Hi people,
I downloaded the latest LineageOS for my latest Device, from Dumplings SF.
firmware, recovery, vendor files.
What I get all the time is that error message "E1001: Failed to update system image" and that he can't mount the vendor partition.
Any ideas ? PS: I can't even flash back to latest Oneplus ROM (or even older roms)....
For any help I kindly thank you.
best, Tamer
Update:
Meanwhile I use TWRP from "cheeseburgerdumplings" for 8.1 on what lineageOS and the "/vendor" partition is no more tried to be mounted.
What I figure out as well, is that if I go with adbs command to know if the fs is ecrypted or not:
adb shell getprop ro.crypto.state
tells me "encrypted"
Now the big question, which filesystems are encrypted, all ?
And which partition or FS does not have to be encrpyted?
Here is the "recovery.log":

I use root explorer to check my system file, the xposed.prop does not exist(as attach photo)
Please help
Recovery log please (see the TWRP thread if you don't know how to get one).
P.S. That second error is related to the extracted files, not what's in your system folder. You should reboot recovery before flashing the zip a second time to clear out the temp files.
Hi there
Trying to flash TWRP on my Pixel 2 XL, but it keeps giving me the failed error.
Why is this happening? Did everything that I do to root most android phones.
Any ideas?

The command is fastboot boot recovery
fastboot boot TWRP.img
Then flash the TWRP installer zip
Also to add, there is no recovery partition any longer.
Boot.img and recovery.img both exist in the boot partition.
And no need to use 3.1.1 alpha 1, there's 3.2.1-0 stable build.
I did exactly as you guys told me, did a quick backup in TWRP and somehow it actually ended up erasing my whole internal storage. :\
How the hell did it do that?!
And it keeps booting only into TWRP, so I guess the OS is somehow gone.
Reflash the boot image with stock. I had the same thing happen to me.
I am using Oneplus 5T. It has been running stock oxygen 10.0.1.
Recently my phone screen stopped responding. I intended to do clean flash. I have the stock ROM zip file stored in my phone's internal storage.
I am using a mouse attached via OTG to bring my phone back to normal.
After wiping, unfortunately, when I try to flash the zip file I get this Zip treble compatibility error .

I read online and learnt that orangefox recovery fixes this issue. So I flashed this recovery
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-5t-orangefox-recovery-project-r10-1.4041781/
After flashing, my filenames come out to be encyrpted.
I reflashed TWRP twrp-3.5.0_9-0-cheeseburger_dumpling.img. I was using this one only all this while since the beginning.
Same treble error.
I removed compatibility zip inside the rom using total commander but unfortunately I am unable to sideload it using adb. The process is stuck at 'starting adb sideload feature'.
Please help.
Hello,
I have flashed twrp-3.6.1_9-0-cheeseburger_dumpling.img successfully using Fastboot.
However I cannot decrypt my phone when booting into recovery.
Any attempt entering my PIN fails with error:
Failed to decrypt user 0
This error occurs since upgrading to LineageOS 19.
And this drives the following question:
Is twrp-3.6.1_9-0 supported on Android 12 (LineageOS 19)?
THX

Pretty sure NO device or rom has a fully working TWRP for A12 yet. You can use it to flash roms (from OTG for example) but since TWRP can't decrypt your internal storage you can't install anything from there or make/restore a nandroid.
If you go to their website (https://twrp.me/site/update/2022/03/10/twrp-3.6.1-released.html), you can read :
"[...]
We are continuing work on Android 12. There is no ETA currently. You can follow our status on Zulip

Hi everyone, I found after many tests a way to bypass the Read-Only.
WARNING: This is not a permanent fix, it is just a bypass where you can edit files.
Trying different AIO Tools (Universal, swflash etc etc) none of them unfortunately worked but thanks to an unofficial recovery (OrangeFox) that was recreated for this phone, it worked.
INSTALLATION:
If you want only the recovery, unpack the zip, open cmd-adb and type: fastboot flash recovery <recoveryname.img> otherwise flash the entire zip from your recovery.
After just reboot to recovery (if u prefer: fastboot reboot recovery) and edit your files!
Tip: when you open OrangeFox probably if you have encrypted files it will tell you to enter the password (try it, unfortunately it doesn't work for me, since you should format the phone) if for you also doesn't work just click the Cancel button.
Please note: the recovery is not mine but it is made by shas45558
If you like this method, please leave a like!
