Bit perfect - Shield Android TV General

Is there an application enabling bitperfect streaming for media files like YouTube so that no up or down sampling is done?
This exists for audio only streaming: USB player pro apk. This allows me to do upsampling in the DAC or playing NOS, very useful for hirez audio files.
Audio signal goes out on USB to my audio stereo system and video signal goes straight to my TV by hdmi

[Q] HDMI experience - audio out problem

I have been playing with HDMI out. Using official Samsung adapter EPL3FHU and TV Panasonic TH-42PX80E. So far I cannot get out audio consistently.
When connected first time, I had system sound off, so I could see picture, but no audio (form system) as expected. When playing movie with BSPlayer, VLC, or MX I got audio out of built-in speaker though (and not through TV).
Reconnected with system sound on, I could get system plonks and boings out of TV. Playing songs from Neutron was fine as well. Even playing original Samsung demo video via VLC produced sound on TV.
Then I tried one .mkv with DTS (which plays fine in BSPlayer with sound on internal speaker) and the sound through HDMI stopped working. Then I tried again Neutron, VLC, but I could not get even the apps that were working, working them again. System sounds are fine though.
And so far I was not able to recover.
It looks like there are some incompatibilities, probably between some players, sound formats which break one part of sound path (but not all, as system clicks are still transported correctly). And this break seems to be kind of permanent, until some reset. But simple reboot does not solve this.
I wonder what I might be missing.
I can partially reply to myself. The problem is that some players (it seems BSPlayer, and MX do that) cannot play DTS through HDMI (though BSPlayer can play it through internal speaker) and for some reason it resets volume settings for multimedia to zero (i.e. no sound). Once I realized that and "reenabled" volume for multimedia, it seems fine for Neutron, VLC and system sounds.
VLC can even play DTS through HDMI out, but for some reasons suffers from sound being out of sync with video.
So now the question remains, what is good video player, which can get out DTS through HDMI out.
Have you been able to get multichannel audio out HDMI?

Fire TV Box (Gen 1) w/ Kodi 15.2: DD+ works, but No Signal for DTS

I rooted my Fire TV box and am running a pre-rooted 51.1.6.3_user_516012020 firmware.
Installed Kodi 15.2 and connected it to my NAS drive. Most of my movie library consist of audio in Dolby Digital and DTS. Never had an issue playing my movies over my previous modified WDTV Live box while connected to my Yamaha RX-V467 audio receiver using HDMI from box to receiver and receiver to TV. The receiver supports Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD.
Running Kodi I can get Dolby Digital Plus with no issues, but playing any movies that have DTS makes my receiver display PCM with only 2 channels. If I manually switch the receiver to DTS decoding, I don’t get any sound, not even that white noise that most people mention. The receiver displays “No Signal”. I have enabled/disabled the pass-through with no luck. I have audio channels set to 2. In the Fire TV settings, I have tried both auto and the manual DD+ over HDMI. I also tried using an optical cable while making sure I changed the audio setting in the Fire TV to recognize this change, but it also didn’t make any difference.
I thought I read somewhere that the native apps on the Fire TV support DD+ and DTS, so I opened a trial account with Netflix, selected the tier with HD and Ultra HD. I mean it’s free for one month, why not select the best option they have. I noticed Netflix only states whether a movie is in 5.1 surround sound or stereo. It doesn’t show you the specific audio format. So I played a movie with 5.1 audio and my receiver told me it was DD+. Okay, so that’s good, but I already knew it played DD+ from using Kodi earlier. My next issue was finding a movie that uses DTS on Netflix. I googled and found a list of movies that have DTS. Yet every movie that I searched for on Netflix (at least 10) was not found. Does Netflix not offer movies that have DTS audio? If not, that is just sad because there are a bunch of good movies.
Anyone have any suggestions to test DTS audio from the home screen of the Fire TV, or better yet, how to resolve DTS “No Signal” when using Kodi?
Thank you!

Getting USB Audio Support for external DACs

Hi -
I know that Android these days has relatively decent USB audio support, when connecting an external DAC.
On the Google Pixel I'm connecting a Fiio Q1 external DAC and sometimes it skips in songs, as if it's a scratched CD, when playing through Spotify. I know there is an app (USB Audio Player Pro) which will provide proper support for playing audio through an external DAC, but only if you use that app as the player. So will not work when streaming from services such as Spotify.
I believe this is mainly due to sample rate conversion, which apparently Android does by default, instead of matching the actual sample rate (e.g. 44.1 KHz CD quality will get upsampled to 48 KHz, an unnecessary step).
Is there a way to get better support, perhaps through modding the stock ROM, or installing a custom ROM? Is this a kernel issue? Or a ROM issue?
Thanks.

app that can capture streamed audio

looking for a non root option to get audio streams recordable at a decent quality

Find solution of 5.1 audio out from netflix and prime in andorid tv

Netflix and prime stream a video in eac3 format where as old receiver support ac3 . and this app need hdmi connection for 5.1 audio. Step 1 enable arc and cec set digital audio out to auto step 2 you find no sound means multichannel audio stream then again disable arc in receiver. And play again and find 5.1 surround sound come through optical out. Note if not work then force stop the app. Do the same procedure especaily in Amazon netflix and hotstar. Thanks kumarswamy.
