Here it is:
Your phone's Original CSC is Uzbekistan (CAC) and someone tried flashing the SEE (South Eastern Europe) firmware on it. You most likely won't be getting OTA's till the time you flash the Original CSC firmware or do a full rebranding incase you wanna change the region.

Wait for the next month to see if you get the OTA push. If you bought it sealed pack from an Authorized shop, then nothing to worry. May be it was done during production or something new beyond my thought. Usually, all the 4 CSC codes should be same. The first 2 change as of when other region firmwares are flashed but the last 2 can't be changed w/o root as they are hard coded.
Ideally your CSC code should have been
CAC/CAC, CAC/CAC.
You'll have to wait for the firmware for your region as for the updated ones aren't available.

Ok.
I'll give it a try and wait till next (this) month to receive update... We'll see.
Maybe can give me some link to read how to change all codes to bee all SEE/SEE, SEE/SEE or something form my country/region (and what do You suggest of a codes?)?
TNX
You can't change all the 4 codes w/o root and there's no need for that. The first 2 would change and they should be uniform to receive the OTA i.e SEE/SEE, CAC/CAC.
Likewise it shouldn't be CAC/SEE, CAC/CAC or SEE/CAC, CAC/CAC
Download the latest firm for SEE from Samfirm (tool) or Updato.com if its availaible and flash it through Odin while Choosing the CSC file and avoiding the Home_CSC file. You'll have to extract the 5 firmware files from the single tar firmware. Backup your data as the tool will format the complete phone and don't forget to take out your simcard before you start the flash.

Not 100% sure but it might denote NFC model. European models come with the NFC chip. Mine doesn't have the NFC chip and my model no is SM-A505F.

The primary CSC of you device is XEO (Poland). You'll have to wait as well to see if you receive the push. Apparently, for now there aren't much firmwares available for the FN devices. Flashing a F device firmware would mean loosing the NFC Functionality.

Most of the EU is still waiting for the updates. The ones that would have received might be carrier devices. Just a matter of patience and you'll get the update. Moreover, if any of the FN devices receives the update, you can manually flash it.

As i saw, there are no SEE or a XEO update for sm-a505fn/ds. Looked at SamFirmware or at Updato... Only firmwares for Sri Lanka, India and Sudi Arabia... and just for sm-a505f phone model.
Still waiting

What? Indian variant doesn't have NFC? Even my Moto G5 Plus (Indian variant) has NFC despite being a smartphone with market dependent NFC support.

Hi, I just bought a galaxy note II for hong kong but the firmware installed on it is one from chinese origin --'
Is it possible for me to flash an european firmware on it? I have many apps that come in chinese, and this sucks ><

Samfirmware and grab a firmware from your area its a international note 2 so your fine

Like above said. Go to www.samfirmware.com, then go to "Firmwares and Files", choose Model and whichever country you want, and download it. Then, use Odin to flash it into your phone. Simple.
Your phone should be the international note 2. The model is "GT-7100 - Galaxy Note II".
Do you need to be rooted first before flashing a new ROM?
I am receiving a Chinese version tomorrow (UK), and was wandering if I could just change the CSC code and get get rid of anything that's in chinese language?

If your phone doesn't have 4G (LTE), then it's the international version, GT - N7100.
I had purchased a supposedly international unlocked LG g3 D855 32gb from eBay. Currently I am running kitkat 4.4.2 rooted rom which came pre-installed on the phone and it's rooted. There is no update center on my phone.
Underneath the battery it's written "MADE IN KOREA"
Now I want to update it to lollipop or may be marshmallow but the problem is that I can't find which version of rom to flash as there are lots of D855 models in market there is European version, Korean version, Hong Kong version, Indian version. There is no clear indication on the box or on the phone abt the version is there any sure shot way of knowing what rom should I flash as I can't take risk of hard / soft bricking the phone. I am attaching screen shot of software version.
Please help

Hi
LG G3 D855 is the European version of the G3. Download LG Phone From app and run it and it will inform you of your phone details. There are 2 serial nos. the 2nd one will give you the phone region/carrier e.g. My G3 has AGBRVK which designates UK Virgin Mobile.
Hope this helps.

