I really love cyanogen Ive used it since day 1 on the motorola defy, installing every update, including nightlys, Rescently T-mobile made there WIFI-calling app FREE for US customers, and i was wondering if there is a way you can restore it in the ROM, and make it work, if you can that would make it absolutely awesome.. FREE calling on your own phone number and not losing minutes is a huge plus for me and im sure lots of people. the app came preinstalled to android 2.1 on the motorola defy, unfortunately this rom doesnt contain it i've tried to download the app and it FC's so if anyone knows anything or can help or contact Quarx about it please do i don't have access to developers section.
Hi All,
In parallel of more than 60 pages of questions, issues raised, solutions brought, and new issues raised, I'm getting confused on how I can get my google functions (maps, gmail, play, etc.) on my freshly purchased Chinese N7102, without bringing in new issues (no more camera, 2nd sim slot not usable, etc.).
Therefore I'd like to call for our N7102 experts to make an update & summary of the situation, so that everybody could see here in a few pages what is feasible, what is not. Thanks in advance for your precious answers !
The different questions I have in mind would be:
- Any perfect solution to get a fully running N7102, with google services, with dual sim cards, and without side effect and major loss (e.g. no more camera, no persisting reboot issue) ? If so, which Rom is doing that?
- Otherwise, which Rom is the more stable, and what are the negative side effects of this Rom? Can the N7100 Roms be used, without losing any function, especially dual sim cards?
- For non expert, as there are several parameters in flashing a Rom, can you recall the exact procedure to follow in order to flash ? Also, does it need Root?
Thanks a lot,
Snokoflan

Hopefully someone could have a rom for it.
Thanks

Please help us
I'm really interested in this thread. I live in Italy and I'd like to know what I have to do to install Italian language on my note2 n7102, how I can use play store and all the others apps, without loosing the dual sim function. Which rom do I need to install? Is there someone that can explain the right procedure, starting from where to download rom and all the others apps that can be installed on the phone? Thanks in advance for your help.
Ok so even if I too am interested in the answers to these questions, there is no response till now.

Need a working/compatible playstore playservices apk for this too, already updated to the latest stock rom, but cant find any working apk for play store,
Hey guys, just registered on XDA, been lurking for some time playing around with various mods for the Nexus and GS3. This question is however related to the NFC capabilities of MROM by mmontuori found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2172271&nocache=1
If anyone is using it is the menu option just hidden like the developer options were or is this functionality that has just not been implemented yet? I would like to use Google Wallet as I did previously on CM10. I have flashed GWallet and installed the APK on to my GS3 but have not yet been able to use it since installing MROM as there is no option to enable NFC under system wireless settings.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, cheers!
Bumping for great justice because the ROM author is not responsive.
I'm running the F400S in the UK with the stock LG rom updated to 20G / Lollipop v5.0 updated by the LG PC Suite.
Unfortunately despite the rom being the official LG version, it doesn't seem to run great, has a few bugs and there's no real support forum for LG owners on the LG website.
I started having a look around last night at alternatives and I can see that there isn't a Cyanogen 12 / 12.1 rom for the F400S which is a shame. I have seen an unofficial Cyanogen mod for the F400S on the forums here, but I've also seen the Dark Knight 5.5 rom.
Cyanogen would be ideal but I see little point in installing an unsupported rom that is likely to ever be updated [which is pretty much what I have now], so I'm leaning towards Dark Knight, unless there are any other that are worth looking at?
Also, I'm in two minds as to whether I want Root or not. I use the Barclays Mobile Banking app which doesn't like rooted handsets. I'm guessing I could upgrade to a rooted custom rom, try the Barclays app with something like RootCloak and a few other tools, if it works great then leave the device rooted, but if not then remove root?
I'd be happy with a fairly vanilla Android rom [previous handset was a Nexus 4] as I don't need all the bloat that the F400S ships with. Root would be nice so I can tinker but not essential, I'd prefer my banking app to work primarily. It would also be nice to be to do card payments via NFC and an NFC app, but sadly the EE 'Cash on Tap' won't install on the F400S either because it's an unsupported device, or because of something software related. My bank also don't provide a card payments app so if anyone has any thoughts regarding that it would be appreciated.
Just looking for some sound advice please

You won't find one bug free. I suggest installing the ported Neo S3 UI and Tab4 TouchWiz. They are cleaner and have better look and hidden options.
I also edited my system.db file and my settings list to tab list.
You can look for Tab4 keyboard and use Xposed with Wanam xposed to tweak and customize the tablet.
If battery life Is a problem... you can try my mod using disable service. It will add up to 4 hrs more battery time and make the tablet smoother.
For myself I am happy with 4.4.2 and see no benefit going to any other android version. Though i use my tablet as a tool not a do everything device like a phone. Meaning it don't sync with Google, yet you can sync with Samsung. If you do use Google apps, they are not as connected, so things are controlled by the user not what google does in background.
