You can get Nightly Builds from the XASP by downloading the Master Branch Zip from GitHub to a Device or follow the Link on the GitHub Page to get Release Candidates with included GApps and other Extras. Before You can use Nightlies, is it essential to repack the Patch correctly. In order to do that extract the downloaded Zip File. You will get a Folder which contains all the Files of the Patch. Go inside of this Folder and pack all Files into a compressed standard Zip. I recommend 7zip/Bandizip on Windows and Rar on Android to do that. Follow the Instructions and Enjoy XASP!

Thank you. Very interesting project.
It could be any AOSP PIE ROM? or do you have any recommendation?
If it is Pixel Experience, we dont need to flash Gapps?
edit: i read on Github site, MODULE REQUIREMENTS: OpenGAPPS Super Package for ARM64 / 9.0
it means we need that gapps or it can be pico or nano?

I can really recommend Havoc OS if You like Customization. But close to AOSP will always be the best and Pixel Experience should fit in that. Not sure about the GApps. I recommend to use AROMA Open GApps since they include many under the hood Apps which are needed (Carrier Services, Google Dialer etc.) @jigs4wkiller has for sure the best Infos about all of that on the Mi 8

Ask about Gapps because i just downloaded today pico, but no problem to download full, stock, super, or aroma. Would be nice to tell exactly what version you recommend, as i would like to have most from this "ROM module"

Our TWRP sadly doesn't support Aroma installers and I always use nano and install the other gapps like dialer from the playstore.

So I have my PE-CAF version installed and setup.
What is the procedure at this stage?
Should I just flash the module/patch or start over again?
Thanks for this unique idea for optimizing our devices

SlimRoms presents: Slim7 Nougat
SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. Our main goal is to offer users a slimmed down yet feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by our public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
Slim7 is the project name for SlimRoms based on Android 7.X.X Nougat.
Although some of these may not be present yet in the ROM, Slim typically offers the following original features:
# Slim Navbar & Hardware key rebinding
* Single tap action, long press action, double tap action!-We’ve got you covered.
# Slim Actions & Chamber of secrets
* Customize your device to the fullest -You’re a wizard!
# SlimRecents
* A Faster alternative to stock recents -Your device, your choice.
# SlimLauncher
* An Open source, feature filled launcher! -Make yourself at home
# Status bar customization
* Clock and Date? Battery? -More fun than you can shake a stick at.
Important : I am still working on getting device handler. So we have not much customizations like off screen gestures and all. So proceed only if minimum is your legacy. Else forget slim.
Instructions

Polaris Office, Chase Mobile, Showbox...
[*] Chromecast screen mirroring not working, native casting works though.
Other Issues?
Flashing a custom Kernel will break your sensors on latest build.

You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates me more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking or ask the same question over and over again.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
Make sure your post is relevant to this thread. "I'm having problems rooting/unlocking" is NOT relevant here.

Hello @STRYDER~007!
Thanks for one more contribution for our device. I'm sure that it will be an awesome ROM. But what are the major changes in this ROM? I mean is it the same like @PecanCM's AOSP version, or it's a bit different?

PecanCM's AOSP is based on Google's pure AOSP with only device specific additions. This AOSP-CAF is mixture of both AOSP and some goodies/patches/fixes/upstream changes from Code Aurora Forum. Plus it has theme engine! Just install Substratum app from play store. You'll notice the differences when you'll flash this ROM.
Thanks for the reply brother! One more thing - am I going to lose dual SIM feature if I flash SuperSU after flashing the patch, or am I going to lose root if I flash dual SIM patch after SuperSU like it was happening in AOSP?

Dual SIM persists even after flashing SuperSU.
SIM networks fluctuate for a while after first boot.

