Random 404 errors - About xda-developers.com

Whenever i try to post in a topic i get a 404 error first time it worked ok and the add a reply page showed up but after solving the captcha and pressing submit reply 404 page not found followed by 404 errors on the topic i was trying to post too and on all topics from that subforum too
this was only fixed after deleting the cookies
i also get random "file not found" errors on random pages too such as the login page for example
Any ideas why this is happening? I just want to ask a question about a rom why posting here must be so annoying and problematic? thank you
I also got a 404 error after trying to post this message and trying to refresh the page probably will get one trying to do this edit this is ridiculous

Are you using vpn ?

Server is overladed!
You can get this when you open treads, browes new sections or use the back arrow.
It will go away when we finish the upgrade of the site.

Invalid threads

When unsubscribing the below threads. I got this error "An invalid threadid or forumid was specified." Though the threads are there.

Are you still receiving notifications on them?
I ask because the references you give contain commands to remove the threads from your notification list. IF the command has been run, then it will return an "Invalid thread specified" if it is run again. Here is the full text of the second of your links so you can see the command.

The day before yesterday and yesterday I didn't got any notifications of the mentioned threads. Ofcourse I don't know if somebody posted a message. I will keep an eye on it.

Can't access SonyEricsson General Forum

Hi, just to let you know that when I want to choose "Device by OS or Manufacturer" and then "Sony Ericsson" and "All/Android" I have an error message saying :
"Invalid Forum specified. This can happen for a variety of reasons-- most likely because the thread or post you are trying to view has been moved or deleted. Please return to the forum home and browse for another similiar post."
I tried several times. It can't be deleted or moved as it's the general SE/Android...
Hope I'm not waisting your time.

Adding attachments not working

Trying to add an attachment to posts gives me either a blank screen, a permission denied, or a rate limited error.

Hi chainfire,i faced the error too...
I waited to the next day and it worked
Perhaps you might have got a better response posting directly in @bitpushr thread?
Still not working for me, attaching large files ...
Try again, you should be good up to 20MB.

While it no longer immediately gives an error when I press the upload button, after the entire file has been transmitted, the status bar shows "Waiting for forum.xda-dev..." forever, and the file is not actually attached to the post (the file I'm testing with is 12mb, btw).
My situation is a little different. After I click on "Manage Attachments" that. Appeared slightly greyed out or faded I am taken to where I am suppose to click on "Choose File" nothing happens?
perhaps the connection that youve got
Nope, no way that could be it. Besides it has worked for me in the past.

As a Junior member you are limited to what you can attach to threads. As you are promoted to a Sr Member you will be allowed to attach to the threads.
