This guide was designed for S10 series, but the majority of the Guide of course is applicable to all android Pie devices as if based on apks and adb debugging, you shall test at your own desire. For adb debugging to be enabled, go to: About Phone > built number > tap until you unlock "developers option" go back and and inside "developers options" enable "adb debugging" from there.
First and foremost, I would like to express how I am amazed with the level of customization you can do without root on a Samsung nowadays, as I've been an android/samsung user for quite some time its really something to consider.
Okay, now lets cut the chase. What I really did is to put together different applications, tips and miscellaneous information together in order to achieve what I felt the most customized Device possible without root and that I think lots of users could still absorve all or at least part of this guide in their own devices.
1) First, what I did what to go through the Battery Optimisation Guide by @Corv0, which honestly speaking led me to an average of 9-10 SoT.
1.1 Even though people talk alot how they liked OneUI I cant change from Nova Launcher, its simply the ultimate Launcher experience. I recommend getting the prime version, totally worth it and you get it for life.
1.2. If you are used to Adway, you know we can't live anymore without it, but in times without root, Blokada is for me the best alternative. I also found it better and more stable than Adhell and does not need key update every now and then, thats lame!
2)If you like music and once used Ressurection Remix roms, you must have fallen in love with Pulse music bar. It simply reinvigorates the navigation bar. As an alternative I must suggest the well known Navbar app. For me its a must to change navigation bar color and enable their music visualizer.
3) If you once used xposed in a samsung, you might remember the Samtweak, and now you can have it in Pie without the need of root with great function like 180 degrees reverse (which I find very useful when using headphone jack so it does not bother you against the chest for instance), volume warning, navigation and status bar hide, etc
4) Another must in S10 plus is to use Button Mapper. Some may talk about Bixby Action app, but Button mapper is the ultimate deal with many more options, check video link.
5) Okay this is more of a personal preference, which is my case I can say: sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. If you didn't like/ didn't get used to the front camera cutout I strongly suggest to use Status Bar and change status background color to black. I find it do the job of hiding the front camera pretty decent and improved a lot indoor and low light experience as you cant see the cutout almost never.
6) Last (so far) but not least important, if of course the installation and usage of Nice Lock (for the ones without access to Good Lock). I think we may can it as an official customization app for samsung devices. It almost made me remember Rice tweaks app. I personally like to use 7.1) Task Changer mod to change recent apps back to vertical. 7.2) Navistar to fully customize the navigation bar with different icons and 2 more buttons. The rest I didn't really use it but I suggest you install them all and see what's useful to you.
I will record a video and post it here (probably tomorrow) to show all these changes and tweaks I did and how they actually appear on my device.
------- v2 (April 26th):
Actually these are "tweaks" I had already done before v1 but simply forgot to mention on the original post however to keep things in order I will continue the numbering:
7) Bloatware removal, this is another must you have to do, specially when talking about samsung, with is known for the amount of apps its included from stock. And within this link you can easily do it through adb shell. Big thanks to @Neo3D for this amazing guide.
7.1) Once you "debloat" your device, make sure you deinstall/deactivate youtube standard version as well, and install the well known and amazing Youtube Vanced (Non Root version of course). In addition, set it as standard so it will be fully integrated to the links.
Well those are my suggestions for the customization of s10 without root (so far). If you have more tips please comment down below.
Video is up, check comment for exact cue by "tweak": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_giH6O6-Pdo
Great guide for the S10 XDA gang! Kudos
Nice guide.

Doesn't bloat removal cause more battery drain? I mean when the phone tries to find a certain package and cannot it is starting to heat up and etc
I started out early in the process and I was able to get Adhell running .... Seems like maybe my battery was worse after Adhell. Wondering if you guys thought, based on this guide, I should get rid of Adhell and go more this direction (for ad blocking and app/bloatware freezing) ?

I tried both and found blokada much more stable. You can try and compare yourself, its way easier to install and get it running as well.
Also, using Blokada and it works well...
Knox bloatware removal
if the s10+ com.samsung.android.knox.containercore isn't installed at 0 then how can I remove the number one bloatware I so desired to remove?

