Hello,
I have my Nexus 5x since 2016 and I change the battery 3 months ago. Despite this, all days I have to charge the phone before the end of the day. In settings, I see that the screen is use approximatively 2 hours before shutting down. So that's not enough ! Do you have an idea about this issue ? I repeat that my battery is a new one...

It does not have to be battery related, it could be a software or hardware issue as well.
It is possible that some app keeps the phone awake.
One possible solution to that is to use an app ( I use GSam Battery Monitor Pro) to find out what is draining the battery.
If that does not give a clear answer then you could factory reset the phone and see if that improves the situation.
If that also doesn't help then you could have a hardware issue. It happens on some phones, I have a (spare) Nexus 5X here that also drains the battery while sitting idle.
I just use it for experiments and keep it on the charger all day
what SoT were u getting when u first changed the battery?
considering normal SoT time for n5x is around 3-4 hours, plus (im guessing) cheaper 3rd party battery, these numbers wouldnt surprise me.
also, we know nothing about what apps you have installed or what android you're using.
Hello,
I installed a new 2700 mAh battery like the original. I don't us many apps just have social medias, web browsing and youtube... I confirm : today shutting down at 5 PM, less than 2 hours of SoT

I'm not sure if it's specific to lineage os, but if you scroll down on the battery settings page, it may show the battery use % for each app at the bottom. If that's there, try using your device as normal for a day, then check that when it gets down to 5% or so and see what's eating all your battery.

Like many here I've been having battery drain issues since the day I purchased the Galaxy Nexus. I also purchased the extended battery since day one. I've been reading through every single forum on how to reduce the battery drain and none seems to have worked for me. I've tried switching to wifi, 3g only, no email push, no google+, etc and my phone at 100% battery would lose almost 30% within 2 hours idling. Then I was looking at the settings and I came across the Developer Options/Background process limit and limited my background process from Standard to At most limit to 1 process and my battery has improved tremendously. Prior to making the change the Android OS was using 80+ % on idle (Wifi or 3g didn't make a difference), now it's uses around 20 or less. On idle I'm seeing around 4% or less an hour vs 15% battery drain.
Please remember this may or may not solve YOUR battery drain, but it has definitely helped mine and I just wanted to share with the community on what else you can try.
I've had pretty good results with my battery. I think some of ya'll are either just playing around with it too much or have some energy-sucking apps out there.

Or that you don't have a connection to the data network.
Just say'n. (I do the same thing at night)
I had Wi-fi enabled for 12 hours, and the battery only dropped to around 85%. I have been on 4G for 5 hours now, and the battery is now down to 13%. I'm going to use a Wi-fi/3G combination tomorrow. Oh and I also have my phone rooted/underclocked to 900Mhz.

I've been using it for 3 days and have had no issues. Anyways its as easy as checking the standard limit if you ever wanted to revert back.
Found this, what do you guys think? trust worthy? waste of money? great deal? faked reviews? not sure. opinions please

I just bought one of these. Been using it since Monday. Not sure about it yet, still bedding it in. Today is my first usage after a full discharge cycle.
Yesterday I discharged the battery as fast as possible by running stability test and I still managed to get 5 hours screen time.
Will update at the end of this cycle.

Please keep me up to date with how your usage goes. would mean a lot. very curious about this battery.
Ok still not sure about this yet. I've now done 2 full discharge cycles by draining the battery as fast as possible. I ran stabilitytest again last night and ended up with 5.5 hours screen time with 14 hours off charger. Charged it overnight and bump charged it a few times.
Today I'm going to see how it fares with normal use. Not very impressed so far though as I'm at 83% battery with 49 minutes screen time and 5 hours off charger. Light usage today with a few hours of music through wired headphones. Maybe the battery % isn't calibrated properly and it'll drop slower as it approaches midline, who knows.
Will keep updating.
I know someone with it and he said it barely lasts 20% longer than standard battery, so guess that means around 2500mah
Conclusion after 6 days and 5 cycles is that I'm getting about 25% more than stock. Not great but I got it for a tenner inc delivery so can't complain.
Shame we can't get the hyperions in the UK. Would love to get my hands on one of those.
Actually starting to like this battery. Getting decent results now.

While we have VOOC and (some of us) a spare battery lying around, we could all use more battery life when we're away from a wall outlet. So..
Post your battery stats/power consumption details along with any steps you took to achieve it.

