Variation of Moto Z2 Force for US Telco or countries
(Verizon) XT1789-01
(US Cellular) XT1789-02
(Sprint) XT1789-03
(AT&T/T-Mobile) XT1789-04
(Outside US) XT1789-05
(For Brazil) XT1789-07
Maybe this thread can be helpful for some...
Which are the models which the bootloader can be unlocked and use globally (outside of US)?
Please add EU unbranded XT1789-06
(I think this is the "real" Outside US, while XT1789-05 should be Chinese version, as it was on Griffin...)

Generally by Default Verizon Devices are Global, and in this case fot the XT-1789-01 You can place another carriers sim in the device and it will just work (as long as the bands are supported)
Historically, US Cellular phones have been able to run on Verizon LTE bands and have had their bootloader be unlock able. Can anyone confirm?

Verizon are global unlocked but not able to accept unbranded rom so not really global.
XT1789-06, uk edition, retus, single sim
i was just at Verizon, the OEM unlockiny tool is there on the z2 force . So Unlocking bootloader is perhaps possible.

Verizon and AT&T models are blocked on Motorola/Lenovo's unlock site by the unique identifier. Some parts of it that get decoded from the key your phone spits out has info for Moto to know which exact device is requesting the unlock code.

If you owned an exclusivity device, aka the Droid series, of course you couldn't unlock the bootloader from Motorola site itself. you had to use s-off. I do not know if they updated their builld to support 2017 phones

Sunshine s-off works?
I have a ATT S9, and since the hardware across the carriers are the same, will flashing my att phone to that of Tmobile or unlocked firmware unlock band 71? Thanks.
IT shoudl be enabled when you insdert the tmo sim
Thank you. I just flashed the unlocked firmware and can confirmed that band 71 was activated for tmobile.
Hello, I have a Galaxy SM-G960UZKAVZW, The Verizon model, and it is unlocked. I use this phone GSM in Peru, but It noticed that I can not switch freely between 4G and 3G like I could in a S8 Tmobile model.
So I have to Flash other firmware, if it is possible, I don't want any carrier logo so I need to know what firmware I have to choose. I looked into Sammobile for G960U and found:
Spint (cdma) (SPR)
USA (TMK) MetroPCS
USA (USC) US Cellular
USA (T-Mobile) (TMB)
USA (Verizon) (VZW)
Unknown (BST) Bosst Mobile
Unknown (CCT)
Unknown (XAS) Sprint XAS
Virgin Mobile USA (VMU)
What firmware I have to choose, or I need to choose a G960U1?
Then, I have to do wipes?
Thanks.
Use the one for the SM-G930U1 with CSC code XAA and flash with the modified odin found here on the forums
Sorry newbie here.
Do all US s20 variants (Verizon, ATT, Sprint, Tmobile) the same hardware to access all cellular bands if the correct firmware is installed?
For example.... If I had a ATT s20 and flashed the firmware to Sprint would I be able to access all of the bands required for Sprint like CDMA?
Thanks!
Has anyone successfully tried to convert Verizon edge+ 5g uw (XR2201-R4) to the fully unlocked US Motorola retail version (XR2201-R3)? I found the rom for the US retail version but I'm not sure if flashing that build will brick the phone or if I'll even get access to more cellular bands in the process. I saw forms converting the cn x30 version to global but I'm not sure if it would be possible for the Verizon US variant. I'm trying to also convert the rtos firmware to unlock more cell bands
i have the same phone, and it reminds me of the Lg V30. You had to convert that phone to the US 998 version. But i waited a long time until people smarter than me had figured it out.