I've always been a lover of Android in the regards of how customizable it is. I've released a few custom roms in my time, mostly for the Galaxy S5 since the battery life on it was kind of honestly terrible when it came out. My roms were all based on Android 4.4.2 as 5.0 just seemed to kill a lot of my battery saving techniques. I figured I'd make a small post about my favorite ways to save on battery.
By the way, sorry if this is an incorrect section. Feel free to move it if needed. Been awhile since I've been on here...
Simple Methods
These methods don't take any special 3rd party app installs or file tweaks. These are simple adjustments you can make in your Settings application right on your device!
If you aren't using your GPS/Bluetooth/Wifi, Turn it off!
A lot of people just leave these things running constantly even when they aren't needed. I look at my fathers S3 and always cry a little inside because EVERYTHING is turned on. The reason its bad to leave these on even when not being used is because Wifi and GPS scan for a connection/location every 180 seconds (depending on phone model). This KILLS battery life so much. It takes a lot to power that little gps, and honestly even more to power that scan for Wifi to connect to. If you're feeling gutsy, you can even turn off your Data connection, but you'll still get text messages and such. Just can't browse facebook.
Haptic Feedback
You know, when you touch your screen and it vibrates. Doesn't seem like much but think about how much you use your phone. How many text messages are you typing? Facebook posts? Twitter posts? Your phone is basically constantly vibrating as you tap tap tap away at that little virtual on screen keyboard. Can we go back to hardware keyboards please?
Screen Wallpaper
This is a biggy, especially on high end phones. That HD screen takes a lot of power, but most of these screens on our phones like the Nexus, Galaxy, and high end LG's all have high end AMOLED screens. These screens work in a really cool way honestly. The darker the color on your screen being displayed, the less power the screen needs to actually show that color. White takes the most power, so if you have a brightly colored wallpaper and are wondering why your phone is dying quickly, this is definitely contributing. I always personally use a textured black background. 100% black (#000000 for you nerds out there) uses literally no power to display. The pixels actually turn off to display that color. The more 100% black in your background, the less battery power you use to display that background.
Screen Timeout Timer
Not using your phone? Turn off the screen. That easy. My timer is set to 30 seconds. I don't have a pass code on my phone because frankly, I don't care if someone gets into it. There's nothing weird on my phone that I know of. This is just one of those simple things that generally slip the mind of some people.
Fancy Features
Do you really need Multi-Window or that fancy Toolbox setting turned on? Just use your multi-tasking and switch back and forth. I use multi-window rarely. It feels like a gimmick to me personally.
Themes and Design
This harbors back to what I said about the whole "the darker the better" above with wallpapers. Using Material Design on your Android 4.4 or 5.0 will save on life because the colors are darker over all for almost everything. Anything white is going to use more power... Sound familiar? Alright, racist jokes aside, this is the truth. More power to display brighter colors. If you have the option, change the theme. A lot of apps have a built in theme changer. Things like Custom Launchers, GO SMS, Textra and many more have the customize ability to set those bright colors at bay.
Multi-Tasking, can you live without it?
This is a BIG saver on your battery, but also one you might realize you really might want to skip. I do a lot with my multi-tasking. Switching from Mobile Chrome to Text messages to a game I'm playing, this can take its toll. Turning off Multi-Tasking entirely isn't exactly the easiest to do either. You need to enable your Developer Settings on your device. If you're curious, go into your Settings App, open About Phone/Device, and tap repeatedly on Build Number. This should unlock Developer Settings. Once in there, you can scroll through and you'll find something with a name like "Limit Background Processes." If you tap on that, you'll be able to control just how many background apps can be running at a time before it starts auto-closing apps. I believe standard limit is fairly high, so setting it to 2 or 3 should help on battery usage.
