Can anyone Please Port One UI or Any Samsung Experience rom For Oneplus 5T (Dumpling)
I don't think it'll be so easy but if a developer thinks it's worth it, maybe we can see a port of it in the future.
I've seen a port of One UI for Treble enabled devices such as OnePlus 6 and some Xiaomi phones, maybe that can be useful.

And they are discontinued. Rom itself has problems not saying knox, system size is bigger and creates problem in twrp, list goes on... As i had 2 diffrent phones on oneui, i can say oxygenos is nova launcher and oneui is go ex launcher. I like aosp more but miui is an exception to me...

I booted the one ui rom on oneplus 5t
But its very unstable right now
Yeah, every OneUI GSI so far doesn't have RIL working (the dev says in Telegram that Samsung repeatedly patches his workarounds).

Hello,
I just purchased a Chinese version of Oneplus 3 with Hydrogen OS.
I have installed Google Apps straight away with Xiaomi Google Installer and everything is running smooth and fine.
However, I found that Hydrogen OS lacks lots of features especially in the "Privacy and security" department. No option to set a normal password (only pattern or pin), no information on device encryption, no settings on lock... what's going on? Am I missing something?
How is it possible that there is no way to check whether or not the device is encrypted?
Regards,
That's especially strange considering that stock, vanilla Android includes such features. Why did you purchase the Chinese version instead of the A3000 or A3003?

Exactly, that was my same thought. I also have a Google Pixel C and a Galaxy S6 and the settings on both are far more complete, security being night and day. The fact that only pin (4 digit) or pattern is allowed, no password, and that there is no information on storage encryption is ridiculous.
The phone is the A3000, bought in China, with Hydrogen OS.

Hmm, the A3000 is what I have here in the US with Oxygen OS. I thought the 3000 was US only, maybe I was wrong?...

The Chinese version is A3000 too, model number: ONEPLUS A3000, firmware: ONEPLUS A3000_16_160630.
And by the way, Hydrogen OS seems not to support widgets... WHAAAAAAT?

One thing I do know is that China seems to really love knocking off iPhone. The no widget move seems to fall right in line with that lol.
BTW my firmware is ONEPLUS A3000_16_160705. I'm assuming the 0705 is the date of the release, which seems like it coincides with the newest release of Oxygen OS.
Seems like you just need to unlock that bootloader and say to hell with Hydrogen OS lol.

I am happy with stock BL/ROM, I just want to have regular Android features.
Does Oxygen have encryption on by default?

Yes. I agree though with @biglilsteve though. Time to unlock bootloader and load other firmware. Also on the point that Chinese phones do live to knock off iOS. You can however just install another launcher that supports widgets if you don't want to get rid of hydrogen.

Well, I thought this entire thread was surrounding your dissatisfaction with the stock ROM. Oxygen OS does encrypt by default. It shows this in settings (as any ROM should). I'm fully satisfied with OOS as a ROM and have no plans to unlock or root the phone in the near future. But it sounds like HOS is no good, so I'd probably go away from it.

Didn't think about just using another launcher! Maybe Google Now Launcher would be a good place to start.

LOL. The first (and last) time I tried miui I had to install a different launcher for widgets. I am a minimalist when it comes to home screens, and love the app drawer. Using a different launcher as default gets rid of the pesky iOS emulation that i try so hard to stay away from.

I installed Nova launcher as a workaround, probably going to keep Hydrogen OS as I read everywhere it's more responsive than Oxygen OS. The unlock button is blazing fast!
I still can't figure out where to find whether or not the phone is encrypted though.

Oneplus yesterday launch their oxygen os open beta 4 for the oneplus 5t. I tried this all steps to enable with Substratum and Always on enabler on my rooted oneplus 5t but its not working.
And btw it works on all the other 8.1 roms. But i like the ambient display of Oxygen os. So i want it always on.
Please Help
They don't use the AOSP Always on Display... they made their own version of it
Can someone port this for install on Oreo stable or do we need to wait?
well, there is no need for port. u can download apps in playstore for always on display. try this

@xXx is this somehow possible? If oos picked up and, then it would be almost perfect!
Should mention xXx doesn't support 5t, but I'm sure it y'all port aod over or basic 5 gets it, then the otherside will too.

