Hope someone out there can save me.
Got a “new” SM-707A, updated to 5.0.2, all good. By pure stupidity I turned on Reactivation Lock, then I proceed to try to flash a new rom.
Odin was falling (obviously, now that I know the lock prevents flashing), I made a couple of reboots to OS, all was still good, then decide to try a different tar file, and things got bad.
The lock DOES NOT prevent a cache.img to be flashed, but it does the rest. Result? I CAN NO LONGER BOOT.
Now that I know all I have to do is to boot and disable the lock, I can’t boot. Tablet goes into that message saying to recover by Kies (but Kies does not recognize the tab bricked).
So Tab does not boot, and tab does not allow a ROM to be flashed. But I think the issue was that I flashed the cache.img and somehow the Tab got confused.
So I need either a stock or an empty cache.img, I tried some I found for T705, but none worked (I manage to flash them, but phone still does not boot).
Anyone has the stock firmware 5.0.2 for 707A?
Thank you all for your help .

You don't need either. Just boot to recovery and wipe cache.
However I doubt that is the issue.
You probably need to factory reset in recovery.
What was in the cache.img?
Ashyx is right. Unless you screwed your system partition you should be able to factory reset via recovery and reboot.
Sorry, i forgot to add, i cannot boot into recovery. I have no clue why, but Power+UP+Home does not work.
I do not know what was in the cache.img (i tried to flash others, it flashes, but same result), and i cannot find an editor for android 5.x img files (at least not for windows).

I highly doubt anything is preventing you from getting into recovery. It's likely user error.
It's HOME + VOL UP + POWER, hold in that order to enter recovery.
Getting "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly"
Hey guys
I tried playign with the new magisk. Decided to factory reset and ran the script, and keep getting:
Getting "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly"
Any suggestions? I thought factory reset, literally reset everything...
Thanks in advance

A factory reset erases the partition where user data is stored. It does not touch any other partition. You're getting that message because the phone detects that the boot image is no longer stock. If you want to undo the changes you have made, you'll have to flash the stock Google image.
Ok, SO teh message is normal?
I flashed factory 8.0.0, and I get the same message,

I haven't had a chance to test Magisk on this phone yet (I returned mine and am waiting on the replacement) but when I've used Magisk in the past, the first boot took a really long time. Give it like 10 minutes or so. If it never makes it past that, something went wrong and you should flash the stock image.
Oh wait, you get the same message if you flash the stock image? Well in that case, I'm not sure what's wrong. You may need to re-lock the bootloader before that message goes away, but make sure you're on 100% stock software before that happens. It might have something to do with the fact that Pixel devices have A and B firmware slots, so if you bring A back to stock, B might still have the Magisk patched image on it. Someone more familiar with Pixel devices should chime in.

Well, to clarify...
I was able to get Magisk to run fine. But decided I wanted fresh stock image, so went to flash stock google image, flash went fine, but at reboot i get the same thing. could this be a slot issue?

I'm thinking so. I'm not sure what the proper procedure is for designating which slot you're flashing to on the Pixel 2's, but it's possible that you now have 1 slot with stock firmware and 1 slot with the Magisk patched image. For the original Pixel devices, the partition names were boot_a and boot_b. So I think, and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, fastboot flash boot <file> will flash the file to whichever slot is active, but using boot_a and boot_b will flash to those designated slots. So to fix your issue, you need to make sure that both boot_a and boot_b contain stock images.
Keep in mind that I've never owned a Pixel before now (although I'm pretty comfortable with flashing other android devices), and I'm not 100% sure about this, so you might not want to take my advice.
relock the bootloader.
Here is what I did:
Fastboot flashing lock
fastboot flashing lock_critical
then tried running the flash-all.bat, got FAILED being it was locked
SO then I ran
Fastboot flashing unlock
fastboot flashing unlock_critical
ran flash-all.bat, seemed to have gone fine. Phone reboots, then after you get the circle, where it says "erasing", after about 10 seconds it reboots and says "your device is corrupt..."
Ughhh, I hope I didn't brick this thing???
sorry guys, im an ass, i thought i was using teh latest fastboot, but apparently, not
all is good. I wish I was able to delete this thread