Installed Apps
This is a big one. There's a lot of apps out there that when using them, or even NOT using them, they eat your battery, RAM, and processing power, alive. They just kill it. The Facebook's apps, Messenger and Facebook itself, were rated in the Top 5 for worst battery hogging apps of 2012, 2013, 2014 AND 2015. Delete those 2 apps and simply use your web browser to login to your facebook. Also, Mobile Chrome is a huge battery hog. Switching web browsers can help a lot. You can see which apps are using the most battery in your Settings by looking at the "Battery" section in your Settings app. Also, don't fall for the "Battery Saver" apps. They use more battery than they're worth and often just "emulate" some of the things I listed here that you can do yourself.
That's really about it for what you can do on a non-rooted devices without 3rd party apps. In the next section, I'll go over a lot more options with Root options and 3rd party apps.
Rooted options and 3rd Party Apps
This is the section that you'll want a little experience with. Backing up your phone entirely before continuing may be a smart option. Check XDA for the easiest way to back up your device before continuing.
Are you rooted? Kill that Bloatware!
A HUGE plus in Rooting is the fact you can remove a lot of the crap-ware that companies like Samsung, Verizon, AT&T, LG and many more of the cell phone companies out there install on your device. Not sure what you can delete? Look for things with something like "Samsung" in its app name. Or, you can go on the Play Store and grab an app called Root App Deleter. This is what I use. It has a nice Junior mode, for those who are new to this, and a Pro mode, for those experienced users. This will help you identify what you can and can't delete.
Type of root You have
There's always some sort of exploit to get root opportunity on a device, but what a lot of people don't know is that most of the Root exploits out there are called "live root" exploits. What is a "Live Root?" Well, that means the process of needing root is constantly being ran and controlled in the background while you may not even realize it. Running a Live Root will usually make your device run hot and slower. A big complaint of a lot of Rooters. Within the last few years, root exploits have gotten better, and there aren't as many Live Root exploits left, but for some devices, its the only way. To know if you have a Live Root, simply check your settings and see if your Android System is using a lot of battery power. That'll tell you. The best and I'm pretty sure only non-Live Root exploit out at the moment is KingRoot and TowelRoot. TowelRoot I trust more than KingRoot because KingRoot was made to attempt to work with ALL devices, where as TowelRoot was mainly focused on 1 specific Kernel version and Android version. Thank you GeoHot for TowelRoot. What a LIVE Saver.... get it? ... I'll see myself out.
Custom Roms
A lot of Custom Rom dev's out there focus on MORE instead of less, and those are the roms I usually steer clear of. These "more" options use a lot of battery power, even though they usually claim it uses less. The best Roms to install, in my opinion, are the ones that don't have many "new" features applied. Build.prop edits are alright, things like init.d support don't hurt anything, that usually helps honestly. The simple Debloated Dex'd Base roms are the best. You can always customize it later. A great example of a good base rom that gets good battery life is one I released a long time ago when the S5 was released. I'll leave the link below to XDA. The project is dead, but I may revive it
XDA BoxxiRoms v2.0.2
I'm in no way bashing custom rom development. New features are always awesome to have. They're cool, they bring new life to an old device.
PixelBatterySaver...
This is the ONLY app I trust to SAVE battery life because I've proven myself how well it works. While I said above that Apps don't work and use "more power than they're worth," this is the exception. This app, when activated, leaves a black mesh over your screen. and turns off pixels, but its enough that you won't notice during regular use. There's also multiple levels you can use. If you're interested in this, check it out on the play store and give it a go
Pixel Battery Saver Playstore
This is just the tip of the Iceburg for what I know honestly. I'll post more soon.

