Okay.Now that it's been on the boot screen for 15 minutes..... the notifications bar came up.... it is bloody. But the rest of the screen is black. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I might have screwed it up.... but if not just a heads up if it's something you can fix.
Looks like a badass theme if it would work properly. I even have the Halloween theme as my ringtone. Haha

I wiped my phone then it worked hmm...i could take a look. Looks good keep working and adding blood.

Can you build version 2 to be compatible with JFv1.41? Decisions, decisions... Auto rotate and multi-touch browser, or a sweet sweet display.
I'm going to try my hand at doing it myself, and if I get a workable version I'll upload my zip file.
I went with the below for my wallpaper but cropped it to exclude the Zombie Girl text. Her right cheek just lines up with the right side of the center screen. If I get the 1.41 build going I'll crop it and throw it in the wallpaper section.
I did a quick hack job and here is a version of the theme with the browser updated to match JFv1.41. I left all the other APK's as they were in the original theme release.
I flashed this to my phone and it's working for me. Use caution because I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and this is my first time doing anything theme related. I take no responsibility for what this files does to anyone's phone. RC30 only.
Here's what happened just in case it helps anyone in the future. When I originally added this theme to 1.41 the browser multitouch and autorotate disappeared as they should have. I created an update.zip with the new multitouch but left the browser.odex. When I applied the theme, it replaced the browser but the features still didn't work. So, I re-applied JFv1.41 to start with a clean slate. Then, I made the update.zip that I'm posting, which removed the browser.odex. I'm not sure if starting from a clean slate fixed it, or if removing browser.odex fixed it.

I'll try to update the rest tonight or in the next day or two. Are you still working on this theme Randum Access? I'm confused by the differences between the thread title and your last post. this is still a work in progress as i am looking to create a few more system icons and the launcher tab on the homescreen. i will be updating this semi regularly(school and work have both kicked up a notch recently so i will be on a little less frequently) main thing i am looking for is a good picture of sylar taking someone's head off. if you have a good pic of someone who got scalped by sylar(preferably with the head removed but i could work with almost anything) i found several pics but i don't like them since his hand is in the pic. if you have any suggestions or anything you would like to say about this theme then by all means let me know i am up for trying anything. i am still working on getting my eclipse up and running, some errors are keeping me from being able to edit .9.png images. as well as hex edits might be attempted later.

Could use a bit of polishing/etc. And change the pull tab of Claire's cut head. Looks ugly and doesn't fit well. And I assume there are 2 of them from dxTop? If so, you should use the default home to showcase themes. Unless this is a dxTop only theme. If so, please state that.

i know the tab looks bad right now, but it's actually really hard to find adecent pic of sylar scalping someone. i meant to use the default home screen for the pics so i will re upload them later when i get to my computer and have a different home screen screenshot. if you have an idea of something to try for the app tab then please let me know, i am up for any and all improvements.
Love the theme and will not be switching to anything else in the near future. Would love to see some more of your work. A+++

this was posted a while ago and i figured since i got almost no response about it, and only a half dozen downloads that it wasn't worth fixing up more or porting it. i will download my own theme sometime soon and see what i can do. i was working on a dude theme containing black and blue(i prefer dark themes) but the 1.1 got released with manup's black and blue theme so i might start over. i have no big ideas on a theme yet, just a few minor tweaks for some personal use not to be released

i will probably port to dude version and JF haykuro users sorry but i have no intention of porting it to those builds. i do not know when i will be porting but probably to the dude build soon since i am missing my theme a lot

I've spend some time searching for a modded apk, but I've been unable to find one. From what I've read it's possible to do. (h**p://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-themes/42629-how-invert-colors-gmail-apk-message-display-screen-3.html)
I just think it will be much more easy on the eyes and battery life with a nice black screen like the default email app.

If I had any clue how to edit the XMLs I'd offer to assist.
I guess some of these xmls weren't supposed to be touched. First attempt and I have no Epic for the time being. I'm doing what I can on the phone itself to avoid Odin, but that's next. I have to try another route that is showing promise. It might require a theme to work though because one way is to edit the colors in the framework that is inherited by Gmail. Once I'm back up and running I can see where I can push this.
Back up one nandroid was corrupt, the older one worked. Now I can see where I went wrong, don't expect any results tonight lol.
Here's where my two errors happened. I deleted gmail.apk with root explorer, phone did not like that. Bootlooped. I restored the nandroid backup that was corrupt. It didn't work fc everything once booted so I did a factory data reset. That fixed it to boot and run. Next I applied the modified gmail with an update zip. This crashed the phone worse. I am back up to where I was earlier today, I'm going to try a different signing method as well as making it's own update zip. If that doesn't work, the xmls won't allow me to edit so it will be up to me changing colors in the android framework.

