Warning/Advice to All Realme 3 Users/Developers - Oppo Realme 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi All,
So,this is the third time I have hard bricked my device. I am here to share you the mistakes I have done, which caused hard brick, so that you don't repeat it and get your phone hard bricked.
And also the things which you can do, and it will not cause any hard brick, So there is some development for our phone.
NOTE: NEVER FLASH OTHER PHONES RECOVERY OR BOOT IMAGE INTO THIS PHONE AND ALSO DON'T FLASH COMPILED KERNEL TO THIS PHONE AS THERE IS SOME PROBLEM IN KERNEL SOURCES
Things that causes hard brick:
1. My First Hard brick:
I flashed realme U1 patched magisk boot image ............................Hard bricked!
Possible Reason for Hard brick:
1. Because boot.img is of different device.
2. My Second Hard brick:
I flashed source compiled twrp which included source compiled kernel ..................................Hard bricked!
Possible Reason for Hard brick:
1. As I complied the kernel, maybe it had some issues
3. My Third Hard brick:
I flashed ported twrp from realme 3 stock recovery and used compiled kernel ................................ Hard bricked!
Possible Reason for Hard brick:
1. As I complied the kernel, maybe it had some issues
4. My fourth Hard brick.
I compiled the kernel from sources and flashed it and ......... hard bricked.
Possible reasons for hard brick:
Problem in compiled kernel
So How to recovery from Hard brick?
Oppo has the tool to flash the software back and make things working again, but the required files are not available on internet.
Just to let you know Miracle tool 2.82 does not work for realme 3.
For now you have to go to service center to flash back the software.
Things which does not cause Hard brick :
You can do these things, without fearing getting hard bricked
1. Flashing patched magisk boot.img of realme 3
It will just cause bootloop as Magisk does not support our phone yet. Just flash back the stock realme 3 boot.img and things will start working again
2. Flashing GSI or System.img
It will just cause bootloop , you can flash the ozip through stock recovery or stock system.img to get things working.
Please share your ideas, advice ,warnings, so that there is some development for this phone.

I don't have this G1-walphone phone. But I have MT6577 base phone released by Zyrex Vendor the name is OneScribe ZA985. Most of MT6577 phone using identic hardware. Did sameone can post here the scatter emmc file so I can check, probably I can safely flash this ROM to my phone. I believed Mediatek provide hardware and software source, thus vendor did not make any specific things in the phone. It will be more helpful if someone can post the partition layout of this phone ..... many thanks

well now if you have your backup then you can take a little risk and flash this rom if you want ..
What i will recomend is do a clockwork mod backup and then try to flash this rom without recovery.img .. in case any thing goes wrong then you will be able to restore the backup form cwm recovery ...

For Z5S Mini you need :

4) Install Gapps - gapps-jb-20130812-signed_2 .

There are pictures of this recovery in English, but you must find it in GOOGLE! Not only to wait someone to tell you. But because I'm a good person I will tell you - The "INSTALL FROM SD" is the SECOND option, and The WIPE/FACTORY resset is the THIRD OPTION.
First option is REBOOT DEVICE.
Good luck.

We hope. Anyway there is an available function on ZTE Z5S mini (the "Screen projection") which permits to send a
stream video to the monitor via WiFi (i don't know if the audio stream too and i don't know if the mirroring is available),
i think that it uses DLNA (more likely) or Miracast technology, but i'm not sure to 100%, can someone confirm it?
hello guys. i have the huawei honor 2 phone and im thinking of upgrading it to this or to nubia z5s but i got a few question.
does phone mini have goriila glass also like nubia z5s?
how is battery life?
how much screen time do you get at maximum with brightness on lowest?
can you replace battery?
does zte nubia z5s mini have slowmotion camera like in z5s here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLS4fwFLwNs
the only things i dont know why to take nubia z5s or z5s mini is
reasone to take z5s mini has micro sd card whitch is great + its cheaper + snapdragon 600 is fast enought to run anything that's in the playstore (am i wrong about this?)
reasone to take z5s regular is = better screen with less battery draining + bigger battery + faster cpu+infrared but higher price and sd card only 16gb
whats really importent is to know how is battery life ... thanks!
ZTE Nubia Z5 Mini -root, recovery, Play Store
Hello, I have had a chance to test Nubia Z5 Mini and I recorded a video on how to get root access, as well as install recovery and Play Store.