Use my S5 daily and actually just released a new ROM in the Verizon Galaxy S5 section for it based on NCG firmware and ROM.
There's many more ways to avoid battery drain than I have posted here, but these were the best top of the line ways I could think of. That being said, also check your battery for any pops and bubbles in the plastic wrapping around it OR for it being bloated in anyway. If you have had that S4 for a long time, its probably time for a new battery, which you can find on Amazon for probably less than 10 bucks.
I'm interested but don't know anything. What are the benefits? Like why should I root and why I shouldn't. My Pixel has been nothing but reliable and just want to know if i'm getting the full potential or if i'm missing out on something. Someone shine some light

Just google it and you will find the answer it's very simple.
Rooting in my opinion is only worth it if you want to tinker around with the Android OS. Having root provides the user with much more control over their device. Everything from theming (substratum theme engine which requires root) to flashing custom roms (which typically have cool mods cooked right into the firmware).
Root also provides the user to use custom kernels which allows the user to tweak all sorts of the phones "under the hood performance" like CPU voltages or the screen's color saturation and hue.
In my opinion the most popular adblocker, AdAway, requires root access. Titanium backup, the only app I use to backup my data also requires root.
Before you decide to hook your phone up to your pc and begin the journey into rooting and flashing I highly suggest you read many of the guides in the guide section of this forum. XDA is an amazing resource for people like yourself. Read, read and read some more.
I can't live without root. But it's kinda for tech junkies. I use root for setting up custom gestures with gmd gestures. Allows me to add multifinger gestures like 3 finger swipe down to go home, 3 finger swipe up for recent apps, and 3 finger swipe left and right for next app/previous app. Also allows my launcher (Nova launcher) to do a special screen lock that's root only. Some people use it for back up and restoring apps with titanium backup. Someone above mentioned allowing tweaking if under the hood options with a custom kernel like modifying voltage the cpu draws but my stock kernel settings work fine out the box. I think the last thing I use it for us to limit the number of recent apps with the app recently
I use to root all my device, but lately I feel like there is less and less that I am getting out of root. I don't think Xposed worked in 7 and pretty sure it's not out for 8 yet. In fact the only reason I have root right now is I got switched from my 6p to the XL and the dual speaker root mod took sound(audio and notifications) from below average to average, at least for my ears.
I used to root every device before i had a pixel xl, now i don't feel the need to root. I do miss adaway to block ads, but thats about it. Its all about preference i think. Root and try it out, if you like it, keep it, and if you don't, you can always go back. Make sure you read the guides to root a pixel xl though. Dont want to end with a bricked device.
You should only root it if you have an idea on what you hope to accomplish with it, so the best thing to do is research root for your device. Back in the day I rooted my phones religiously, my S3, S5, Note 4 were all rooted almost instantly. With my OG Pixel XL there were a lot fewer reasons to root as a lot of the reasons to root have been natively built into the OS over time.
I rooted my Pixel XL for adblocking, and lucky patcher. Of course there are many more reasons to do so if they fit what you want to do.
+1 for GMD Gesture Control, I can't live without it. The power of it is not with the default gestures that come with it but the ability to create your own that can start from any zone or edge of the screen. I've got around 50 gestures set up (a bunch of which launch from the edge and are mirrored for either edge so I can use the phone one handed with either left or right hand).
Viper4Android's my other must have app, as is Titanium Backup.
AdAway, TB, and Root Explorer are my primary reasons for root. I have a few other root aps that are more of a habit now than a need for me after years of rooting everything I have ever owned. If there were an equally effective non-root alternative to AdAway and I had to buy a device that couldn't be rooted, I might have to deal with it for the right price vs. performance vs. convenience of not keeping up with what is becoming a constant struggle with the Pixel. My son is due for a new tablet (for his birthday next month) and I haven't even looked into the root options yet of the couple of devices I am considering. That would have been step number one until last fall when I got the PIxel and Pixel XL.
Aside from installing Vanced youtube...I am not sure I need root anymore. Weird to say that as I was big into custom ROMs, root, overclocking my phones back in the day
Anyway, mostly using this to replace my aging original Tab S 10.5 which is now been used inside my PC to display CPU speeds, temps, etc.
It was lagging with EMBY and other things even with custom ROMs but I am glad I was able to find a new home for it to be useful.
Thanks for any feedback!
Same boat, I was really into root and other tweaks, now I'll get frustrated if I have to spend much time getting the experience I supposedly paid for. I actually just browse this forums in hopes of an update on next oneUI versions since they seem to have fixed some of the small caveats I find with the current version; sadly we are probably never going to get it though.
Anyway, the tab is beautiful and fast, and it will do most of the things you are expecting without losing a beat. To get the most out of it I would recommend getting the "good lock" apps to further personalize your experience (I wish someone told me about these before since I used the device for a month before finding them). The one hand operation(together with navigating gestures), the task changer(smaller more manageable app changer menu and initializing apps in floating mode from there), and the multistar(some nice tweaks to the floating mode like swiping from a to corner to start floating an that is already on screen) are the most useful in my perspective. I also downloaded an app called edge gestures to personalize my gesture experience even further, and an app called no keyboard because sometimes you just need to select/move/copy/paste text without the keyboard(even floating) to take any space on your screen.
Other nice apps I would recommend would be concepts(though still in development it is a nice vector based, layer-supporting drawing app), write 3.0 for general note taking(snappier stroke experience you'll get on android, and also vector based), and I cannot believe how much I have gotten into 3d sculpting and modeling with an app called nomad(is just so much fun even without knowing what you are doing).
I hope you have a great time with your tablet!

