Can anyone tell me why when i unlock my phone, the G logo in the search assistant at the bottom of the screen turns blue and then flashes for a couple seconds before returning to the normal multi-color logo. I think it just started doing it today, i never noticed it before. Screenshot attached.
Google is playing with animations that go along with the current days Google Doodle. Did the same kind of thing on the first day of spring when a flower popped out of the bar. I have it as well.
Saw that on my wife's P3 this morning. Figured it was thir way of saying "quit trying to use GPay on a rooted phone," LOL!

Hi all,
I purchase my Samsung Galaxy Nexus from 3 (Three) UK Store last Thursday. It has been faultless bar the odd hang which taking the battery out has resolved. Im using it on Orange.
However, this morning I picked up my phone and was notified I had the volume bix fix update.
I downloaded and installed the update and all was well for about 20 minutes.
Then my phone started going crazy!
I think its something to do with the screen as it keeps popping up the google search bar and flicking through some options, then the screen stops responding.
Sometimes the phone flicks between home screens partially and make them jiggle!
Locking and unlocking the phone gives me 5-30 seconds of normal use, then the phone goes crazy or just doesnt respond.
Ive turned the phone off and on, removed the battery and even reset it this evening.
It doesnt do it ALL the time, and whenever I try and do it on queue, it doesnt!
Luckily tonight I got video of the phone going crazy.
Can anyone help?
The phone is bog standard, ie no roms/roots etc.
Should I take it back or is there something I can do?
Also, since ive just reset the phone, ive had to set up my mail. Once the phone behaved I put in my account details and then it started popping up the menu button at the top of email, ie to change folders or accounts etc. Deffinately seems to be something with the top of screen.
Thanks

Please check the video out.
Maybe download the original shipping rom from Google and fastboot the image onto the phone and see if the behaviour continues.

This.
There's links to the original roms with or without the volume fix in place which can be found on the development section. I used this to update my gun and its working just fine. I'm also on Three UK and the reason I did this is because even though the volume bug doesn't affect us three users I still like being 100% up to date.

So my Gnex has been working fine since I got it (I am not sure exactly when but it was relatively soon after it came out). I unlocked it but never ended up flashing any ROM or anything. The only issue I've had with it has been that since I installed Google Drive on it about once every hour it asks me if I want it to use Gmail or Drive to perform an action without any other prompt.
Current Problem: The phone will not boot without being plugged in. However, when I do get it to turn on, it gets stuck at the Google logo screen. Something is definitely wrong at this step because a few times the word Google seemed to be popping up all around the screen and shaking around. A few other times at this step the word Google disappeared and then very slightly green stripes started rolling up the screen and slowly getting narrower.
I figure it is probably dead, and I was not able to find any other threads on this but I figure it is worth seeing if anyone else has encountered this.

Hi guys,
I just got my brand new LG G Pad 8.3 a few hours ago and I started to try it out. When I installed and started a game, the tablet just shown a lots of horizontal white stripes on the whole of the display equidistantly. I immediately exit the game and I've noticed that the stripes are still shown. I restarted the device and the stripes are still shown on the boot logo as well. After that I did a "Factory data reset" but nothing happened.
These may helps:
- When I started the game, the battery percentage was around 12 and it was plugged in. When I done the game it was 8%
- The game was Real Racing 3
- The phone in brand new, I didn't root it yet, so it was absolutely factory.
Any idea?

If you still have those stripes in boot logo it is more like a hardware problem not software, ask for replacement while you can.

Thanks for your answer.
Yeah, I still has them, nothing changed. I've written to the seller but they didn't answer yet (I hope just because of the weekend).
Update: I could replace it, even if they wouldn't really want to reply to my messages. Now works well.
Let me start with some details about the phone:
- It's a Sprint Samsung Galay S3, SPH-L710
- It was rooted and Cyanogenmod was installed successfully, no problems
- Phone was given to my aunt, and she used it for a while
Here's the problem:
A little while ago, she told me the phone turned off and wouldn't turn off again. I told her to charge the phone and see if that helped. She charged the phone and waited for the battery animation to show up full, and then turn on the phone. It booted past the Galaxy S3 logo, past the animated purple Samsung logo, got halfway through the Sprint 4G LTE boot animation with the music and then boom. Shut off. And then back to the battery charging screen but displayed the battery as if it was only 15% remaining. What?? Wasn't it full a minute ago???
Here's what I did to fix it:
Okay so I thought, it's a battery problem. I purchased a second battery from eBay (not OEM) and the same issue occured. Same exact thing happened. I looked up the issue online and it appeared to be a soft brick. I forgot exactly what I did but I downloaded a recovery file and flashed it via ODIN and it turned on. Phew.
I gave the phone back to my aunt and a week later, the same thing happened. Phone dead. Won't start. Won't get past the Sprint boot animation. So I thought to myself, hmm ok. I'll just reflash and do what I did before. But I mean, how often do I have to keep doing this? And she loses data every time I have to flash the phone.
And so I did. I put it into download mode, opened ODIN, browsed for the md5 file (I forgot what file it was, I'm mad at myself for that now) and flashed the phone. It flashed successfully but this time, the phone wouldn't turn on. It kept vibrating as if it's about to turn on but then dies immediately. I left the phone on my desk for a while and all I could hear was *bzzt* [pause] *bzzt* [pause] *bzzt* and I'm thinking, okay. Time to get an OEM battery.
I finally found an original Samsung battery from an authorized Samsung dealer, I was pretty surprised he still had the battery in stock and bought it from him and ran home. Still the same thing. Kept buzzing but won't turn on. And if I do turn it on, it won't get past the Sprint boot animation.
So I looked and looked and looked and looked online and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755793
Long story short, I followed the instructions, flashed successfully with no errors, and now I can boot past the Galaxy logo, boot past the Samsung logo, and finally past the Sprint boot animation until I landed on the Samsung screen. Just a black screen with Samsung that seemed to have a glowing purple around it. I was getting excited. After about 10 seconds, it went to the main welcome screen (the Google setup thing) with the next button and the language selector in the bottom. I was on that screen for about 2 seconds AND THE PHONE TURNED OFF. Back to the battery screen.
What am I doing wrong? Is there something wrong with the phone? Battery? Am I flashing the wrong software? If so, can someone please direct me to the right place?
P.S. If you're thinking, "dude just get her a new phone" she does have a new one now. It's a Galaxy S7 but I really really want to know what's wrong with this phone and it's been annoying me lol
have you tried any other tar.md5 files on it?

I honestly lost track of what I flashed on this phone. Cam you provide me with links to files or just the software version to flash?

Might be the power button is faulty...
So i had a custom rom on my LG G3 and the second day after flashing that from my phone was hit with the scree fade and flickering problems ( did not know that at the time). So my dad and I assumed it was because of the rom. My dad tried some stuff but since it was not software related it did not work so we abandoned it in a box and I bought the G6 . A couple of weeks ago it came time for my G6 to go in the box, when I did that I pulled out the old G3 and opened it up to play with it, but after a quick google search and some tin foil i managed to fix the screen at least for now.
The problem I have is when I boot the phone it loads all the way to like the lg welcome page for the first setup ( I guess my dad got the stock os back when we were trying to figure what was wrong with it ) and I get the "Unfortunately, LDB has stopped working," if i press ok it just instantly pops up again, and after a couple of seconds LG logo pops up and a quick boot animation and it goes back to that page and error message.
Any ideas ?
