I love Vignette and all (wish it was more optimized to use the hardware truth be told) but I miss the iPhone app that I once had that did the 4 frame Lomography effect.
Forgot the name, but it had Toy Camera effects, and you can choose either 4/8/16 frame shots. It almost replaced my DSLR at times. It would shoot one frame right after another, and you can set it to either capture each frame at a specified interval like say .25sec.
Would anyone know here of such an app for Android?
Example of Lomography at the following link:
amazon.com/Lomography-Action-Sampler-4-lens-Camera/dp/B0001HM7NU
---
Update: Here's the App, but only for the iPhone at the moment: artandmobile.com/quadcamera/
FxCamera does a similar effect as well as Warhol, Fisheye and Polaroid (for those "readers wives" shots)
Retro Camera has some nice effects as well, both are on in the app store for free
Edit oh and Camera 360 has festoons of features including HDR
Thanks for the recommendations, although what I do seek for is a Lomography effect (in the Amazon link) that QuadCamera for the iPhone effectively does. I wouldn't mind paying for such an app.
4/8 stills mashed to one image with each sub-image slightly later than the first. The stuff you can do is simply astounding only limited by ones' creativity.

So is there such an app for the android? I'm also trying to look for an app similar to the QuadCamera for my x10!
Vignette now has the quad frame option
Thanks for the update on this! It should be one of the many features promoted by the developers. I contacted the guy who made the QuadCam app and asked him if he was going to be developing for Android and I pretty much got ignored. Delving further it seems that the dev's a bit of an Apple fanboy.
Testing out the new Vignette feature, its a lot of work compared to the QuadCam app. At least that's something.
This is huge for non-HTC WP7 devices. The latest Lazyworm YouTube app does proper HQ video over 3G. Very nice!
Already available on RealTube and SuperTube...no big deal...and you can always sideload the debranded HTC Youtube app on your phone...
But yes, for the general masses, this is great news...
UPDATE: I take back what I said. This new version is REALLY GOOD! The quality is still only at 480p level, even with HQ, but the features, and the UI alone make this a must have download...
Still, should have SuperTube for 720p and downloads...
The framerate of full-screen videos is very poor with this new version. The Microsoft YouTube app and the HTC YouTube app don't have this problem.

Indeed, the quality of SuperTube or RealTube is really better unfortunately (especially over 3G).
And with SuperTube you can also download.
I hope the video quality can be improved, because the UI of LazyTube is very nice.
Would anyone care to elaborate the benefit of a 720p over a 480p video on a 800x480 screen?

*forums won't let me add proper YT link as I'm a "newbie" on here

Haha, relieved that you took the time to check it out. 2.0 has been months in the making and has taken much thought, research and design to get to where it's at.

We actually know how to implement video download however we are a little reluctant to release this feature in fear of future ramifications (to our understanding it breaches YT terms of service).
Having said that, Microsoft don't seem to mind and if it's going to be held against us by the public we may be forced to support it.
With regards to video stream quality, expect to see the full range added into the next LazyTube update so please stay tuned !
Thanks guys.
Thank you very much LazyWormsApps for this message.
I bought LazyTube today and must say I really like it.
Compared to RealTube or SuperTube the search engine is far more efficient and the results are more relevant.
Great work. I am looking forward for the next updates
Maybe here's not the best place to ask, but I cannot find elsewhere more appropriate.
I flashed CM11, and installed the Instant Video app eventually.
But I found the video quality was far worse than that of the original prime instant video - the one equipped with Amazon's stock ROM.
Other than the low quality (I believe it's only 480p or less, while the original one is so sharp, maybe 720P), the connection speed is slower too.
So I'm seeking the confirmation of other instant video fans here, since things may be truly this.
Thanks.
The slow motion video of ZenFone 2 ze551ml sucks.....its just 30fps video which runs at 6fps so as to give it a feel of slow motion which is badly sucks at it......it is a toshiba t4k37 which is capable of 720p @60fps & 180p @60fps & [email protected]
Proper development should unlock its capablities....plz take a look at this
I agree a real slow motion would be great
Who will help us??
hahaha did u remember what asus said "see what others %@&#&#& fuc* that get xiaomi mi4i install ****in snapdragon camera in fact its cheaper than so called zenfone 2

Xiaomi's slow motion isn't that good either. I own a mi3w which costs more than the ZenFone 2. To be honest this device is just as good if not better than Xiaomi. I honestly don't think I'll ever buy another Xiaomi again as they have a lot of cons. They just make the phone look good in specs everything else in the phone is just crap at best.
1+2 had some nice slow motion.