Than you so much for the information! Mine arrives tomorrow. I will research all the apps you mentioned.
I totally agree with Pazzu510. I use my tablet a looooooot, I use it for work and for media. I'm going to recommed you to give it a try the default samunsg apps that comes with the tablet. I LOVE the file explorer, you can syncronize one note and its just perfect. The browser is awesome too, it has a lot of configurations. I use samsung notes for my college notes, but I already tried noteshelf (very good app too, but samsung works better with the spen in my opinion. Try both and use whatever you like more) Xodo, to annotate on pdf or just open them its just a must have. It has a very good integration with the spen, onenote, etc, and you can have mutiple pdfs open.
I recommend you to set the battery limitation to 85% to protect it. And take a time and configure the energy app administration settings to bring you the best experience.
I'm very very happy with my tablet and I hope you the same!!

Thank you very much. It is on the UPS delivery truck and should be here in the next 3 hours or so. Really pumped to finally upgrade from the old S 10.5
Thanks for the tips!
The tablet is fantastic so far. Just trying to figure out which case style I prefer now. Probably will end up with like 4 cases at least.
The one disappointment was the sound...with the 4 speakers "tuned by akg" I was expecting more. My Mate 20x actually sounds better (which I know is highly regarded for sound but still). Luckily speaker usage is not crucial for me.

I thought the same thing. Almost a year later and still no android 11 with the sm-t837T. So that's pretty much my reason for wanting root. Lineage os! I've yet to root this tablet. Wonder is dex is gone it you flash a custom rom
My OnePlus 7T Global HD1903 was on stock OOS Stable for almost 3 years now.
I just decided to update to OOS12 Beta 2 (Indian) yesterday and overall, I like it!
Official update guide here: OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2 for the OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro
Improvements:
1. Stock launcher: now has Google Feeds built-in.
2. Stock launcher: can now lock home screen icon arrangements. This is especially a big deal for me because I always mis-swipe icons and accidentally rearrange them.
3. Game mode: swipe notification banner is now easier to use. You can easily adjust brightness now, which is what I always use when gaming.
4. WiFi and Bluetooth connects faster.
5. Mobile data: signal is more stable. This surprised me a lot because this is an Indian ROM flashed on a Global device. I live in the Philippines, so it may vary from country to country.
6. Fast switching between mobile data and wifi, unlike on OOS11 where there's around 3 seconds of delay.
7. More stable fingerprint scanning (FOD) so it feels faster too, unlike on OOS11 when there are instances that I have to try 3x before my fingerprint gets recognized.
8. Larger PIN input when restarting device and FOD is disabled.
9. Lowest brightness is now even lower. Very good when you use your phone in pitch black environments.
What's missing, and what can be improved:
1. AOD: still the same old crappy Sometimes On Display. My Oppo Reno has a proper AOD, which I thought would be implemented in this update.
2. Recents: app settings cannot be launched directly anymore.
3. Notification banners: button texts are buggy/cut (like Reply or Like). Although this is an Android 12 issue, OnePlus could have fixed it.
4. Stock launcher: home screen icons cannot be set individually. (I bought icon packs for this feature)
5. Stock launcher: home screen icons cannot be renamed anymore. (You can remove app names completely)
6. Dolby Atmos is now disabled when using built-in speakers. Ironically, I only enable them when using the built-in speakers to make sound louder.
7. VoLTE and VoWiFI
Bugs and Nitpicks (but not dealbreakers):
1. Very long boot time. Logo always stuck for 40 seconds before boot animation shows up.
2. Boot animation stutters (low FPS).
3. On standard home screen mode (drawer disabled), SIM Toolkit apps always show up on the home screen after every reboot, even if you put them in a folder.
4. Some apps think that the device/sim is Indian, so there are notifications telling you to enable Roaming. Just disable these notifications once, then they'll stop showing up.
5. Lock screen colors are still oversaturated when FOD is enabled (same with OOS10 and OOS11). This is why I just use a black wallpaper for lockscreen.
6. Stock launcher icon names can now only be removed completely (no app names on drawer too), unlike before where it only doesn't show on the home screen.
I finaly update myself... But I am little disappinted.
first of all, AOD on OOS 11 (oob5) worked perfectly... it doesn't work here... it just is.
I have a big lag when I want to use gestures, especially when I want to leave the gallery in the home screen... everything seems to be slower.
Third, the phone and phonebook app is now much worse... it's much slower to find a name in the phone book.
Fourth, the theme substratum does not work, pureblack for example, so the notification shade is not black as I would like it to be... and all the colors seem washed out to me.
Five, no advinced power menu any more... And no optio for clear cache in recovery
I use Nova and I like it....
High performance mod... is for me must be on

Thanks for sharing your experience!
Although mine is quite the opposite (everything is more responsive / no lag).
My device isn't rooted though, and I upgraded from stable rom. So ymmv.

