Google Play on Honor 7x -- is it possible? [EMUI 5.1 | Android 7.0]

I just purchased a new Honor 7x in Shenzhen and none of the APK files from apkmirror seem to work. I continue to get a "Install core GMS packages to use Google Play Store"
Does anyone have idea what to do?

It is, but it doesn't work on the 7x.
I've tried the GO installer and the GMS installer, but nothing works.
Any ideas?

Really? What did you do? Everything is in Chinese, I may be missing a step.
I also can't find Google Contacts in HiApps, I wonder if that is the problem.

Hi, I have the same problem with my chinese Huawei Honor 7x. It runs EMUI 5.1 and Adroid 7.0. The model is BND-AL10 compilation BND-AL10C00B123. I really hope soon we can have the solution to this problem. The phone is great and I'm very happy with it but I really need Google runing in my phone. Thanks for all the help you can share!!

it definitely is possible, cause I'm running all the google apps on mine. When I ordered it from aliexpress the seller said that he would unpack the original phone and install the language packs and the google play store app on it and that's how I got it.
Sorry, is no help for you guys who're trying to do it themselves but for others wanting to get one, look out for that before hitting the 'buy' button.

There is problem with certificates . how to deal with this? Or, if that possible, kindly, can you give onther GmsCore that is certified to install it in honor 7x device ?

Also had this problem with the certificate. Tried to find how to fix it, but it seems like it's not very straight forward.

, than update Play Store app from Huawei "AppGallery" and you are good to go.

Bit confused by this post my l24 came with gApps preinstalled? Bought off of Amazon brand new lol

It's because in China and some other regions they don't allow Google apps. You got the L24, which I too have, and of course has Google apps (GApps) installed, duh

I have Honor 7X BND-AL10C00B123 from Ali Express too. No update since March. Are we going to get any updates?

I can't state 100% since I've never needed a separate apk for the LineageOS Firmware myself.
I'm not 100% sure if you need only one of them or both of them but, here's what I had found.
1) Lineage OS Phone 19.0
It states "19.0" but, that's the Phone apk version and not the LineageOS/Android version.
You'll notice the "Target: Android 8.1 (Oreo, API 27)"

2) Call Management 8.1.0 (Android 8.1+)
Please Note again the "Target: Android 8.1 (Oreo, API 27)".
Also, don't worry about the "There's a newer version available below!" notice because it refers to an updated version date for the "Target: Android 7.1 (Nougat MR1, API 25)" app.

I want to buy a chinese Mate 20 X but i read on alyexpress this :
"Because the Google company prohibit the user installing GMS by themselves,for chinese firmware, after upgrading to EMUI9.0 (Android 9.0), the Google Play services will stop working,we suggest you don`t update the new firmware to EMUI 9.0 (Andoird 9.0)..or choose Global Firmware,Global firmware no problem."
Does it mean i can t have Gapp with android 9 on chinese version ?
Can i change firmware to global version ? if i can i need to unlock bootloader i presume ?

Rubbish
Google is working on China and global version.
China version stick with China region on setup in appgallery, then search for Google play, it'll show up, then update it. For some annoying reason it's installed but hidden it china mate 20 X version
Maybe OK Google won't work properly on China version. That's about it really

so why they write this thing ??? if we can udpate to android 9 and playstore works fine ?

Im using chinese mate 20 X phone. Every Huawei phones has gms by default. There is no need to install anything. Just login in your Google account from settings thats it

Buddy, mate 20x default comes with Android 9.0 (Pie); EMUI 9 buy Chinese ROM if you have the patience to do a lot of modifications etc..
else, please buy the international variant and use it as out of the box.

The chinese version is easy to buy on aliexpress but for international version it s hard. Someone know some shop where i can buy it and send to France ?

Not google play in Chinese version
I am honor 8x owner. Hv updated to emui9.0 .failed to run google play. Tried many ways. emui 8.x runs well.Has backed to 8.2

Mate 20X isn't Honor 8x!! I have the China version 20x (EVR-AL00) and as stated earlier it comes with EMUI 9.0.0 pre-installed and had to install playstore via Huawei's app store then install thw Google apps I wanted. And everything worked. That was before I unlocked the bootloader (jumped on getting a code early and before code db got closed) and have been running globalized custom rom ever since. Now Ressurrection Remix rom just released this morning for 20x and will give this amazing phone the AOSP support it deserves.

Not every google apps are working, like google assistant and google location history, the other apps work great.

Someone said that the GMS has been installed in expensive phone of Huawai, such like mate20,p20.... . But not for the cheap phone - honor 8x. So Mate 20x can install google play directly.
My honor 8x /emui 8.2 can install google play after I installed the GMS . But I can't find the GMS installer for emui 9.0.

Hi guys, I wonder has someone with global or Europe rom converted to hydrogen os? What is need to do so?
With hydrogen is it possible to install Google Pico just to have the playstore?

Mainly updates faster, not being so dependent of Google services. Also seen some photos and videos and it seems some visual differences are bether

sorry bro but updating your android version doesn`t make the game to work or make downloable in play store because is a hardware limitation problem
you need at least and Quad Core Armv8+ processor (ok)
2GB of ram and 16GB of internal memory (j2 prime has 1.5GB)
and android 5.0.2 (Wild Rift works in any device with 6.0.1)

That requires arm64 (64-bit) and this is clearly just arm (32-bit). Also, the phone's specs won't cut it unfortunately. No ROMs beyond Marshmallow (6.0.1) for the J7P as well.

You can download a 32 bit version of WildRift. Next hoy have to increase the internal memory with App2SD. I've made it work that way.