Make sure you have the latest version of adb and fastboot from the developer site.
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html
I got the message as soon as I unlocked the bootloader. It's normal
I had this issue with old platform tools and could not get my device to boot no matter how many times I flash-all'ed or changed the current boot slot. Upgrade to the latest platform tools and run the flash-all from that directory. If it's still not working, I also unlocked critical: fastboot flashing unlock_critical , so that the flash-all could flash my bootloader as well.
Like some have said already. This message appears every time you boot after you unlock your bootloader, whether you are still running stock OS or not. Same thing happened on my 6P. Only way to get it to go away is relocking the bootloader. Don't worry though, your device isn't really corrupt. Just a scare tactic by Google.

This is somewhat true. There are 2 different messages. One that says you are running unsupported software and the color is orange. This message pops up on every boot while the bootloader is unlocked. The other message says your device is corrupt, in red. The phone will not boot. I just ran into this issue while trying to flash the november update
EDIT:
I was able to resolve this by updating adb/fastboot. I updated adb/fastboot before but i guess i did it on my other computer.
So was there any way to fix this without having to relook the bootloader? I've already had to set this phone up a second time after the longest marathon session of trying to get both TWRP and magisk to live happily together on this device, so I'd rather not do it again if it's avoidable.
Literally all I did to cause this is press the button in TWRP to switch to slot A, and after rebooting I immediately got the new scarier message that requires a power button press to boot, after which you get the regular nag about the unlocked BL. The device then hung at the Google padlock screen, so I used the buttons to reboot into BL then tried TWRP. TWRP then hung at the splash screen, so I hooked up to the PC and fastboot booted TWRP. When I tried to switch back to B, strangely, it said I already was. I pressed the button to switch to B anyway, then rebooted. The error happened again, but at least the device boots. I tried rebooting again to see if it had cleared up, but unfortunately not.
I would really like to be rid of this without having to start over. I do have a nandroid but I don't even know if I trust a restore to be successful and potentially make **** worse. Thanks in advance!

I was able to switch back and forth between the slots with fastboot. I thought maybe I was getting the error because they had two different boot images installed, so I backed up my boot on side B, and then restored it to slot A. No dice. I still get the error message.

I'm trying to prevent having to use the warranty if I don't have to as this was just a mistake on my part.
I've tried going completely back to stock removing TWRP and everything and I'm in the stock recovery right now with the error that says:
"Can't load Android system. Your data may be corrupt. If you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory reset and erase all user data stored on this device."
Which I've done twice now (since going back to stock bootloader) and nothing happens.
These are the steps I took-
downloaded factory ota image.
flashed flash-all.bat
moved boot.img to adb directory and flashed boot image on both a & b slots
ran flash-all.bat again (just in case)
start up & get the loading G screen that either never stops loading or refreshes to this screen with the error above.
I tried locking the bootloader and that just caused a "no os" error. So I unlocked it, re-ran flash-all.bat and now I'm back with this error. I mean at least I can get into the bootloader & recovery?
I'm going to try pressing the 'try again' about 20 times in a row. I saw something online that said pressing try again that many times it randomly worked. I'm still searching and trying to figure this out but that is going to be my next step while I search.
I posted this on reddit about an hour ago but still no responses so I wanted to reach out here as well.
Just for more information: I am able to get into stock recovery & bootloader just fine. It is just the OS that doesn't want to load. I have factory reset this thing more times than I can count. I've tried flashing the images google has up. I did the very first one and the 8.1.0.
Neither are working & I don't understand why. The ones that are listed here.
Just for kicks here is a screenshot of the whole window and what happens during the flashing in the flash-all.bat. Here they are.
HELP?
While I was doing those screenshots I fixed it! I downloaded 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.011, Dec 2017) just for the heck of it since the others weren't working. Figured it wouldn't hurt anything, would just cause the same error to appear and it took longer to install, which I figured was good, AND NOW I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE STARTUP SCREEN! WOO!

