What is this?
Pixel Experience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, bootanimation).
Our mission is to offer the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential features for the proper functioning of the device.

Are you using Cpt Throwbacks version of twrp which reads encryption or latest official 3.3.0.0?

Nevermind, jumped in with both feet and encrypted. Very quick and successful ? Decryption in official TWRP 3.3.0.0 works perfectly.

Its HMP.
The rom based on aosp with few caf things. So more probably aosp. The kernel is caf HMP which compatible with that.

Do you guys have a little overheating when doing normal stuff like youtube videos or using chrome, facebook, instagram... Don't sure but i think i had same experience with latest lineage os... don't have time to revert on lineage to test

This ROM is making my 10 feel like a brand new phone. Everything that I need just works. Encryption, ambient mode, native Google apps...it's just fantastic...I love it. Not sure if the system font is the latest font that I think comes with pixel 3 (product sans) as the "y" looks different but that's just an aesthetic thing. Performance is great, fast boot, ready to go. Battery drain is a bit more and sot a bit less than LOS16U but this is an alpha so definitely to be expected. Thank you @fagyi you've done it again...only better...as if we thought that was even possible! ?

Coming from rr rom would it be best to ruu back to stock first or just wipe everything including internal storage and format data?

If you are on rr pie than yes, that's will be enough... But one working backup is always a good idea just in case if something goes wrong...

Try the full wipe and format first. Much quicker than restoring to stock ruu. You are going to lose everything either way. Make sure you copy your backup to external SD card or your pc beforehand...just a reminder ?
Edit: format probably not needed so try full wipe first. If previously encrypted then maybe format needed but as before, just try full wipe incl internal storage first. You can always try format later if no go.

Smooth,fast, battery consumption is good like lineage os ....for enabling nav bar u have to use magisk module ....sound quality is good .... totally my daily driver.... @fagyi is ( now playing) feature working for u ?

yeah ... i am having similar experience .. the latest LOS is running warmer under normal loads but performance seems uneffected with battery consumption being little bit higher .

Hey, loving the ROM so far,
I just hate the system window animation because it makes the screen go black during the animation. Is there any way to change this? It makes the ROM experience really clunky and slow.
Edit: Switching due to bad battery and annoying system animation. Sorry, other than that it was interesting

OrionOS is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of the world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? ). We started this project for Falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom, which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and includes a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.

It boot up but then go directly to the Honor Logo... again and again...

No I downloaded this and clean flashed coming from CM13 but the boot up did take a while, though that is normal for first boot up. This ROM is amazing it's really fast and I love the dark theme. I might try tipsyOS later today I'm torn between this, RR, Slim, CM13 & maybe even tipsyOS. Your work is amazing OP! Thanks

I'm gonna try this ROM and Cardinal tomorrow night. It's time again that I taste AOSP sweetness.

I m using viper from last 3 days & initial thought about this rom is "You can feel venom in vein"lol
Battery backup is excellent .Got 5 hour minimum SOT which i got only on AOGPX in my usage style
Will post review but im confused which thread i sud follow.This one or samucadroid's.

Its very good ROM with excellent battery backup.I moved on other ROM cuz default equilizer wasn't working. Other than I face no issues on viper Rom in 4 day usage.Go ahead its indeed a good ROM.

you can use dolby in magisk as a default equilizer..works well..

Well yes I can & I have used many audio mods.I will suggest viper equilizer over Dolby.(viper name is equilizer's too ).But all I found that Dolby and viper just increase volume not quality.I have used custom audio mods too which I sud not discuss cuz its off topic.
Bro Default audio fx equilizer in other ROM is awesome and gives better effects then Dolby.
In this Viper is rom builds no default equliser is working nd i just told abt it nd request to fix it.

Try "Real Sound signature" by Genuisishere. His mod are based on DTS ,Harman,&Dirac technologies.Mod is easy to install just flash zip file via TWRP thsts it(Note:ur default Equilizer will not work after it )
I m using his "Q" sound mods nd they all worked great.He recently updated new version "RQIIII" but files are not getting downlod access at the moment .

Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Go to Aicp Extras/Navigation bar, and enable it.
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I keep losing root with Magisk, how do I fix it?
A. Check this out. If that doesn't work for you, ask for help in this thread, read or ask in the Magisk thread on XDA or just re-flash Magisk!
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Oreo. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know it!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
7. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every OTA update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash
KERNEL:
The kernel in this ROM follows LAOS source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash using the built-in OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
You can still use the LAOS recovery and OTA app, but you will need to download the zip file and flash it manually from within your recovery. The Zipfile gets saved in the "aicp_ota" folder on your internal storage.
Please be sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery. Keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!

Well tell me what made you feel that way? Within 4 days of publication, how can a project be dead? Its sort of asking for ETA, know why? Because asking such question force me to answer how much progress I have made, requested to go through FAQ/Common questions section above, and just DONT ASK silly questions or go for such queries, I will update the thread whenever I will fix the RIL (simcard issue), because without sim, this ROM would be useless right? Every security patches or rom features will be of NO USE! It is you who asked everyone to be patient, well now its time for you, keep the thread clean

I deduce that you did not read my post in which I say it was my way of keeping me informed.
I do not ask ETA, it never happened and it would not be now.
At no point did I ask if the developer had abandoned, because it would not make the slightest sense, since it has very little time.
It was a matter of saying, and how it would be interpreted, when I asked if the project was dead, I wanted to ask if it was stopped, because the topic itself was stopped.:good:

is not a problem of the ril what happens is that the rom leaves imei in nothing

Notice for who are interested in this project:
The next build might take time of 2 weeks, as my exams are running, found why the sim issues are occurring(may release the fixed build soon), as oreo for our device is not stable yet, we might have to wait for a long time to get stable oreo, once I fix the sim, I will look into fixing HAL1 and SElinux issues, nougat is still rock-stable, I will update this ROM surely, till then, I expect your co-operation and patience, cheers!

we need quick charge 2 for this as aicp 13 and linage os 15.1
we nead also more modification on lock screan view to become more like xperia lock screan thx pro

Same problem i've found:
1. Video playback on WA and Instagram won't play
2. Wi-Fi Hotspot don't work
But performance and customization it was very awesome!!!1!1!1!!!

but i have >selfish:angel:< request
we miss the stereo mod in all pie roms i had tried to edit the mixer of p roms as that in oreo rom but i failed

Does it support offline charging

Is here in this rom also a problem with incall echo like in lineage OS 14.1. in lineage the Problem on my honami is that I have low and weak speaker volume and incall echo. So the people with which I'm calling can hear themselves. So btw I'm not the person using this but the lineage 14 thread is kinda dead maybe someone can confirm that these problems are not a thing in this rom or maybe someone knows how to fix them in nougat. I think nougat is the most stable rom when it comes to installing it for someone else who is not interested in this rom thing and just wants a working phone. But these two problems are a thing which I can not fix for the actual user. Idk rom need to be as stable as lineage OS 14.1 also in case of GPS, battery, heating and also without these two bugs. Maybe someone can give me some more information this would be really nice.

Nice rom fast and clean. Great work man.
But when i flash RZ kernel the camera recording does not work well and gets laggy when i playback the recorded videos.
Any idea how to fix this?
Without flash kernel camera recording works great but this gives me a wrong MAC address (like 00:0a:f5:89:89:ff).
A few small artifacts in the nav bar icons and when I unlock the device gets small artifacts in notifications icons. Nothing serious its gone when i click.
Any way to bring back the correct MAC address?
I re-flash the ROM again without the RZ kernel and fixed the MAC address.

You can port this rom to your device by replace dtb & zImage in boot.img, the rom can boot up
But you should root & edit something in /system to make it suitable for your device
Building rom from source takes too much time & require a powerful computer
