Is there a way to get Snapchat working on these treble roms (other than backing up the data with titanium backup)?
I'm a big Snapchat user but I'd like to install phh's LineageOS but Snapchat doesn't work on it or any other treble roms.
Thank you.

Hello everyone, I would like to know if there is a ROM, no bugs in Moto G5, no camera errors, errors of synchronizing contacts, 4G.
I wanted a stable rom as the stock.
The Moto G5 is not compatible with the treble project , how to install treble roms? (There is always a method so I was wondering if there are methods to install treble roms on a mobile phone that does not support, and I know you guys from the XDA forum do not play in service so there is a method to install treble rom on the Moto G5)
*I'm sorry for bad English, I'm new to the xda forum, I'll be grateful for a helpful answer.
Technically the G5 does support treble but it's still quite buggy, I wouldn't recommend using it atm.
There are no fully stable ROMs yet (and I highly doubt they will ever exist because we don't have too many developers). The USB tethering and camcorder issues will likely still exist. Use stock or get a better device.
I am on AOSiP treble and it works fine. Moto actions don't work, but camera and contacts (after manually installing latest play services apk) work. So it really depends on what you need... I am talking of Oreo obviously.

Go to the ROM section and to the Treble Lineage thread and follow instructions.
Hi guys, i am going to flash custom rom on my lenovo p2 fr the first time..can u guys recommend the most stable, bug free rom?
I've tried LineageOS 15.1 https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p2/development/rom-lineageos-15-1-p2-t3814361 and AOST Extended (AEX) https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p2/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v5-4-t3774641. So far both of them are good and no crash nor bootloop happens. I used custom TWRP from lineage wiki site https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/kuntao/install. Scroll down to "Download a custom recovery - you can download TWRP"
that specifically Linked TWRP that is made with F2FS fixes and LineageOS in mind. Then make sure to backup your stock ROM first, just in case.
Have fun! Make sure to thank the developers for every mods you've used!
I can recommend crdroid.
I've been using it for month without any problems.
You might wanna flash "video recording fix for Astridxx"
And the "hal3 portrait fix/camera api2 fix" by highwaystar.
After that, flash gapps.
And Magisk.
So that root is not detected and your Playstore verified.!
You might wanna try using it without Magisk and disabling root in developer options . That might also work.
Otherwise , I also recommend Lineageos, because simple flashing it and gapps is enough. (Doesn't have root)
Please list all ROMs other than stock where camera works out of the box flawless without the need to install magisk or stuff like that. Also other apps like the moto cam or gcam should work well too. Thanks.

Anything based on nougat/oreo eg lineage 14.1
I currently have LOS 18.1 on oneplus 9 pro, the august 17th release and I don't have google services.
I'm wondering wheter there is a way of using the camera array properly as it would have been on oxygen OS. I mean, currently I can only use the main 48mpx camera and that's it. what I cannot do:
- using ultrawide camera lens
- recording more than 30 fps videos
I already tried Opencamera and Hedgecam2, none of them allows me to do that. gcam is out of the equation since I have no google services, but I strongly believe these issues are not caused by the camera apps but by LOS.
what can I do to improve LOS and fixing these issues?
Just go back to OOS my friend. That's what I had to do.
I personally love AOSP based roms but I don't think their integrated camera/gcam is stable enough, for now at least.
I myself tried Evolution X for about 2 weeks. The battery gets a major improvement if compared to OOS, but that's about it.
It can be used easily as a daily driver but the lack of OnePlus camera and many other features which were available in OOS led me back to it.
I'm currently running latest OOS with magisk updated.
I'll probably return to cRdroid/EvoX after their camera issues get resolved.
I just want to keep this for a while, if the problem do not goes away I'll have to install OOS and perform a GMS removal.
Why not gcam with microg? I've used microg just for gcam and disable network access to it and there you go, gcam with privacy.

there is no way you can install gcam in LOS without GMS.
then you are locked without camera features

He is suggesting you install microg; a cleaner fork of GMS, I am using it currently on my 7TPro and Gcam is working just fine with microg.
Is there not a way to pull the OOS camera and install it on LineageOS?
Hello everyone,
since my OnePlus 9 Pro doesn't work as fast as I expect, I'm wondering if installing a custom operating system would make it faster. I want degoogled phone, and I would like to be able to restore WhatsApp Chats from OxygenOS backup.
Which Custom ROM do you recommend? LineageOS?
Will Android be faster after installing Custom ROM and is it even necessary to install Custom ROM for speed? Or do you have a suggestion of what to do with OxygenOS to make it fast?
Thank you!
I would find a aosp rom most pute source if you want speed. Also if I were you I would use swift backup to save and restore my apps and data if going to other roms
toolhas4degrees, can you explain how can I do that? at least the first thing you mentioned?
hello,
Long story short:
1. CustomRom: Carbon Rom because battery life is good but for bugs you need to check for yourself
Optional for Battery-Life improvement and issue tracking:
1. "MinMicroG" as a flashable option instead of Gapps ( Skip this if you don't want microG and use Google apps)
2. app "Warden" to analyize apps which are using "Trackers, Google Analytic Services and Ad services" (Some Apps are extreme battery hogs probably because of some Services, Receivers and Wakelocks as i recognized)
3. use app like Servicely or similiar to disable receivers and services (as mentioned above)
4. Use Gsam Battery Monitor for Wakelocks and an advanced battery-usage-Statistic
5. Tasker for Automation for turning things off like Wifi etc. (only for experienced or "willing to learn" users, not necessary)
Note: Custom Rom with MicroG support is needed for MicroG to work (CarbonRom, LineageOS)
Note: For OSS Backups i have no experience, normally Whatsapp makes a backup to Google Drive or atleast local on your phone.
@AndroiduserBlazeIf you need some guidance trough the mentioned procedures, i will try to guide you through.
Ps: if you are still OSS with all your data in place, you can backup and restore via Android Debug Bridge
Best Regard's

Is Carbon ROM faster than LineageOS?
It is difficult to say, I think CarbonRom and LineageOS are close up but not really similar.
I would prefer CarbonRom (android 11) because you can customize your experience a little bit more than LineageOS. I have ran and still run CarbonRom with issues of course but a battery life way better then OSS in my experience.
The other Customroms with Android 12 are not really stable.
I had similar problem with my Huawei P8 LITE 2017 PRALX1, since the last emui update my phone was slow and soft crashing every time and battery wouldnt last long (screen turns black and i'm back at the unlock screen) so I decided to at least try to fix it, after somes adventures I unlocked the bootloader and installed LineageOS 17.1 with android 10 (recent version dont work very well yet, think it comes from the kernel)
My phone was running as new, battery was lot more better, and everything worked except the back camera, I think I broke it when I was opening the phone (tbh not a big deal since I never use cameras anyways)
I opted for LineageOS though. Can anyone tell me how to restore WhatsApp (because it is the only application I want to restore) on the newly installed Custom ROM? Can this chat database be found in Google's drive and just copied to the new Whatsapp on LineageOS?
Thanks in advance!
Can someone tell me why this error appears by trying to flash LinegeOS;
"error: cannot load 'lineage-18.1-20220308-recovery-lemonadep.img': No such file or directory"? Where do I need to put the image file so that he recognise it? I use linux
EDIT: I got it. Problem solved. I just gone into the Downloads folder where I downloaded the image file. Now I´m trying out my new LineageOS ond my One Plus 9 Pro