The kernel within the ROM is not working with my Sony M - with normal boot it stucks with SONY on the screen, trying to upgrade the rom wia recovery it says "no e/ -- SD card not found"
Solution:
I took TWRP 3.0.20 for the device - SD card is now present - img can be flashed via recovery

Yes all roms for our device supports volte.
There's no volte or hd symbol in the status bar.
No matter what I do there is not an option to record the call in phone settings or during a call on the phone UI

I can't call anyone through jio sim is there any solution for that
Update: 9 August 2017
New update to Candy
Changelog
Android N 7.1.2_r33
August 5 2017 Security patches
Add preliminary OTA support (might be still broken across 2-3 more builds, until I find a better way to implement it)
Add moto camera from albus a.k.a moto z2 play but it won't be able to write to external_sd
Photographs taken from the camera will appear better post processing, increased the memory cap for encoding JPEGs.
Use cyanogen-dsp audio_effects configuration (Stock Music Equalizer won't work out of the box:/ )
Other changes can be found in Settings > About Phone > About Candy > Changelog
Also in Candy ROMs gerrit. https://gerrit.bbqdroid.org/q/status:merged
Some important points:
1. Clean flash is preferred although dirty flashing from the previous build should not be a problem; however please consider a clean flash before reporting bugs properly, the process of bug reporting has been highlighted in the latter part of the 1st post (OP). Jio's infrastructure has been a WIP, so don't necessarily blame the ROM if Jio isn't working, just try clean flashing the ROM again or even flash the modem file or the firmware available here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/stock-rom-npjs25-93-14-4-march-1-t3608138
2. To make sure Substratum themes and Gallery apps are working fine, before installing the ROM (especially when you are coming from other ROMs), follow these:
a. Do NOT take Titanium Backup of Substratum Themes or the Theme Engine app itself.
b. Delete .substratum folder in /sdcard , Android folder in /sdcard and /external_sd , .thumbnails folder in /sdcard/DCIM and /external_sd/DCIM (/sdcard refers to internal sd card)
c. Wipe Cache, ART Cache, Data and System. (/sdcard if possible)
d. Install ROM & GApps
e. Reboot
f. Make sure that the Substratum app and the themes are updated to the latest available version on Google Play.
g. Do NOT use the Dark/Automatic theme mode available under Settings>Display (Might conflict with Substratum themes and is buggy for sure.
3. Some people have complained about wake-up lag here and on AOSP-CAF. I've too experienced this occasionally . If you are using any 3rd party battery savers or Greenify, check their settings. You're free to use another kernel, but if things break; well then ....
Long story short, the wakeup lag is rare, I'd say.
4. To get MusicFX or Snapdragon+ Audio working , install the attached apk and/or move it to /system/priv-app/MusicFX Clear caches in twrp and then reboot. Audio still works fine on 3rd party music players and Snapdragon Music Player but equalizer may work or may not work in 3rd party apps as of now. (Check screenshots)
5. Themeing might be glitchy for OmniClock, it is being worked upon by the Candy team.

From what I see in the screenshots, the ROM has the round icons.
Otherwise if it didn't, in the screenshot above that shows the app drawer, the Play Store, Play Music and Play Video (and others) would show just the icon you see inside the round icons [emoji6]

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Will there be a treble version anywhen?
I am happy with treble but what drives me nuts is there is no 100% working camera and what about arcore our device got a neural network cpu or i am wrong?
Google photos takes forever to upload my photos, even enabled to use mobile data to upload.

auto-brightness is crazy (disabled it). Slo motion works on freedcam, after editing media_profiles snapcamera hdr started shooting slomo. Stock camera works ( and don't work) Gcam doesn't work (I have no wish to find the reason) Rolled back to beta oreo.
Stock cam dng crashes sometimes while switching 12/23 mp, portrait bokeh doesn't work.

Very good, thank you for bringing in new updates, but I have one thing I have to tell you, my Z17 was broken by me. The reason is that I want to change the battery, but it is so difficult to open, the screen is broken, I am sorry I can't test the update, please forgive me. (from Google Translate)
I respect your business, but I think there are some things that need to be done. The device of the same feature is much better than nubia in terms of custom rom.
for example ; Mi 6, Oneplus 5, Google Pixel 2
Will you keep updating this rom?
For example; Core settings, new gpu driver, Gpu underclock, spectrum support, wakelock blocker (boeffla settings), Eis support for 4K, Wireguard vpn tutorial etc ...
Can you do that?

Btw the rom is very smooth, battery charging speed and backup is great as well, but speaker volume is low in my opinion. While playing any media i had to fully increase the volume and still didn't find it loud enough.
Great work though.

Found the solution.. it was as previously stated. It was an issue with firmware. I installed firmware from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...rmware-firmware-asus-zenfone-max-pro-t4078747 (Only firmware is given here) then installed the ROM