Well, that's the question. I'm gathering some credits trough Google Rewards and i'm pretty interested in buying the Substratum extension made for Android Oreo. But first i want to know if someone has tried the app in this phone to avoid some useless purchase. Something that i miss from my old Moto X Style is the customization. I could root this thing to do it without any plugin but so far i'm not interested in rooting and all that.

I didn't find any replacements..
I think if You dont wanna root Your phone You should buy Andromeda rootless backend - support devs, because it works.
I'm currenly using the Andromeda... It does work but with some errors n doesn't work well with all themes...

I have been using it on 0.8 Verizon edition with no probs, sais oreo theme is a pretty good dark theme.
I am using it. Everything was working until the most recent security update for oreo. Although it may have been me updating my theme, which i did after the security update.
I can't stand all the ads on this phone. Ugh.
I use it with stock Oreo 8.0.0. No issues.
Black theme (forgot the name but it is the most popular one) is nice for the notification bar and settings menu.

Its working fine, I'm experiencing no lags.
Black looks beautiful and being AMOLED saves battery also.
Notification issue
The Default Dark Theme works except for some notifications that keep having dark text on dark background (see first notification on the attached image). Is there any way to fix that? My device is not rooted.

I am currently using a pitch black theme that is called Sai's Oreo Theme: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=baka.sai.oreo&hl=en
I`ve been using Default Dark from F-Droid. Basically switches the Phones/Contacts/Settings/QSettings etc to dark.
The app has one annoyance to it cause you got to connect the phone to the pc if you want to use substratum.
The good stuff is that applied theme survives reboot, so it`s not so bad in the end.

Please understand im not a themer but I like tweaking this beast so...
Ive worked painstakingly on this for months. I mean months. For those who know theme galaxy is fabulous. But getting it down packed digging deep into the features to get your s**t the way you want it . Wow. Many hair pulling episodes and sleepless nights. Fellow tweakers understand. But id work with it for days... weeks.. then give up... wait a couple of weeks.. months maybe. But I didn't delete the app. It was just there in the back of my mind. Literally lol. Like id think of how to tame it. Take courage and try again. Everytime I thought I had it... some menu id forgotten.... or some other crap would pop up. At first id leave it. In some cases it was just a minor defect in only a few areas. Like not being able to see text or icons. But that too bugged me to be figured out.
This is what I came up with. I may be open to answering questions in between the busy schedule... or maybe you tweak it and take it further or different. Up to you. Btw you MUST have theme galaxy on your phone. I donated but don't know how this will come out on the phones of those who haven't.

I have spent endless hours with themegalaxy myself. You did a great job. Swift Black with Substratum since the Oreo update is really hard to beat though. Not nearly as much time and since I don't have to do the computer thing anymore it's gravy.

They have added a bunch of Samsung related overlays, and continue to dial it in a couple times a week. I hear you on the tinkering. I built free and premium themes for the Note 4 til I finally upgraded. Now everything is so locked tight that it just isn't even worth messing with. Some days I'm tempted to sell my Note 8 just to get out from under the payments and go back to my S7 Edge as soon as the Oreo update hits.

Updated it some. Worked some text visibility issues out. Changed some colors around so the accent and main color is more graphite than grey. Think it's as close to perfect as it's going to get unless I notice issues.

Could anyone that's tried these tell me if they showed all system areas properly? When I first created each I shared the apks to my wife's s9 and they worked fine with just minor imperfections ... but when I lost my files I just downloaded these and they look totally wonky now.
How can it be uninstalled?

I tried downloading ThemeGalaxy and can't get any themes to load. All I get is an error so I went back to Swift Black Substratum.

I think you'd need the project file from themegalaxy of let's say one of my themes and compile it/save it using the app on your own phone for it to work properly. Using the APks I've created I notice its hit or miss with installation .
Download link for project file of my latest dark ui theme. Import this into theme galaxy then build/ install into samsung themes. I used just regular black wallpaper... and tha black icon pack found in Google play. Don't know if the project file includes these so just in case.

I actually just bought the OnePlus 6T so right now I can't theme at all.
This is the thing that I concocted. I might be available to addressing inquiries in the middle of the bustling calendar... or on the other hand perhaps you change it and take it further or unique. Up to you. Btw you MUST have subject cosmic system on your telephone. I gave however don't have the foggiest idea how this will turn out on the telephones of the individuals who haven't.
