I've tried B510, but recently i've downgraded to B125.
Gallery on B510 was more smooth and the white theme is great: is it possible to install it on B125?
I've downloaded B510 and other KK roms, unpacked theme.. but can't find in system app the gallery :crying:
Fromt themes looks like "com.android.gallery3d", anyone has this apk or know how to extract it?

Unzip B510 rom and in /system/priv-app you will find an apk named galery2.apk it's what you search it's camera + galery application
But i can't tell you if it work with an older version of Android because "priv-app" is only for Kitkat if i do not make a mistake.
Otherwise put this apk and replace the original one in /system/priv-app or /system/app with a root file manager and reboot.. i have make that with ParanoidAndroid (Kitkat) http://forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p6/themes-apps/camera-app-b510-t2824928 and it work
I think it's more interessant to upgrade to the last B513 here

Little update for who was interest about KK gallery on B125
I've just tried, extracted gallery2.apk from priv-app and put it on my sdcard. From phone i've tried a simple apk installation and KK gallery was installed succesfully.
Gallery app work nicely, smooth, white theme :laugh:. Unfortunately camera stopped working.. force close after every time i've tried to open it. Erase data from settings didn't help
So i've uninstalled it and now it's all ok, old JB gallery and camera working.
So port Gallery from KK to JB is not so easy.
Maybe by replacing the original one but it's easier to flash a KK rom.
You try to Wipe DalvikCache ?
Port B5xx (KK) gallery to any KK CustomRom work even it's a little bit buggy.

No.. i haven't tried any wipe.. but i don't think they will work.
Gallery from KK worked perfectly, the problem was with the camera app: after installing KK gallery it didn't work anymore..
With KK, P6's camera shot also at ISO lower than 100 (up to ISO50), so something has changed (on JB minimum ISO was 100)
Push it to system/app, replacing the original JB gallery and setting permissions could work, but i haven't root access on my phone (for warranty). If someone will try backup first stock JB gallery!
So.. i will wait new KK roms, hoping they will be more smooth and fast :good:

For the root i don't know where you are living but in some country like in France, they cannot refuse a phone's warranty for any software changes. And if you want you can come back to another stock rom it will unroot the phone.I don't think they look a lot at this thing. If you want the root it's not a huge problem. But i understand your reticent feeling.
Perso i use the CM camera which i found on the PlayStore
Huawei is very long to make a good KitKat rom for the P6 .. it's sure i won't buy another huawei phone x)

Yes, unfortunately KK performance (i've tried only B510) are poor if compared to JB (like B125)
I'm from Italy, and yes i know those things about warranty, but the phone is working fast and smooth with B125, so i don't want to change anything for the moment
When warranty will be ended probably i will flash some KK custom rom, which seem stable and more fast than stock huawei KK :good:

When are you going to add a file manager in your alpha version of android 6.0.0 for samsung galaxy grand duos ...it would solve lot of my problems

I don't think gapps are available for AOSP 6. Use apk extracted from other android phones...
and how do i install es explorer (or any app for that matter..)

although i can download apk but i cant install it cause there is no file explorer....
this problem can only be solved if there is a built in file explorer...the rom will then become usable.

Hi everyone.
I have a rooted samsung tab pro 10.1 with Linage OS 14.1, with nova launcher made to look like the samsung S8 touchwiz.
I wanted free some memory and delete some standard apps like calculator, note book, alarm and browser (I use samsung internet).
When I downloaded a system app remover it said the device needed to be rooted. So I downloaded ES file explorer file management app and this said the same.
When I download the lineage ROM does it lose root access and if I reroot my device will it mess up the lineage ROM in anyway.

I have done some digging on the old web and found out what I needs doing.
Basically you have to download the superSu add on for the right version of Linage and the ARM version(I will add a link where to get the add-on)
After that you need to unlock the development options and then enable the level of root access from there.

I'm using RM5 plus, I am using this phone running mokee rom, lineage, aosp, viper, rr rom
The interesting thing is I tried replacing the snapdragon camera with google camera by root explorer. it runs so well, not error, not stop.
I rooted device and use root explorer delete folder "Snap" of original camera in system/priv-app and install Google camera here. Cut folder of Google camera in data/app into system/priv-app. Reboot device
does this work on stock miui global rom?

I need a file that is located at this directory:

Ours was in that subfolder and titled Base.apk.

After downloading firmware based on same release
I extracted the archive
Within archive I navigated to fonder:
system/priv-app/FingerPrint/
Containing one apk
FingerPrint.apk
Install was blocked stating it was corrupted
I then manually installed/moved FingerPrint.apk to the same default directory on our device. (not erasing anything)
Reboot.
Hoping now it fixed issue.