My review with camera test:
Fota
Hi,
I also have same problem now, and I have no idea how to go further from the chinese recovery. Are there some different ways to update the firmware? Fota remembers me often that I should update, and it's annoying... Someone help us, please!
Answer delay
I have smartphone zte z5s mini nubia with custom ROM miui 4.2.28.
Every time I slide the bar for answering an incoming call and I say "YES...", the caller can not hear my "Yes" and I can not hear him/her for the same short time, as well.We can hear each other after 3 seconds.
What should I do?
Thanks
i got this phone today but could not for the life of me get any recovery to work i updated the adb n everything but all i get is a black screen no lights nothing can anyone help me cos otherwise im gunna have to send it back
wifi issue, I need the files in /persist
I have a fully functional zte nubia z5s mini ( except from wifi and bt) rooted, english CWM, latest MIUI. Formatting /persist partition before installing MIUI caused the issue, there is a relevant thread explaining it all at bbs.nubia.cn/thread-112804-1-1.html (understood it using google translate).
To fix it I just need some files that were in that partition (nothing special, can be viewed with any root explorer) and get them back. Re-flashing any ROM wont do the job because that's the essence of the specific partition, to contain some files that wont be replaced by flashing a rom from recovery as I discovered by similar threads at xda for other phones.
The thing is that I cant download the files from nubia forum because to get the link I must register and registration does not work for me without any apparent reason.
Could someone make a copy of its own files ? There is nothing personal in there or phone specific / unique .. Net / BT drivers, and configuration files
As I said, nothing special needed, just copy all files / folders from /persist and make a zip .. I guess a backup from CWM would work also, never tired it (never needed to restore anything till now)
The issue is very annoying because apart from WiFi problem the phone is fully functional .. I know whats the problem, the files I need and the procedure (a simple copy) but after 3-4 days of searching have not been able to find the files ..
Could somebody please help by sending me its own files from /persist ?

Hi mrasnik0,
in this package there is the file "z5s_mini_Recovery.exe" that installs the CWM Revovery v6.0.4.5.
I would install a CyanogenMOD 11 KitKat on my Z5S mini but i need for a greater version of CWM recovery,
do you know if is available a CWM recovery version greater than 6.0.4.5 ?
...Update...
I would install the CyanoGenMod 11 4.4.2 version but to do this i
need TWRP Recovery first (because CWM Recovery can't flashes Android version 4.4.2),
can anyone tell me how can i do?
PS: i have downloaded TWRP Recovery (TWRP_kk_z5smini_v3_fix) through "tdbeta.cn" (i'm not able to link the thread) anyway
i follow the instruction but recovery mode is always set on CWM, i can't set TWRP as default recovery,
moreover ROM Manager doesn't detect TWRP Recovery but detects only CWM Recovery and Stock recovery
What i can do?
Thanks for answers
Matteo

- How to flash something with Odin?
(If not described differently, follow this)
- Make sure you've enough charge on your phone, min 40% is usually safe
- Put the .tar or .tar.md5 file into PDA or AP (it's the same, it's just different in Odin versions)
- Boot your device into download mode (press volume down + home + power at the boot process for around 20 seconds)
- Connect your device (Odin should say "Added")
- Click "start" (Do NOT disconnect your device or power off your computer in the flashing process, it could hardbrick your phone)
- Wait until your phone has fully rebooted
- Done (If you've trouble with booting into the system after a flash, do a factory reset in the recovery)
- More flashing information: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Flashing_Guide_-_Android
- My signal is bad etc. from the very beginning I have this phone, what can I do?
- Return to seller before Knoxing it up (don't flash anything and don't try to repair it on your own)
- Will the s4 mini forum get more users any day, also more roms etc.?
- Yes, I'm pretty sure, the device got intense price reduction since the S5 was released, so more people could afford it
- I don't like the keyboard of my AOSP rom, is there a better one?
- Look here this is the Xperia Z2 keyboard, it works for s4 mini (Flash the flashable .zip not the single file): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708805
- Can I flash Cyanogenmod with TWRP?
- It worked for me, even though the Cyanogenmod team doesn't recommend it

- No, It's stuck in a bootloop, but the lightning pixels are not to worry normally. You've to unbrick it.
- My device is heating up, do I have to worry?
- Mine does too, and I'm not worrieng
- How to enter to enter extra-developer settings (For example performance settings (set governor etc.)) in AOSP roms?
- Tap the build number in the phone information menu 7 times (It should say "now you're a developer") Then after that you'll find more menus in the settings
- How to easily access the hidden service menus?
- Download this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kabasoft.util.servicemodeshortcut&hl=de (In AOSP rom's probably only the "Test menu" works, because others are blocked)
- How to change CSC?
- Get this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&hl=de
- How to safe battery without loosing performance?
- Deactivate syncing services (Parts of Googles services etc.) which you don't need, or pick another governor and i/o.
- My battery doesn't work properly and I've my phone for more than 1 year, what can I do?
- Batteries don't have a long lifespan, your battery is most likely demaged. You can use this app to view what the system says to the battery health: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cpuid.cpu_z&hl=de

Search online for "repair firmware i9190" I think it was available, I'm not allowed to link it since it's for premium download only. Once you got the file, share it with us. I don't have it.

