Hello,
I am experiencing constant WIFI drops. I flashed another ROM(LineageOS Official) because I thought it could happen due to the ROM. But nothing changed even after flashing a new ROM. I live in Germany and have Telekom Speedport W724V. I also saw other people having this issue and they mainly live in Germany. Is there any way to fix it?
Example of my problem:
I am chatting with my friends on Whatsapp. Minutes later, my messages can't be send, because I don't have WIFI. Sometimes it showes me, that I'm connected with the Internet, but it still doesn't send the messages.
I hope you can help me. For futher information, just ask me and I can send you every information you need in order to fix this issue.
Android version?

I have this same issue and WiFi only works on OOS stock ROM any other custom ROM I face WiFi drops have you found a fix for this? I'm just so sick of stock ROM.
I'm on the standard China rom MIUI8.2 Stable 8.2.23.0(NCACNEC) and whenever I play games like clash royale on wifi I get disconnected. Absolutely no issues when on 4g.
*edit: it's more like wifi is losing data. the wifi connection is strong but data gets disconnected. If i switch to chrome immediately or another app that uses the internet, it works fine.
Not directly disconnect, but the wifi is still connected but surfing is not possible
Need to wait for Xiaomi release firmware to solve this problem.
Hello !
I am Naphtaline, owning a Sony Xperia XZ Premium and we are experiencing some of your issues there too.
It looks-like the problem could be related to Snapdragon 835 or Android Nougat but we can't be sure yet.
While our problem are not always exactly the same as you, we can say that it could be possible that there are Wifi issues on every snapdragon 835 based device yet on the market.
So, I made a survey to help us understanding this problem. We could then send the results to our brands to help them resolve it.
Please share this link to every people you know owning a flagship device, even if they don't experience the issue. This is very important !
If there are moderators here, if you could make a pinned topic about this survey, this would be marvelous !

Hi. At the start of December, I upgraded my Mi A2 Lite to Android 9 and ever since then I have been facing issues with a few apps over WiFi. The following apps are being affected:
- YouTube
- Twitter
- Facebook
- WhatsApp
- Chrome
*These issues are only on my WiFi. On 4G or any other WiFi these issues don't happen*
The issue with Facebook and Twitter is the same. Both won't load any new feed and behave as if my WiFi is not turned on. YouTube only works at times, other times it would just keep loading and nothing would happen. Sending images or videos on WhatsApp is impossible now. It even has troubles making the backup to Google Drive on my WiFi. As for Chrome the issue is that sometimes even though WiFi is turned on, it would not load any page and just say that I'm not connected to internet. I've been reading other people's threads online and even emailed Xiaomi and Google. I tried the steps (hardware test etc) as told in the email by Xiaomi but that has not helped. Some said that using WiFi and Bluetooth at the same time caused this issue but I have used WiFi with bluetooth turned off yet the issue is still there. Now if this was a WiFi issue then I would have contacted my provider but with the same WiFi connection I have not faced a single issue on any other mobile devices and laptops. As for my WiFi I can't seem to change it from ipv6 to ipv4 (or I just don't know how to). If anybody has faced this issue and knows how to solve it then please help, It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Have you tried disabling Bluetooth and then reconnecting to the WiFi in question? Having both enabled at the same time causes WiFi speed transfers to be really bad, it's an already reported Pie bug.
Btw, can u see 5ghz wifi networks?
Cause i can and have same problem with slow wifi+bluetooth
Yes I have turned Bluetooth off and used WiFi like that but the issue is still there with all the apps mentioned
Any update on this? I'm having the same issue. Using a VPN seems to solve the problem but the connection is slower.
I am facing the same problem on my A2 lite Android One Pie. Even the further upgrades including March upgrade did not resolve the issue. It really sucks.
Has anyone found any solution?
Is MI even concerned or acknowledges the issue?
Is there a way to go back to Android 8?

Hello Dear Sajid Abid,
Good Day !
1st Remember One Thing. Downgrade Is Not A Easy Task, Downgrading Has Also A SIM Issue Problem,.But If You Still Want To Go Back Your Mobile Device From Pie To Oreo You Need To Unlock The Boot-Loader (Off-Course Unlocking Boot-Loader Will Void Warranty) Then Download Stock Oreo (From MIUI Forum) And Flash It With The Help Of IMFlash Tool. After Successfully Ported The Stock Oreo Rom You Can Close The Boot-Loader.
All Instructions/Steps Can Be Easily Found On A2 Lite Forum.
Here Is The Link Which Can Help For Resolving SIM Issue Problem.

try developer options and disable "mobil data always on" option.
Hi guys, since I updated my mi a2 to pie, I'm really suffering from the very slow data connection, even after February update!
I'm trying every possible solution but with no success
Anyone facing the same here? Any suggestions?
Facing similar problem also.
Though many times the phone shows the 4G icon, the bandwith seems low, especially when i try to listen to music through spotify for example, while it used to be better under Oreo.
Any solution welcome.

Hey guys, first of all i don't know much about these stuff so you gotta bear with me haha.I got my Redmi Note 9 Pro about a month ago, first time owning a Xiaomi device. My phone is running MIUI 12.0.1 Global. My wi-fi constantly disconnects and i have to use 4G.Even when it's connected sometimes there is no internet. Is there a known fix for this since i've seen other people having problems too. Also sometimes i have to open Instagram or Messenger to get the notifications, any fix for this?
I would really like some tips about what i should do, maybe new ROM? Is that easy to do? I honestly have no idea what i'm doing atm.
Thanks a lot and sorry if i rambled for too long, hope i made myself clear

you could try a reset back to factory settings, if that does not work id get a refund, then buy another and hope it was just a bad batch.