When I turn off substratum... its now faster and feel like before... But I prefere black in dark mode and not gray...
Also I will disable... Theme Store and Work Life Balance (I realy do not need) and Scout... What is that? Do you use it? Sports (how to acces that app) ?
And I am realy frustrated with new phonebook/call app
EDIT: I still have this bug... with gallery app and only Gallery app for now...
When I swap from botom to top... to go to home screen... bacj is just fine... but going straith to home not working in gallery app
Do you know what is Onet app?
Is it India specific? Like Idwntificarion of Unknow Number (doea it work in eu) ?
Also is there any easy way like iit was on 11 to check/change battery optimisation for specific app... or I need to go from settings and to look for app in the hole list?

I also use swipe navigation but don't have that issue on the Gallery app. I can smoothly transition from Gallery to Home Screen. I uploaded a video: CLICK HERE
Regarding apps you don't need, there is an option to disable them in the app settings.
On the end... I find that my bigrst problem is notificstion lock screen. When I get notificstion I have it for first time, but if I unlock and relock without open notificstin at all... it disappears from lock screen.
Does anyone know how to fix that behavior... Notification not show on LockScreen?
And AOD, not working... All time.... on OB5 ti was working all time if you whant that. Here it just disappear if you do not touch or move phone. I disklike that behavior.
Also I find out that Tasker, or any other app on 12 can not disable network status (2G/3G/4G) even with root.

In the end, this is a HUGE step backwards for me... and many OnePlus fans who wanted something more and stuck to the Never Settle slogan.
Oppo Coloros is not usable with many applications and causes problems with an even larger number. Maybe at first glance it looks like it's moving smoothly and quickly, but it's just an illusion.
Tasker is just one of those applications and is considered one of the most powerful Android tools, but it is completely unusable even with Root on this system. Even the most ordinary things, which are useful to me, as it is. turning on screen rotation and screen time out for certen apps do not work. Let's not talk about some more complex actions such as norification and starting AOD when there is an unread notification.
AOD itself is very unreliable, I installed 3 different "updates" of the AOD application itself to get it to work at all.
The notification on the lockscreen is just a "masterpiece" it only works once when you receive the notification, and whether you read it or not, it will never appear on the lockscreen again, no matter how many times you unlock or lock your screen.
As a root user of a phone that supports 90Hz, I used to be able to always and in all circumstances use that option, now the screen is almost always at 60Hz no matter what you set and there is no longer a possibility to "force" the phone to always use 90Hz even with an ADB command... All this did not increase the battery life in the least... it even decreased it because the screen is no longer black (which I could achieve on OOS 11 using Subststratum pure black tmeme) but mostly gray.
I still don't have time to dedicate a whole day to wiping the data and going back to the good old OOS... but if you don't want to just have the number 12 in the phone info... and if you use the phone for anything more than texting and answering on calls, it's better to redistribute with old security patches than to get frustrated with Color OS.
Even the most common application, phone book and phone dealer, is a step backwards for me, although I could get used to it if at least some of the basic things that I am used to as a user would work.
Bluetooth, WiFi... Mobile Data... Signal strength, I really have no complaints, it all works great. Preinstalled applications work well and it's a matter of habit and personal taste whether you like the design or not.
But if you use Tasker, Huawei watch, or are a root user who is a bit more demanding... know that I Color OS is very restrictive and that 99% of things will not work as they did on OOS... Especially if you come with OOS Beta 4 or 5 which had AOD working and if you are used to it, I would not recommend you to waste your time and switch to Color OS.
The number 12 is not worth your time, annoyance and searching for a solution for what was working beautifully and smoothly, just because it is a number higher than 11.
On the end choices is yours... Just like it was mine when I done misktake and update.