I am new to android and i have s4 mini i9190 which had stock rom 4.2.2 jelly bean.
four days ago i installed TWRP using odin but was so scared to install custom rom. Anyway i still made a back of everything(modem, EFS, Boot, System, Cache, Preload and Data). Two days ago i installed CM12.1 and i really liked it but the problem is camera. The pic captured while recording video is in low resolution compare to stock camera. so kind of slow too.
Can i go back to jelly bean using the restore without any problem?
and which restore option should i leave checked.
My knox is 0x1.
Can someone please help me go back to stock rom?
A question the system format is required to install the rom ??
Do anyone know when they stopped producing i9195 and i9195i ? I need to buy the latest version, because my i9195 was made in 2013 and have that battery drain issue even with new batteries...

Greetings @roberto_1986,
Your choice between A9 and A10 will summarize easily. Do you need one of the new features provided on A10 which was not present on A9 version? If you do not know or if you are not sure, then you dont need A10, stick to A9 for now. Less bugs, better performance and battery life. OS is more mature.
Now regarding rooting, on A9 Rom nothing as easy as pressing the root button under the LR TWRP (1104 version for A9 1210 for A10), then pressing the Closing AVB 2.0 button and you are done. From there you can update to latest stable version within the OS (do not use the beta ones, no point using those and it did not work for me). Works like a charm. I am on MIUI 11.0.2.0 (A9) EEA and never had any kind of issues using this method a few times. I never tried the A10 version of the LR TWRP so I have no idea if they offer the same option for rooting on A10 or not.
You can also unroot from that same LR TWRP in case that would be required at some point.
Hope this helps.

I am unsure if OFFICIAL TWRP 3.4.0 is meant for A10, I suggest you to read their its thread to see if people are using it on A10 or not. Personally I installed it yesterday on A9 and it saved my day restoring a backup made with some other UNOFFICIAL TWRP.
The UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP (chinese/english) which was released last year is the version which includes the rooting ability for A9 (and maybe for A10 too). OFFICIAL TWRP does not have such additional goodies since it is the OFFICIAL branch of TWRP.
You can check this guide using the UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP to root device, ALL steps you need to take to root your device properly are explained here. That's for A9, not A10.
[GUIDE][BEGONIA]Unlock Bootloader, Flash TWRP and Root[PROPER]
Note a quick search within forums would have probably leaded you there, try it next time, that's helpful feature of forums
As for the UNOFFICIAL LR TWRP (by wzsx150) thread for P and Q you can find it there:
[RECOVERY][begonia][UNOFFICIAL by wzsx150][P/Q]TWRP recovery for Redmi Note 8 Pro
Rooting A9 from the LR TWRP 1104 is guaranteed to work. That's what I used myself. As for A10 (Q) I have no idea, check/ask the thread.
Let us know how it turns out and you did to make it work.
Good Luck!

That's very wise not to install stuff you find from internet from unknown sources.
Not sure how you found that website, but I never heard of it or even seen it for the matter. I would not consider it safe myself.
I used to be able to download stuff from MiFirm which *looked* more legit but who knows.
You can find the required files from the xda threads I posted above, it may come from individuals, but I do consider it safer somehow because we have feedback from xda users. Back then when we installed those unofficial version there were not official support of any kind anyway so we kind of had to be 'advanturous'. I dont even remember from where I got mine myself.
Best I can do for you is to provide you with the checksums of the file I did use to root my A9 and reflashed not so long ago.
Code:
$ md5sum recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
e41bba28984f14ea56da98448cd2c17d *recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
$ sha256sum recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
8f203aec69f1ed021badac0f94d1906fcf0530f0e41beddcbc49652705c8731b *recovery-TWRP-3.3.1-1104-REDMI_NOTE8PRO-CN-wzsx150.img
This way whatever source you are getting the file from you'll be able to check it against my sums which will guarantee you got the same version I did use. However I cannot guarantee they are 'legit'.
Before you proceed any further, I want to stress you never told me the flavor of the phone you own. Mine is Global EU phone flavor running an original stock MIUI.11.0.2.0_A9_PGGEUXM. If own a Chinese flavor (ordered on Alibaba, Aliexpress etc etc) you need to be extra cautious for example as they tend to brick more from what I read.
I also remind you need an unlocked bootloader and I strongly recommend you to apply the Anti-Brick solution as described in my previous post. If you restored to stock image using MiFlash or SP Flash Tools it is very likely you need to reapply those even if you did it before. Best to apply them twice than none.
Hope this helps.