You have to ensure your model number before update otherwise you will brick your phone ?

In xda if you search you will find lots of refubrish Lg g3 phone, basically D850 or ls990 model number and they use their recovery model firmware for successful update. Basically what i understand seller did nothing special he root the phone edit build.prop file to change model number and other information . Before selling he just unroot or uninstall supersu. But flashing is up to you , if you know how to flash phone or want to take chance than you can try it, otherwise just ignore it.

I had pretty much written off Samsung as an option for a new phone due to the locked boot loader and lack of root for the US versions of the phones. The last time I checked only the Exynos versions were unlockable.
I was visiting this forum and saw this section with Snapdragon has been added. But it seems to be limited to the SM-G9650. The US version from T-Mobile is the SM-G965U.
What is the current situation? If I want to operate on T-Mobile, can I purchase the SM-G9650, install TWRP, install T-Mobile stock ROM, and then Magisk?

Correct.
You can use the snapdragon variant sm-g9650 on us carriers.
Myself and several others are already running it on vzwy and TMO right now.
But you can't install a stock TMO rom without some work. There will be custom roms coming very soon.

I'm not opposed to custom ROMs, but I have found that they are often missing Wi-Fi Calling, which I use extensively.
Thus I tend to stick with stock to make sure I have those features..
When you say "some work", what do you mean? Are there any guidelines? I searched this forum for T-Mobile and found this thread that said "you need a patched Odin". Is that all?

By some work I mean you can't just Odin US firmware to a chinese model. You stand the risk of hard bricking.
So you would need a custom rom for sure. As fast as WiFi calling not working? I don't know what rom you've been using but it works on @stang5litre custom rom [emoji41]

I wasn't aware that the SM-G9650 is a chinese version. I've also seen a model SM-G965U1 available on Amazon and elsewhere. They say "unlocked" but don't say whether that means SIM or Bootloader unlocked. If they were bootloader unlocked, then would they be able to use the TMO stock ROM directly?

Yes but they're not unlocked in the sense of a bootloader unlock.
Anytime you see an advertisement that says Unlocked, it typically means carrier/sim unlocked.
Only the 0 model can be bootloader unlocked.

I'm still trying to make a decision on which way to go. I like the S9, but not happy about having to pay full retail price and not get a warranty. My track record for Samsung hardware is pretty bad. I'm on my fifth Note 4 - the first four had various hardware problems from power button failure to "black screen of death" failure, and were replaced under warranty.
I've been thinking about the OnePlus 6T. It's bootloader unlocked and has a more reasonable price, but I'm really turned off by the proprietary charging and lack of 3.5mm headphone.
One question I forgot to ask: Can anyone confirm Band 71 Support for the SM-G9650 and SM-G9600? As I research this question, I'm getting mixed results.

As far as I can tell, the SM-G9600 does not support Band 71.
I don't know which spec sources are authoritative, but I see it is not listed as supported at these sites: phonemore, gsmarena, bhphotovideo, and devicespecifications.com
I cannot find any authoritative source that says B71 is supported.
Summary of my research on the G9600 as the only known root-capable Samsung S9 phone:
Substantially more expensive (than S9 US versions, or OnePlus 6T) --- strike 1
No Warranty --- strike 2
No Band 71 (and many other bands missing) --- strike 3, you're out!
So I guess it's back to OnePlus and trying to hack a way around their fast charging issues....
I do not really understand, does it matter which country firmware I use? I live in the USA and use TMobile for service on my tablet so I'd like the best firmware to match that. Will a US SM-T835 firmware work on my SM-T835N? I know it's not released yet, but I can wait. Or do I need the Korean update for my model?
Thanks in advance.
Note that US version is T837 instead of T835 so there might be a difference in ROM partition.
I believe someone on XDA flashed T835 firmware on T835N but there doesn't seem to be any additional confirmation.

