[Bugs and Fixes List] MIUI ROM by Ry09iu

I have created this thread in order to help new users of this fantastic ROM to solve their problems and for make it easier for the developer to find out which bugs have to be solved and which have already been solved.
BUGS:
Mult-lang MIUI version by ingbrzy:
1. Is not possible to set another language. (fix available, look below)
MIUI version 3.10.11 by Ry09iu:
1. Google Play crashes. (fix available, look below)
2. Whatsapp crashes. (fix available look below)
3. Is not possible to change the default date format (yyyy.mm.dd) into other date formats.
4. When receiving an email or text message, if swipe on the message's notification (phone locked) it won't unlock.
5. Some problems with calls and call recording.

FIXES:
Mult-lang MIUI version by ingbrzy:
1. Just download MoreLocale2 from GooglePlay and install. Once installed open it and set your language. (Thanks to searge)
MIUI version 3.10.11 by Ry09iu:
1. Download GAPPS from here: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130812-signed.zip

TIPS:
1. Once you installed Whatsapp's old version remember to disable Google Play automatic updates!
2. If you can't understand Chinese you can use Stickman89's recovery that is in English and it is also Touch! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2417919 (Thanks to Stickman89)
3. For enabling ROOT access you have to go here: Open the "System" folder that should be in the App Drawer> Open Permissions App> chose ROOT> And turn ON Permission Manager. Now ROOT should be working.
4. If you want to write in a language that is not English or Chinese or you don't like the layout of MIUI keyboard, here is the link for the android stock keyboard APK, just download and install: http://filecloud.io/x3h4z18d

Bug in alarm clock
After it rings I choose snooze and it will ring again but if you go into alarm settings it will show that the alarm setting is disabled.
This is a bit strange.

Hi ! Great rom, but i have found some bugs. First is thst when i select date formst from settings to dd.mm.yyyy, it still shows as yyyy.mm.dd on status bar. Another is bigger, and started happen when i switched from b114 to miui. In dolphin browser, when i try to change theme or change some of the settings, it suddenly freezes and i have to stop it. I also had other problems with dolphin and miui so please make dolphin work better, because i prefer it. Good job still, jusst continue developement !

The problem with the alarm clock is this. Set it for 07.00. It rings at 07.00 and you hit snooze. Go into alarm settings and the alarm setting will say disabled but the alarm will still ring.
A bit strange don't you think?

Would like to know also if we can increase the font size on messages only. It seems to me that there is no option other than font size on general settings.

Thanks, I understood now. I added the date bug in the thread. Thank you for your help.
For the alarm I understood what happens, when you set it you should choose how many times it is repeated, if it is set to only “once" automatically will be disabled after it rings.

Multi-Language Version - Using other languages than english and chinese
I motivated ingbrzy (project leader for Multilingual MIUI on xiaomi.eu) to produce a Multi-Language version. He was pretty fast (it took him only a few hours).
After installing the new rom, many users complain that there is still only english and chinese selectable.
Don't worry. Just download MoreLocale2 from GooglePlay and install. This app gives you more priveleges and you are able to choose one of the other languages included in this rom.
I'm sure Ry09iu is going to make this multi-language feature more comfortable in next version, but so far, it is an easy workaround.
Hope to help someone on this small bug.

When I receive an email or text mesage, when my phone locked and swipe the message on notification(phone locked) it won't unlock automatically?

i faced it , its really problem :crying:

Issue on using other MIUI theme. Will revert back to default after a while.

cant hear anything sometime when i call or receive calls
Sometime when I call or receive I don't hear anything, so I have to restart phone and it works fine after.
Does anyone know anything about this bug, I think its software because restart fix it, my software is b112, is there an English update I can install ?

MIUI is not a Huawei official software and even though this ROM is based on b116 it does not contain some of the original Huawei features.

