[Q] 3G not connecting.

Hi,
Recently my 3G simply dropped out. I have no idea how it did, however I have not been able to fix it.
After trying to reset the APN settings, change the preferred network type and to reset the radio. No luck.
the H+ / 3G icon just does not appear. Calls and texts still work.
Any other ideas?

try to change to 2G network and see. if "E"-edge appears then problem is with your network. Also just check if you have "Data Enabled" in case you have forgotten to turn it on

[Q] Why are the signal bars grey instead of blue?

I updated to the Jellybean ROM no problem, and then I made the mistake of trying to change the softkeys' appearance which disabled my notification bar and softkeys for some reason. After backing up my calls, texts, apps, etc. I had to go back to ICS and then update again to Jellybean. Everything is perfect except that the signal bars and wi-fi icons are grey so at first glance it looks like I have no reception. It's probably doesn't sound like a huge deal, but it's very annoying to me. It wasn't like this the first time I updated to Jellybean.

Grey bars means you aren't connected to Google Services, which again means you don't have internet connection.
Check your APN's. And if they are correct, try to make a new profile and activate that.

Go to your provider's Web page and check what the settings should be.
Then go to Settings > more > mobile networks > access point names
Check that the settings there match what your provider says.

Menu->System Settings. Wifi should be the top option. Give it a touch, select your desired network, and it should be similar to the pop up from there

Wi-Fi auto turns on...

I'm with T-Mobile and my mobile data is unlimited and faster then my home internet so I prefer not to use my home internet. But after a short period of standby it will automatically kick on. I have checked my settings and everything to my knowledge is set up properly. All stock no root.

Disable the wifi manager
To solve your problem just go to the T-Mobile My Account App and in press de menu --> options then go to the Connection Assistant area and select Open Wi-Fi Manager once in there disable the Manage Wi-Fi connections option.
Hope this helps. It did it for me.

I can't find the connection assist area. Where is it in options?
Maybe its Google now or location services who turns on your Wi-Fi.

Hi, you should see it right under the notifications section in the T-Mobile My Account options.
If you have trouble finding it let me know and I'll try to prepare a step by step when I get back home.

277634#*# has a option for that on the t-mobile version, but the t-mobile version also just lets you pick lte only (settings -> networks -> more -> mobile networks -> Network mode).

Has this been figured out? I'd love to force Band 12 as well and could do it on my S6 Edge using *#2253#. Obviously, that doesn't work on the G4.

What is the problem? Why do you need to force LTE?
Does anyone know the dialer code for the AT&T version?
Code for Verizon? Anyone?
