow "incomplete".
Btw under RR the device is seen as "Kirin Treble" and not Honor 7X, but from what I can tell everything works fine. Do you also have the European model?

I can't connect via magic suite no matter what I do. File transfer on, USB debugging on, HDB on, restarted the pc after installing honor suite... I'm out of ideas. On My Honor app I can't find a way to do that, seems quite limited.

In the My Honor settings, change the regions, on one of them you will have a warranty and update buttons.

Changing to UK does show up a system update button, but that just goes to settings and says I'm up to date