The Megathread is pretty much self explanatory for the Anti-Brick method, I cannot explain it any better than how it is explain there. Please refer to the link given in one of my previous posts and just apply the first part with flashing preloader.bin and lk.img as explained.
It will basically provide you with a safety belt in case you do anything wrong with your phone on A9 resulting in bricking the device, bootloop or whatever, so you can Flash stock back on using MiFlash / SP Flash Tool without having to need an authorized account.

This file might not be there, it is a file you have to delete to prevent OS to restore Mi Recovery 3 over your TWRP at reboot (making impossible to have TWRP stick on the phone).
In order to see that file you first need to mount 'system' in the options but as I said it is not always there.

As I said earlier, I have no experience in A10 (Q) problems as I am not willing to jump in there staying on A9 (P).
A10 benefits is not worth the risks to me. The Anti-brick method is well explained in the Megathread I posted the link few posts earlier, however, it's for A9 only not A10.
Looking at the lists of bugs still present on A10, I really see no point running A10 atm. But well anyone does what pleases him/her he he
Good Luck!

What is it useful for?

No actually it was the other way around. When I first rooted in Feb it was passing both tests (green true).
Then one day after google made its changes it stopped working. But I only retro-graming so it is not so important for me.
Have you tried MagiskHide for the games you want to play with?
I cannot really help you with this further because I never tried to fix these myself not really needing to.
Anyway if you search Redmi Note 8 Pro forums you will see some other people are having the issue, at first I thought it was a A10 problem but probably is with the device.
Also you may found help in the telegram group REDMI NOTE 8 PRO OFFICIAL many gamers there I think.
Good luck and please let us know of your findings.

Question Moto g60s root procedure

Hi, guys.
Does anybody know how to root moto g60s xt2133-1?
I mean, I looked for info on this forum but I cannot see any related topic about this device.
Or Am I missing something?.
I think it is all about g40 and g60 devices. I would like to know if somebody has rooted moto g60s and if any of you guys have the files needed to do such thing.
I 'd like to use a custom room like pixel or other just to give a try!.
Thanx in advance and have good day .

You can do it the way sd_shadow suggested. But I personally had no problems simply flashing the Magisk zip from a custom recovery. That should take care of the root, as well. That's about it.
So, in simple terms:
1. download Magisk.apk
2. rename it to Magisk.zip
3. flash it as a regular flashable zip from custom recovery
4. reboot.
Personally, I would not recommend rooting your phone unless you really need to. One of the main reasons for that is that banking apps and likely DRM apps won't work anymore. Yes, there are ways around that...but...if you don't need it, why make things complicated for no reason?

Hi, Do you have the same model?( Moto g60s xt2133-1 ).
I haven't done anything yet, I don't want to brick the cellphone.
To be honest i need root . I know that banking apps are not going to work and other apps related to payments.
I have rooted cellphones before but I need to be sure about the right files to do such thing.
Thanx bro. This comment helps me a lot.

Wait. No, this is not for g60s! This section is not for G60s. It's for G60 (xt2135-2). There is no custom recovery for g60s anyway.

, Hehe, that's what i m talking about, it looks like these models doesn't have some sort of support, what a sad story.
Those are the difficulties that I am struggling with.
Hope to see more info later o find a way to make a test..

I haven't done anything since i posted this due to lack of support and knowledge but as far as I know at least one guy has rooted his phone through the use of magisk. You can find him here at this forum, he posted something about upgrading android 12.

I´ve followed the next instructions in order to root my cellphone. motorola g60s xt2133-1. with android 12
then after bootloader unlock , go to lolinet and download the file that corresponds to your cellphone.
in my case:
lolinet mirrors - firmware, software, iso etc.
lolinet mirrors - powered by h5ai
mirrors.lolinet.com
I am using telcel service from Mexico so I choose RETAIL because I didn´t see amxmx (which corresponds to telcel) on the list.
I ´m using android 12 Compiled version : S3RLS32.114-25-1-3 (check about section in cellphone settings).
I downloaded this version.
LISBON_RETAIL_12_S3RLS32.114-25-3_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml
extracted boot.img
then i followed the next instructions.
and that´s all.

Hello.
Why did you want to root the phone?.
Can you modify some system settings with root? Specifically the speaker volume, since Android 12 basically broke it (it's insanely loud).
Have you looked into downgrading to Android 11?
Thanks .

Well, I am the same guy ("Daneka" but unfortunately I forgot my password), I rooted my phone in order to do Mac spoofing and It Is working very well.
About the speaker volume as far as I know there are some apps capable of managing your volume settings but they require root .
Hope this info helps you.
My personal opinion Android 11 ,I think, it Is More Stable than 12 .