I'm sorry, but this is MIUI's bugs and fixes list, not Huawei official ROM's one. Anyway there is an official update to b116 (in some countries even b118) just check in your settings menu, in "Info about the phone" if there are any updates availible

Unfortunately it is not possible, you can change only the general font. Maybe you can try to send a PM to Ry09iu and ask to him.

No it's still same style in this build.
Im using the EU rom with the same build number.

oh nice, cant wait, notification's are the only thing that i dislike on miui.....anyone knows the release date?

You need to do a two finger swipe to reveal details for e.g. Gmail, and Nougat-style rich notifications (e.g. in-line reply) aren't available.

I read that MIUI 9 will bring face unlock. Is this already included or in closed beta?
Does anyone already have it and made some tests? Can it be tricked with images etc.?

It is a downgrade from Oreo to Nougat.
Because the last Oreo update had several major bugs..
Just the fixes we wanted. Disabled 2x zoom on portrait mode, headphones output now much louder etc.
Well Xiaomi surprises us in various ways..

If you are on Nougat version, update is recommended because this 9.2.13 version fixes many issues

Flashed it. Over 8.5.10 - there was a black Screen with Telephone reset after booting. When I click it im coming into trwp again. Tried with and without lazyflasher. Füll wipe in both cases

I'm using its smooth fast with lots of improvements but having a single bug which I faced, slow-motion & timelapse are not working properly.

Using it! Overall smooth performance. Many bugs fixes came along this update like camera portrait mode zoom fix. But custom theme and font resetting randomly after reboot is not fixed yet. Getting a lot better battery backup than 9.2.7.0. Update to this version without hesitating.

guys i m currently on 9.5.6 ... i have the zip file and update notification for 9.2.13 .. hell yeah i want to downgrade but after applying update it reboots to recovery and says install update.zip failed ...

hello everyone. iam in miui v9.2.13.0.Neimiek stable and got update other : improved system stability and optimized system performance. I have to download and install this update, my phone got recovery mode to install but there is an updated failed. and restore to before update. what should i do?

I was on Nougat and updated, havn't found any issues with it yet. No idea what's going on with so many bug reports.

Now, for such a big Firm, this is embarrassing and shameful! Seems to me that they can't decide to go or not to go on global market! Unbelievable!

Now i have impression that i have bought development board, not even a relatively finished product but something what is still for R&D department!
So sad and big minus, at least in my eyes but who cares, i have give them my money and that's all that is important, in other words it's my own fault!

Me too. I had Oreo straight out the box and got the downgrade notification and it failed.
This Oreo version isn't bad, the only thing I'm really miffed with is hotspot not working.
If that was working don't see too much of an issue staying on Oreo tbh

So, I changed my ROM from Global to EEA (12.0.18) successfully and when I checked for updates, there is one that will change everything to Android 11. Is it safe to update or just hold off for now?

It should be safe. If you want to be extra safe, don't lock the bootloader, so you could reflash if the process bricks it. Not many people did the carrier switch, so we don't have that much experience in that matter...

Gestures navigation doesn't work for me post update.
Really disappointing tbh.
Tried multiple things like miui optimization but still didn't work.
Since other bugs but mostly the same. I think if you're fine currently hold on the update.

Yes, having to user the stock launcher to get gestures is very, very annoying. That Xiaomi removes a fundamental feature like that makes me much less happy with them as a company.

It's not xiaomi, unfortunately. It's google... That is android 11 limitation, and every android 11 phone has the same issue...

It was a careless decision to go to android 11.
Xiaomi DID NOT test the compatibility of the features on it's devices before releasing the update.
It is not only the gestures bug...
Second space is not working anymore. And people who hat this feature set, just lost their data.
The "end" button in phone calls often not responding.. Randomly.

Question I keep getting a notification of Xiaomi EU weekly rom Update that I have already flashed !

I did flash the latest xiaomi eu weekly update 21.6.30 but for some reason I keep getting a notification saying there's a new update, same as the one I have "21.6.30"
Is this some kind of an update of some stuff that were missing from the first one or what ?