Dude my zenfone2 4gb 64 nearly costs 400$.....mi3 is heavily cheaper like 200$
But the main concern is that it really sucks at slow mutton

Dude my ZenFone 2 64gb 4g ram was $269 (with free shipping) with a free ASUS 10050 mah battery bank and my mi3w cost me $289 (plus $20 shipping). If you found a mi3w for around $200 it's probably a fake with the mediatek chipset.
Don't get me wrong the Xiaomi is a great phone if you never want to hear a call in your pocket, wake up to alarm, have cell phone signal inside buildings or want to be able to lock onto GPS satellites then yeah it's a great device. It also has a poorly designed charging port that ruins your cables (ruined 3 cables already) and eventually craps out. I'm currently awaiting a new charging port to arrive from China after just 1 year of use.

By the way, the way our device does slow motion is basically the same as movies do slow motion. For example: in theaters movies play at 24fps. To achieve a slow motion scene they use a high speed camera capable of shooting up to a hundred thousand fps. So say they shot a scene at 2400fps and played it at 24fps you have slow motion. Beings our camera can't shoot hundreds of fps they shoot at the highest fps the software is capable of and lower the playback fps (30 to 6). I agree it would look a little better doing 60fps record and 12fps playback but your never going to achieve movie quality slow motion on any phone ever. Cameras like that cost thousands of dollars.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 was capable of good slow motion, i'm sure that was software based too.

maybe asus lock the camera capability ?
Oneplus one has 120fps
Anyone please help mee
I know it's late but... I can't hold it! I love how Asus puts great hardware in their phones and then ruins everything with poorly-made software that does not exploit its hardware capabilities at a maximum level. It's not only the RAW capability that's missing, but also the slow motion recording, which is a total joke! It's just a slowed-down 30 fps video. WHY ON EARTH did they do that? To keep the humongous 1080p format? I don't care if it's a 480p video as long as it's PROPERLY slowed down. (They need to reduce the format in order to increase the frame rate, to keep hardware parameters and things safe.) Just do your goddamn job and respect the hardware capabilities that YOU opted for, Asus!
Maybe they don't have a legal obligation to make hardware components available at a max level, but they definitely have a moral obligation out of respect for the customer. Even Samsung SGH-I900 (Omnia) shoots better slow motion videos, no matter if the resolution's crap! Pity, 'cause these are amazing devices that could shoot some pretty decent (even pro quality) photography or videos! The ZX551ML is a supposed "camera phone" - it shoots great pictures, but it could have been much better.
I also love how nobody knows what camera model is in the Zenfone Zoom's rear. For instance, we all know that the front camera in both models, the ZE551ML and ZX551ML, is Omnivision's OV5670, while the Zenfone 2 has a Toshiba T4K37 rear sensor. In Zenfone Zoom (ZX551ML), the hardware-information-gathering apps only show "Fujitsu MO10M" as the camera make and model, which is the image processing engine actually, not the sensor. And as to the front camera, according to Omnivision's official papers, that little bugger is capable of shooting 60 fps 1080p VIDEOS! It is also capable of shooting 120 frames per second at a 480p resolution. I see none of these things possible in Asus' implementation or default camera app... the famous PixelMaster. I don't know who is responsible for all these things but I think I'd make "great friends" with the software engineer who made this s**t.
Anything new on this? Did you find a way to unlock the real capabilities of your device? Thank you!
Hi guys,
have anyone of you tried to edit 4k video on tab s4? I edit short 4k clips on my XZ2 (S845, 4GB RAM) in Kinemaster without any problems but I'm not sure if S835 can handle it plus XZ2 has lower resolution screen so maybe even RAM wouldn't be sufficient on Tab S4.
Do you have any experience with this?
Thank you!

At least with Adobe Rush, it had issues exporting. But then again, it's Adobe Rush... ??

I personally don't use Kinemaster, but have been considering using it for a bit now. I'll give it a shot. What are you shooting your 4K footage with? DSLR? Drone? I use a Sony mirrorless NEX-5R for 1080p footage, DJI Mavic 2 Pro for 2K footage, and my OnePlus 7T Pro and Pixel 3a XL shoot at 4K (albeit, bitrate isn't as high as a DSLR or Drone)

Thank you that would be perfect as I'm shooting with XZ2 right now and going to buy S10 next month so bitrate should be comparable.
I don't care about exporting times but mostly about fluidity when editing while using transitions, text layers and music.

Yeah I'll see if I can have something in a couple of days (no promises though as I'm a dad with a job, so duty calls ??)
Any reason why you're considering a tab S4 over the six or an actual laptop?

It's because I can get S4 for 245€ but I would have to pay 510€ for S6 and I know I won't use it very often so I would rather buy S4 if it's powerful enough for 4k video editing.

Gotcha.. I'd also look into Davinci Resolve if you end up going with a PC, it's super advanced and free if you ever need it. But I'll still test it out and see how it goes

So far, exporting 1080p footage has been possible, but there's been noticable audio lag when scrubbing through your timeline. I haven't tried 4K, but I'm assuming it may struggle if I try anything higher. This is with Kinemaster specifically.

Thank you I appreciate it! I will probably go with iPad 6th gen and Lumafusion. I saw it can handle three clips of 4k video playing at once in luma and I can get it even cheaper than S4.
