For a budget device I think it's normal. Most of the budget device only get 1 major update and 2 years of security patches.
Flash any of the roms and be happy. For smooth and bug free experience I would recommend PE and arrow.

Yeah very much over. Infact days of Moto is over as devices coming out now are overpriced plus the crappy upgrade plan and endless delays in rollout of updates.

There won't come any further updates, February security patch was the last update.
And about Gcam... I think mobile data is more important isn't it?
If there will be no further updates, then is it safe to use the device, particularly for banking transactions?

If need that much gcam then you can switch your sim to other carrier, which has good signal in your area.

I read some comments about bootlooping, and as the partition was encrypted users had to format internal storage, thus loosing all their data.

Flash the ROM you want and then just don't encrypt the data. The data is unencrypted in most ROMs by default. So if using an unencrypted phone doesn't bother you then you will be fine.

I also bought in Singapore. But using LG UP tool i had flashed to India firmware (H930DS10e_00_OPEN_ESA_DS_OP_0123.kdz). I had done this to make JIO SIM work for me.
After I connected to LG bridge tool and it popped up for software. I got OREO update but while rebooting the screen shows LG V30+ ThinQ instead of LG v30+. Do you guys know why? The software version I see is "V20B-SEA-XX"
Also earlier VOLTE was not working for my STARHUB but now it is working. Hurray! But I am worried whether JIO will work or not when I go back to India. Any thoughts?

Since the device is updated with the AI capabilities of V30S ThinQ, the V30 and V30+ are now officially ThinQ branded. V20B-SEA-XX is the latest version available. As for Jio, I think it should work just fine since the decice supports the band that Jio uses.
Ok guys, it's been 2 days since the oreo update on my V30+ and here's a brief review so far.
1) The AI camera capabilities isn't a game changer here. You'll only observe some minute differences in these areas.
Better Dynamic range.
Bright mode comes handy.
2) Battery life is considerably improved over Nougut version. The total usage time was 18h 40mins from 100% to 5% with a screen usage time of 5hr 43 mins. Played some games like PUBG and Relic Run and then sone youtube videos. After that I've downloaded 2 full hd movies in the background about 4GB. Location, wifi and mobile data were ON the whole time. Also, I didn't enable the battery saver too. So I think this is very good compared to all the other flagship devices with similar battery capacity.
3) No update is without cons and in this case, too many app crashes. Frequent YouTube crashes and then I constantly receive the pop-up "Unfortunately, this app has stopped" for the app "Appy Geek" which I use as a widget. Some of the other apps crash too and this is really annoying.
4) Even when you select Icon shape as "Original" in the Home screen settings, you still get rounded square icons. It makes no sense!!
Overall, Oreo update isn't exactly something to look forward to until these bugs are fixed.

Actually jio did not work when I had android 7.1.2 when I was in India last time. Then I had to flash to Indian firmware found on lg-firmwares.com. I made it work after that by enabling volte from hidden menu. With oreo, I will try one more time when I visit India in July.

It doesn't make any sense. It's not that I'm in a hurry since from my last experiences sometimes updating to a newer Android version makes the phone work worse than with the version it first shipped with.
But, that being said, why would Samsung roll out the update to cheaper and less popular devices like the A30/M30 and delay it for it's second most sold phone in 2019? What about A70 users!? They paid for a higher end product and they are left behind even worse.

I had checked received early updates option under update settings, just for the info:
I got my device 2 months ago and it is very snappy. I have no interest in having it become irreversibly laggy because of a major update.
I would love to hear if anybody had applied the update yet and if it slows the phone down.
If it does I will not update-- I'd rather have a snappy phone than one with the latest bells and whistles but sluggish!

Don't update. It looks nice, have some cool features, camera is better, but it feels like it is not the same phone anymore. It lags, some animations are perfect, but many are not. Icons animation is ugly for me, text size is also not OK for me, some is bold and some is not...
The best firmware was Android 9, all after that is worse and worse.
Btw I did factory reset after I updated, like I always do after major update...
Thanks!!
So glad I checked with you guys!
I noticed the slight slowdown also between A9 and a10 within MIUI 11 itself.
Still fast, but an ever so slight lag that wasn't there before.
I assume there is no way to revert to MIUI 11 without unlocking the device....
I'll pass!

This whole episode makes a good argument for unlocking and rooting. Even though I have avoided doing that since I had my Nexus phone, it would seem that this is the only way to prevent your phone from becoming obsolete.
The RN8P is not an old phone and its such a shame that Xiaomi would release an update that would degrade the performance so much...and not give regular users the option of reverting....but then again, I have seen this happen on my previous phones too.
My previous phone was an LG G6, a flagship from a few years ago. When new it came installed with A6, and by the last update was A9, which literally made the device unusable.
Manufacturers are in a dilemma, because on one hand power users demand updates for the latest versions, yet inevitably these newer updated versions use more resources and aren't optimized as well for a legacy device.
At the very least the manufacturers should provide an easy method of downgrading.