Here's my battery results after a full day's use.
Stock Oppo Color OS
Stock Kernel
Google Now OFF
Low Manual Brightness
Bluetooth On
GPS On
Keylights Always OFF
Vibrate on Touch OFF
Greenify: NONE
Snapdragon Battery Guru: LEARNING
[There is a very small part where the battery charged while attached to a computer due to syncing over a few songs. I only seem to recall that battery going up by 1% at this time]
Anyone have any suggestions?
After installing snapdragon battery Guru i mentioned verry low speaker audio during phone Calls. uninstalling fixed the behavior.
anyone else.
?
Sent from my X9006 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That was with about 3 hours of gps on and using Google maps and a route planner for my deliveries today. I don't know if that's good as I've yet to use it like this before.
I have all off screen and on screen gestures turned off except the 3 fingers for screen shot. Auto brightness and wifi was off today as well.
The other day I let my phone idle for 9ish hours while I slept and I lost 4%, that was also putting the cell data to edge though.
I also use the greenify app, not the built in greenify. Haven't messed with the built in greenify does it work the same way?
Tapped out on my beastly OPPO Find 7a
This has got to be a bug...
Unplugged, drove to work and noticed no drain on the monitor.
The phone was trickle charged by my router though overnight, not through the OEM charger
I disabled the gestures, that helped a lot.

from 50 to 100 takes 20 minuttes.
Sorry folks, but there is already a thread for this here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2750001
Hi guys
I've had my HTC 10 for over 2 weeks now, and as I decided to change from iOS to Android the first few days/week the battery would only last me barely 14 hours.
However, the last few days were very impressive with the phone lasting me 2 days and 12 hours with normal usage (no games and not heavy internet browsing).
But today something weird happened as I took the phone in the morning to go to work and at 10:30/11:00 my phone was down to about 60% without me doing anything to it and without a specific reason to it.
I will attach some screenshots to see if anyone had the same problem/issue.
I would appreciate any feedback you may have!

Did you try to restart the phone? Something is keeping your phone awake. A restart every couple of days is always helpful.
Yes, I did.
However, the phone's battery still only lasted until 7 pm. Which is really weird as I literally almost didn't use it...
Will see how it goes today
My battery life did not last very well either when K first got my 10. I'm an HTC lover by the way. In my experience, I've learned you really need to optimize the controls and settings after you purchase the phone to get the most out of your battery. I restrict a lot of app permissions that ask for location so my phone isn't constantly locating itself on GPS. Same for Wi-Fi. I turned off the auto scan for the Wi-Fi cause that absolutely toasts your battery. And then I turn off vibration feedback for touching keys just to conserve even more. I moderately use my phone throughout the day checking mail, texting, browsing the web, facebook, xda, altos adventures, a YouTube video here and there. I get to my office at 4 in the morning, don't get home til 3 pm and my phone still has anywhere from 45 - 60% charge. I think that's great considering my M8 normally has 15 - 20% when I would get home. Just tinker with the controls for a bit. Maybe I'm wrong but this is what worked for me
Yes, I understand and I have done so by restricting must apps and by having the same constant brightness and normally (as it happens today) the phone after 12 hours still has 50% battery. But it was that episode that literally was eating away the battery without me using the phone at all!
Thanks for the replies so far
Good day, just got a refurbished from Amazon and getting lousy 2 hr of SOT, I decided to replace it myself a week ago. Now my SOT is around 4 hr.
Now for my question, is this the normal SOT for Pixel XL OG? What are you guys getting with new battery?
I can go beyond 4 hours SOT on a full charge over a full day of 17 hours on a freshly replaced battery with my OG 5", the XL could reach 6 IMHO.
It all depends on your usage and those silent internal updates being pushed to your device which keeps changing a device's output oftentimes. Just few weeks ago I was getting 5-6 hours of SoT normally on my marlin (3 month old phone), hit 7 hours few times, but last few days barely reaching 5 hours! Usage obviously has not changed for me. 4.5-5 hours SoT now. From 90-10%.
i get 3 hours, android 9 august patch
Thank you everyone this is Interesting. I can't seems to get pass 4 hours no matter how hard I try. Stuff I've tried: Factory reset, battery saver, no FB, no games. Guess my new battery is busted.
Does this mean my battery is dying already? Stats don't look good at all

I bought my Pixel XL used about 18 months I'm so I have no idea how it was used by the first owner. I'm not a heavy user, mostly texts, calls, and web surfing. No games and only occasional YouTube videos. I can usually go 2-2 1/2 days between charges and rarely let it get below 40%. My battery health shows 93% and Accubattery says 3:41 for estimated SOT.
I was getting around 4h sot with my pixel XL. Accubattery shows 96% health on it. My OnePlus 5 I'm using now gets closer to 5-6 hours with health showing 90%.
Both phones can go several hours longer if used for reading a book on a black background, or just heavy browsing or YouTube videos indoors where screen brightness is low.

79% isn't that good for a newly bought phone. That's what users expect after using the device for like 18-24 months or something.
My first one was down to 83% after almost 2 years of use. I hadn't really noticed a decrease in battery life so I assumed software updates had actually improved it offsetting the battery wear.