I think whoever can answer my question can also answer yours. I don't fully understand it, but I think we can use other country cirmeare but need the proper CSC file.
I am not sure tho, hopefully someone chimes in.
Hello everyone.
After succesfully changed my branded S22 from MEO (Portugal) for the unbranded EUX two months ago I'm not receiveing EUX OTA's despite it's release.
I always tend to flash the firmware through ODIN after 2/3 days of waiting.
I know I'm not alone in this matter as I saw other users with the same problem at this forum. Some help on this would be highly appreciatted.
Edit: This only happens if you change from a carrier branded firmware to EUX or EUY unbranded firmwares using any tool, not exclusive to Samkey or Samfw free tool. Smartswitch don't detect any update too.If you jump between branded CSC's you still get OTA's.Some configuration may be needed to get OTA's for EUX CSC if it didn't came as EUX from factory, but until now no clues.
Thanks

Hello,
I'm in the same boat as a lot of S21Fe-S22 owners...
Since my switch from CSC SFR (France) to EUX on my S22 Ultra SM-S908B, no OTA update. I originally was on the SFR_AVDA firmware. Now I'm stuck on the EUX_AVDB (manually flashed with Odin before CSC switch) firmware while the AVEH is available since more than a week now.
Got the same issue, I've got EUX/-/EUX/TNL and still on May update. There are 2 June updates out, latest is AVF1

HI,
#metoo, i'm on EUX/-/EUX/TNL, but no update for me.
Flashed my s22 ultra today with S908BXXU2AVEH_S908BOXM2AVEH_EUX , only to note that there's a new update for it (S908BXXU2AVF1_S908BOXM2AVF1_EUX downloading as i write).
Has it something to do with the CSC being TNL?
Any change we can change the CSC? (I don't know how. Any help is welcome)
Used home_csc when flashing?

Tried the CSC_OXM_S908BOXM2AVEH_MQB52436288_REV01_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar, same result and still on EUX/-/EUX/TNL

With home_csc you'll keep the same
But what happens if you use the other csc file, it will wipe data, but will it make EUX/-/EUX/EUX? (If you leave out your sim card)

As far as I know, CSC just wipe the device for a clean install. HOME_CSC keeps them as a classic OTA.
I have tried both, and same results.
In fact, you can't change the two last CSC codes, they are hardcoded and are just indicative. The only codes which really matter are active ones. The 2 first so.
The last is the original CSC code of the device, and the one before is the selling region the phone is destined.

Than I wonder why I didn't receive the June update, while some others already received 2 June updates
I guess I'll have to manually update my phone to the latest firmware.
I did have OTA's twice.

Nobody know.. That's strange, never had any issue with S21+ and before. But it seems to be problematic (for OTA) since S21Fe and more.
Just to be sure, did you get any previous OTA before these last two ones (with CSC modified) ? Or never since the switch ?

When I got the phone, there was already an OTA, but I didn't get it.
So I flashed with Odin. After that I had 2 OTA's, one 3 days after the people who get it immediately and May OTA I had the same day. But no OTA now.

Yes, because I used samkey in March and got the May update in May.
I get failed immediately when I try to flash with Odin.. usb debugging is enabled. Using home_csc
SW rev check failed device 0x2 binary 0x1
Maybe I found the problem, with Frija I got U1 firmware and with SamFirm I get U2 firmware..
Do I need to unlock bootloader, to flash firmware with Odin? @Hoekkiepa

Ok thank you, i guess there is some hope if you get an OTA after Samkey. Or maybe they've been blocked by Samsung since May update..
Ps : Right. You can't flash(/downgrade) a X1 on a X2 firmware.
