You should download and flash Xiaomi.eu for now. I think the stable Nougat build isn't available right now.

Custom Oreo ROM or GSI?

I am on the leaked stable Oreo build of MIUI. I want to switch to a Oreo custom ROM, but I am confused which I should flash, the Generic System Images or RR/LOS. I am off course looking for stability(camera, battery) and performance, customization is not at the top of my list of needs. Thanks

I am using Both MIUI 9.5.12 in my Redmi Note 5 China ( Oreo 8.1) and RR Rom by Multiboot TWRP both working fine and RR Rom is stable and battery is also good as far as I used. You can try RR rom. BTW a tip for you if you want to use dual Rom don't put any lock in Custom rom if you do you wont be able to log in at MIUI Rom.

Miui Pie Base Or Oreo Base Before TWRP

I am on global stable Oreo 10.2.2.0 and i am waiting for my bootloader to be unlocked ( !!!! Hours )
my question is
is better to upgrade to Beta miui PIE 9.3.28 before flashing my first TWRP
OR
stay on OREO and flash TWRP
is better to have PIE base OR OREO BASE?????
For now, Oreo base is better for almost every custom ROM.
MIUI pie it's still unstable right now, better stay in oreo if you using it for dialy driver

twrp problem

hi guys
after updating my whyred to latest miui pie version i m unable to mount my any of partition though i could flash another rom.
could any one having solution?
thanks
To install any other pie based AOSP rom firt u need to download TWRP that supports both the pie and oreo firmware (latest pitch black will help) then you have to flash first oreo firmware (don't worry about ARB just flash firmware) and then you will be able to install any other aosp ROM.
Yep I'm facing the same issue even after using the latest version of PitchBlack Recovery.
thnks a lot bro

Oxygen OS 11 GSI ROM

Hello,
I know there's a way to flash gsi ROM in this device.
But I can't find any OxygenOS GSI rom for it. I found there's one for Poco F1 and K20 Pro. Will it work for K30 5G as well?
Will it be safe to flash that GSI ROM in this device?

GSI ROMs are no specific to any devices. You can flash any Oxygen GSI ROMs that you found on your devices. But not all GSI ROMs will boot successfully for any devices.
I found this Oxygen GSI ROM here.

No need for any MIUI ROM to be installed. GSI ROM is pure system on its own.
Beware: Flashing GSI ROMs will wipe all of your data out. Back up all necessary data before doing this.

How much time it will take to boot GSI? I tested both Corvus and CherishOS official GSI, stuck at logo for more than 20 mins. That OxygenOS GSI not even booting, it booting into Fastboot mode only