They don't work like they should. I hit the power button to wake the phone and it just turns off the aod and then back on. That's one, then they don't handle notifications well. I prefer aosp style because it works normally. If someone can port a way, then we will be set
Currently have an honor view 10, great phone but having major issues with the image stabilisation.
The camera is very important for me and I've just currently bought a 5t hoping to take the view 10 back (2 days old)
Can somebody help me with some questions.
1. How is the dual sim function does it work on different roms etc
2. Should I flash a custom Rom or stick with stock oxygen.
I hate ads
3. Any issues I should know about.
Thanks hopefully will be sticking with the 5t.
I know the 6 is around the corner but budget is tight
Oxygen Os should be something you keep; custom roms don't tend to make use of all the hardware features (notification slider, camera) as well. only oxygen os would allow you to shoot 30 second exposures. Also, i personally use magisk on oxygen os and xposed with a safety check module so I can still use snapchat and disable notification bar for gestures
Can you plz mention which safety module u talking about? Whenever i flash xposed for Oreo beta 3 zip it bricks safety net. I'm on OB5 btw.

Sorry should of updated,
5t is better in every aspect.....
Period.
I was considering buying the view 10, but I chose oneplus 5t for 1 reason. The glass of view 10 is not good as oneplus 5t. Overall, both phones are good for price.
Let me tell you why i cop this 5T
Display (Oled)
Chipset (Snapdragon)
Dash Charge (Fastest in the world)
Cons :
Camera is not quite good, but you can try google cam, just an option
Hey guys,
Just wanted to know which rom you are using and the reason behind it.
I am using xiaomi.eu 10.2 stable, I am basically using it because of stability. I previously used pixel experience for a while, it was a bit of a hassle to boot it up.Since the dev was inactive and the rom had some bugs I had to use miui which I am not a big fan of.
The goal of this discussion is to find out if anyone is using stock android like roms without any issues.
Thanks

I'm using pixel experience, doesn't have any bugs and easy enough to install.
Only downside is the security patch is not up to date

Which version of the phone do you have? (Global/Chinese)
Can you describe how you installed it?
Is the proximity sensor working for you?

+1. That's the only drawback for me, other than that it's close to perfect.

I have the Chinese device, with the Chinese developer vendor image. Installation was just the usual, flash vendor image, flash rom, format data, flash Magisk.
Stock global, because I think MIUI is cool, and I bought this phone for that.

That's about where I was, other than the notification nightmare which made it close to unusable for me. I just couldn't see the point, my conclusion being it's designed for people who like themes, which aren't my cup of tea.
Yeah notifications are a disaster. I thought MIUI was cool and I have all the pixel XL devices too, so I have choices.

There are a couple apps for which I get notifications but no sound, most notably Google Keep and Settle Up. Other than that, I don't have major issue with notifications since 10.2 update.
Stock Chinese ROM with Nova Launcher Prime for me. I like the lack of Google trash, like Chrome, not being needed to use and access the Play Store. Literally the most bloat-free experience after uninstalling the Chinese bloat that isn't needed.
Dev eu rom. Since the first release. Happy with it. No problem at all.
Cn device with global Rom, I like MIUI battery management last all day with heavy use.
Xiaomi.eu weekly with Nova prime on top.
I really like it and notifications work fine it is just a little bit annoying that you have to set app specific settings for them to work properly though.
Guys what's the notification issue you're talking about?
Im on global miui too but i dont know exactly what it is?

Which messaging app are you using? For me, I could never get notifications to work properly with Google Messages, and with the native Messages app, group messaging didn't work, nor does it have a desktop interface. This may have improved with the more recent releases, but Pixel Experience was so good I have no need to bother trying MIUI again (the other big thing it was missing is the smart unlock functionality).
The only thing I'll regret in stock android is the full screen gesture. I love it in miui

Fluid navigation app does the same as the miui ones
i got this phone at launch and for the price i think its really good but i really dislike the miui intreface, its so restrictive and has limmited options compated to the android on my one plus or lineage that u used previously. i put nova launcher on to try tidy things up a bit but i still cant get used to not being able to turn off some of the notifications which is annoying. so i was wondering if any of the really clever people around here might ever be able to get a lineage option for it ?

Clever Indian developers are ready to give you official bug free Lineage OS, Custom Kernels and many other custom ROMs (Including Oxygen OS). We're waiting for Xiaomi to launch it in India. Within 2-3 weeks of launch you'll be using a custom ROM on your phone