Have you tried any custom ROMs such as Pixel Experience? What are your thoughts on them if you have. I grew tired of waiting for OnePlus to release a stable 12 and installed Pixel Experience. I am mostly satisfied with it, although battery drain is more pronounced.

Your #1 mistake was to dirty flash a beta software into an older android version.
Even on custom roms, that's a very bad idea.

Actualy, that doesn't change anything... It's Color OS... and all working just it work on cleen install. So I didn't make any mistake there, except the fact that Color OS is not for me or anyone who like freedom of OOS... When I decide to be restricted like I am on ColotOS, I will buy iphone.
So, does your clean installation act differently... lock screen notificstion, AOD, can Tasker change you system settings (turn on and off AOD if you have any new notification, for example), can you force 90Hz in all apps?
Because thats are problems... I don't have any fingerprint or any other system lroblem except it's inconsistent and undefined... it's doesn't have all android 12 theming and look but it's not OOS costumization.
Anyone know of a fix for no signal? It asks for Oroaming funds, but I have an unlocked One Plus 7 Pro converted to the Global Beta 2.
My sim card is Tmobile.

Do u have the magisk patched boot of this version?
First Google phone (Pixel 6 Pro) in years! Anyways want to slim down and get rid of Google services on a phone. I am thinking of switching to Graphene OS but also want a ROM that fixes a lot of the bugs this phone has. Better screen color and brightness control and better battery. But would like to use the stock camera if possible. Rather not have to use magisk if it's avoidable.
Would a different ROM make more sense or are there other things Graphene can do that improves on Google's buggy and strangely limited version of Android on the Pixel.
Btw downgraded from a S22 Ultra for the purpose of giving Google's snooping eyes the boot but got use to the saturated colors on Samsung phones!. I am fine with the browser versions of YouTube, YT Music and Gmail.
Any and all suggestions and comments welcome.
To what do you refer when you say "... the bugs this phone has."?
I'd say go with GrapheneOS. You can use gcam if you like, I'd recommend with "gcam-services-provider" photos version, which avoids the need to install gservices.
Magisk should not be necessary unless you want to do something that just won't work without root, like call recording (BCR is the best choice for this), or make proper complete backups (seedvault backup is available, but won't back up any application that tells it not to, with root, neobackup is the best choice)
Youtube software should be replaced with Newpipe (open source youtube client). Gmail can be replaced with Fairemail (preferred) or K9Mail (now Thunderbird? https://k9mail.app/2022/06/13/K-9-Mail-and-Thunderbird.html).

Maybe bugs was to strong. More like behaviors like the auto brightness being way to dim despite constant adjustment to train it. It has been using Samsung devices for a while now. Android has been getting so good I stopped rooting and installing roms. However Samsung has gotten very irritating and bloated again.
Thanks for the help and suggestions. There where some root apps that allowed you to adjust the displays saturation and contrast. Is there anything like that for the Pixel 6 Plus. Samsung broke my eye with the saturated colors. Lol.
Also is possible to use an Android wear watch without Android wear or will I have to change to a Tizen (Samsung) or maybe a Honor Magic watch. Taking suggestions.
Also is rooting for Magisk necessary as I would like to keep things more secure.

Just an update. Graphenos install was super simple. Using Newpipe but looking for a YouTube Music streaming app since I listen to a lot of kpop which is hard to find elsewhere. Any ideas? Also using Open Camera for more control.
Grapheneos has a Saturated color profile so that fixed my color saturation issue!
Refusing to install even a sandboxes version of GPS.

I'm not sure if it gives you exactly what you're looking for, but newpipe seems to have had some music-specific features since 2020; https://newpipe.net/blog/release/pinned/newpipe-0.19.3-release/
When you hit the search button (magnifying glass, upper-right corner), you then hit the MENU button (3 vertical dots button, upper-right corner) and can pick one of the 4 youtube music filters.
The saturated colors option is part of AOSP and is included in factory images as well. They started adding that in one of the updates for Pixel 2, which is where they started pushing *natural* colors. Some people didn't like natural colors after getting used to cartoon-level saturation and wanted some extra. I keep mine on Natural and have subsequently adjusted to it. It was probably easier for me to adjust to on account of having had no choice initially.