You tried fastbooting the "factory OTA image" Well, that mistake number one. Just use the stock factory image, not the OTA.
Never mind.?
Congrats on fixing it.
For future reference, and if you ever reset your phone again, you should perform: fastboot flashing unlock_critical <--this will wipe your phone!
As you can see in your screenshots, that failed, each time. This was the cause of your failure(s): FAILED (remote: Flashing is not allowed for Critical Partitions)
The last one worked because it flashed the proper bootloader (TMZ12a). Had you not used that image, it still would have failed.
What was your fix?
@DudeThatsErin -As mentioned by uicnren, you still need to unlock_critical or your phone will not upgrade properly, and you won't be able to flash full factory images. When you unlocked your bootloader, there were two steps but you only completed the first one. See the sticky by Nathan for step-by-step instructions. Unlocking critical will wipe the phone again, but then you will be set.
So, being the stupid person I am I broke my Mate SE one day after purchase ._. I'm posting my entire process just in case anything helps.
I started off by updating to the latest ROM and then unlocking the bootloader, which went fairly well, then flashed TWRP. A lot of versions I found didn't work(Bootloader says Func NO: 11 (recovery image) and Error NO: 2 (load failed!)), but I got a working version here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7x/development/oreo-twrp-complete-backup-t3764500 .
After that, I installed Magisk, which went well, then Xposed framework inside Magisk, which put my phone in a bootloop. I didn't know what to do, so I went with a factory reset[terrible idea]. Now, my phone has the FRP lock on, and the android setup is stuck on a "just a sec" page, right after selecting language and wifi, so I can't login to my google account to disable the FRP lock.
I tried flashing, but apparently the FRP lock stops me from being able to flash anything inside the bootloader. I do still have my TWRP recovery and a backup of the kernel and ramdisk(sadly nothing else useful, although I do also have dts, dfx, vendor_image, oeminfo and secure_storage) but restoring them or wiping the system again has no effect(still stuck on "just a sec").
After some google searching someone in a thread said that I should use stock recovery to wipe factory data(by restoring the stock recovery in TWRP), and I would be able to get past the "just a sec" problem, but I am reluctant because if it doesn't work, I would permanently lose my TWRP recovery with no way to flash it back(because of that FRP lock). I also tried installing update.app and other stock ROMs from various sources using TWRP, but all of them had a "check_write_data_to_partition, write data error" error. I'm not sure if it's related to FRP.
I think my next course of action is to either a) disable FRP in recovery, b) bypass the setup screen or c) install some ROM on it and somehow bypassing the check_write_data_to_partition error, but I'm not sure how to do any of these. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks for the help! It worked, and the bootloader says FRP unlocked. It didn't help the "just a sec" issue, but since I can use fastboot flash, I might be able to flash a new rom in it and just ditch EMUI[probably]. I'll play around with it a bit. Again, thanks a lot for your help!
I got everything working now! Just in case anyone had the same "just a sec" issue: it was fixed by flashing stock recovery then doing a factory reset there(I'm not sure how that's different from wiping dalvik/cache/data/internal storage in twrp, but it makes a difference apparantly). Just flashing custom ROMs didn't solve the problem. After that I installed magisk, and then installed this version of xposed: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76582399&postcount=11 . I installed the v90-beta3 version before which caused the bootloop, but it is fixed in the next version. Magisk has some issues so the magisk manager can't start with internet(adb logcat says there's a NullPointerException in com.topjohnwu.magisk.database.RepoDatabaseHelper.removeRepo) but frankly I don't need to open it with internet anyways. Now I have everything I need on my new phone! Thanks to mrmazak for pointing me to the right direction.
Ok so I was sending mine back to Google my speaker didn't work in calls. So I decided to flash the factory image with the-w and was going to relock the bootloader. Right after I flashed I got stuck in a boot loop, I figured I could just wipe in recovery like my old pixels. It finally gave me your device is corrupt message won't boot, but will not give me the option to wipe. Not even in recovery it fails. Is there anything else I can try? What a deal.
Edit. Okay I finally figured it out I had to use the Android flashing tool I'm used to using adb and fastboot. I'm booting again