"An update with the November security patch arrived for the majority of Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners at the end of October. Google is now releasing updated builds for both phones, with global and Verizon variants.
Update 11/17: According to Verizon, this mid-cycle update “improves the performance of your device’s fingerprint sensor.” Early anecdotes of the 14.56MB OTA are bearing that out. However, “Check for update” does not currently trigger the download for all users."

I got it last night and it did indeed improve the FPS.
I wish they would update the camera to use the tele lens for Portrait and to use the user-selected lens for photos regardless of conditions.
Definite improvement. Makes this phone feel like the caliber it's supposed to be.

Mine never pulled the first update so I sideloaded the VZ version. This time it pulled the VZ version.
I never had probs with the Fingerprint. But the system seems to open a bit faster.
Automatic brightness is working much better, too.
IMO the whole thing with the FPS was overblown. I never had an issue with it and it was certainly better than the one in my LG V60. I bet if Samsung had this same FPS performance, there wouldn't be any complaints.
Could someone please tell me how can I tell if my phone is locked or unlocked?

I think it is, especially if you're into custom ROMs and rooting and so forth, as the 10 Pro scene hasn't gotten to that point as of this writing; there's lots of fretting and hand-wringing in the 10 Pro forum about it. I picked up a refurbished one last month from Amazon and am tickled pink with it (I'm keeping my trusty 7 Pro as a backup). In fact, the first thing I did was load my custom-built LineageOS fork (which I had already built in anticipation) onto it, as there was no way I was going to stay on OxygenOS beyond using it to OEM unlock the phone.
Hey guys,
Just received a used 9 Pro LE2123 and I got it without any battery juice.
I am using the warp charger that is from this model and I noticed that the charging is super slow.
It came with Android C61 and I let it update to C62, if this plays any role.
Any ideas about what is happening?
Download OOS 11 Firmware from Oneplus Website and Flash it using Local Update App and format the device. Then upgrade into newest Version via OTA.

Why to do this?
The device was factory resetted when I got it.
Because you've literally no idea what the last user had flashed to it, or had messed around with.

Making Custom ROMs isn't my issue. The problem with 10 pro for me is not be able recover if got hardbricked (which I will do eventually) . We don't have any official stores in our country. And online services isn't really my thing. 10 Pro is 10$+ then 9 pro here. Still want to buy 9 pro over 10 pro cz of MSM mostly.

I guess after unlocking the bootloader and the full erase of data it should be fine.
op9pro could be a good phone for people living on social-media (nowadays the street-price is half of official price)
if you are flashotic or privacy-caring it's better thinking a bifferent device
Had mine for around 15 months, LE2123 it took a major hit when it went from a11 to a12. I'm completely stock and not modified in anyway. Overall I have been happy with the phone, I know it was expensive near launch but it's managed well so far. I've blocked all advertising by putting all my traffic through pihole and it's been good. Played a few games on boost mode and it's incredibly slick. I've seen in the latest version c62 you can use storage as ram also. Really love the camera, it has t's fault but most settings can be disabled ( like AI etc) and I am tempted to move to gcam.

Current device is still OnePlus 9Pro 8gb. LE2123 c62. (UK)
Finally rooted and cloned all my 146 apps from my previous OP6 phone and everything runs flawlessly.
Battery is great, the phone is super fast and it has a very good and fast camera.
My only concern is that some notifications are not coming up on time, so some apps need further check to fix this issue.

Don't use Gmail app. I personally use Sugar mail and never missed any emails.
The 9 Pro continues to hold its own! Actually it's still pretty popular!
Personally in the US its one of the few options left available for those who like to really customize their devices. With spectacular battery life on customs (I've had mine about a month and get 8h SOT with some light gaming casually). I mean it doesn't get much better than this! Sure during heavy tasks it can get a little hot but that is slightly improving with OOS12 firmware. It will still reach those peak temps but seemingly not as fast. I got mine from Amazon as well for about $750 USD quite the deal! Using this device has be quite the pleasure. I'm definitely happy on Crdroid with BluSpark kernel. And since OOS has dropped the ball it means that OOS12 based custom roms will get nice custom kernel support which isn't normally there for a long time. Looking forward to the future of this phone!
No, stick with a phone that has good stock firmware. Oos is buggy af and is getting more and more like chinese bloat.
I would suggest a pixel over it (maybe 7?)

Except that Pixel phones have a lot of problems of their own, including the firmware, and there's no reason to believe that the 7 series will be any different given Google's recent track record. Pixel vs 9 Pro is just one set of issues versus another at this point. But, if one wants to delve into custom ROMs, both are good in that department (disclaimer: I don't follow the custom ROM scene for Pixel phones so I'm not as familiar with it as I am the OnePlus line).

Pixels have lacking support compared to what it used to be with the Nexus line up. There is some interest but it's mostly unofficial support that doesn't last for long and its nothing that you can rely on like with the OnePlus phones

The biggest problem that puts people off the Pixels right now is the Samsung SoC and modem. Stupid decision on Google's part.
