Hello i have a question same as in the title, is it possible? i don't want to lose warranty or anything and i want to downgrade my device from Pie 10.0.4.0 to Oreo 9.6.11.0 without unlocking bootloader
I want to downgrade because i see many bugs after updating to Pie, and i think my battery health is worse than in older software ( i got after 5 hours of SoT 38% in the same day when he was 100% just using facebook, messenger and snapchat)
anyone? please... i don't want to lose warranty...
I don't think it's possible, I readed somewhere that there is an anti-rollback protection, so you need to unlock for downgrading.

Hello SadToni,
1st Remember One Thing. Downgrade Is Not A Easy Task, Downgrading Has Also A SIM Issue, But If You Still Want To Downgrade Your Device From Pie 10.0.4.0 To Oreo 9.6.11.0 You Need To Unlock The Boot-Loader (Off-Course Unlocking Boot-Loader Will Void Warranty) Then Download Stock Oreo 9.6.11.0 And Flash It With The Help Of IMFlash Tool. After Successfully Ported The Stock Oreo 9.6.11.0 Rom You Can Close The Boot-Loader. Your Mobile Become As A Factory Condition With Warranty.
All Instructions/Steps Can Be Easily Found On A2 Lite Forum.
Have A Nice Day.
Thanks,

Great response Muhammad Asif, based on your experience, do you know if there is a fix for sim issue for everything to return and work just like stock Oreo?
Hi*cfn_2000,
Hope You Are Doing Good And Thanks For The +Ve Reply.
Yes, I Remember That. I Read On Forum SIM Issue Problem Has Been Fixed After Downgrade .
But I Suggest You Double Check And Read Each An Every Steps Two Times Before Downgrade.
Brother Why Don't You Stay On Pie ? As Pie Is Good With Minor Issues And I Am Constantly Seeing That، They Are Fixing Reported Issues In Every Month Update.

Don't go back to Oreo dude, it's not worth it. And SIM solution may work or, in my case, may not. I reprogrammed all via QFIL because flashing numerous modem.img only, typing commands in ADB, flashing ROMs again and again was for nothing as I wanted my full network speed with BT on, Loc on, and everything on without messing with my router and not-swapped two working SIMs with data. If your device is working fine just leave it with Pie.

Am I just missing it, or is there no root or recovery ability for the 915A?
Marshmallow 6.0.1 ****ed mine up when it got pushed down, and Samsung's backup software (all 3 of them) failed to capture my apps and settings properly. Really wish I could've had a better backup ability.
Does or has anyone checked to see if the update to MM 6.0.1 has unlocked the bootloader on the SM-N915A like the Verizon variant?
How does one check?
Att have not released any M updates.
Mine updated to 6.0.1 the same day I bought it . Several small updates happened first. 5.0.1 to 5.1.1 then a small one, and finally 6.0.1. Since I had just bought it, resetting was a simple thought. But so far, no problems, I bought a PowerBear to make it last longer. :fingers-crossed:
Mine had a lot of issues after being updated. MMS didn't work at all. SMS worked sporadically, but would sometimes delete whole threads. Couldn't get a signal in many spots. Google Play Services wouldn't run and couldn't be fixed. Tried a cache-wipe and every other non-destructive method, but nothing worked. Ended up having to factory-reset, and since then the phone works as it should, but none of the backup methods captured key settings. Basically all it did was save contacts and APK's. Lost my 2-factor keys and everything.
I am with you! Since the update to MM, phone has been very laggy/unresponsive. Lock screen lights up for no reason sporadically and I have LOTS of dropped calls/deadspots. VERY irritating! I wish this release would have been tested a bit more before it was OTA pushed out
Hey all! Good news! A 9-year-old bug called the "Dirty Cow" exploit still exists in the Linux/Android kernel can easily grant root on any Android phone!!! See the video below.
http://www.xda-developers.com/9-yea...-dirty-cow-can-root-every-version-of-android/
So there's another bug to exploit for root and even possibly unlocking the bootloader! The bug has been fixed recently in Linux but hasn't been rolled into Android yet.
Could someone make this Windows compatible? http://androiding.how/dirty-cow-root-android/

I have a stock LP-rom H815 with locked bootloader, rooted and TWRP-in-FIsH by @steadfasterX installed and I want to try the update from LG for new experiences but tbh I am very much skeptical about the N rom successfully booting up without any issues since I have been reading about in other threads and a lot of users are complaining of it bootloop-ing or crashing and such while there are few who are impressed without any issue from updating to Nougat
I am hoping maybe you experienced members could shed some light on this Nougat rom not blowing up right back on my face since it is my only device and daily driver and suggest me if it is worth the shot safely.
--UPDATE--
Yes it is. With proper guidance, it is.

I think if you flash just one and not try others you are short changing yourself. At that point you may has well not even unlocked your phone, stay full stock.
Looking to flash just one Rom is like just trying one flavor of ice cream and then deciding all other flavors are not worthy. Do not let someone tell you what is best, try as many as you can, then you tell yourself which is best for you. Each has its own advantages and each has it own flaws only you can say which you like best. As for the word Stable, they are all about the same... Some are more out of date but that does not effect its stability. Try them all and have fun.

I have found @AmulyaX 's

Sorry for big delay - life keeps getting in the way...
TWRP that backs up EFS here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...overy-unofficial-twrp-3-2-1-0-option-t3743116
I had somebody's 3.2.1-0 and after second attempt was able to get it to flash it (choose "image")
Remember, with these TWRPs when you boot to it, the screen seems locked at menu so just tap pwr button and tap again and slide to unlock and you're good to go.
Scroll down Backup screen to see box for EFS.
There's also an app that backs up EFS (root I think).
For root I believe all I did was flash majisk 1530 zip in TWRP. -
To do that: flash ROM, flash gapps, install, then reboot to TWRP and flash 1530.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk
second post.
Oh I see 1531 is out, so try that.
1530 or 1531 will auto install magisk mgr so you don't have to do anything. root plus safetynet. Works fine for me. I'll be back in a bit.

good night, I'm using several ROMs and testing on my zplay bike, the problems I'm encountering I've flagged. if I answered with the problems is because I liked the ROM, because the other ROMs that I did not like, nor signaled any mistakes. today I am in the last version of 8.1 AOSP, tomorrow I will quote bugs.

Hello there!
I'm still running the old Oreo firmware on my note 5 pro (global), but I've been having some issues and I feel its time for a reinstall.
However as far as I can see, every ROM under the sun requires the "new" (well, its not new anymore) Pie firmware, and as I understand it, that firmware brings a slight downgrade in battery life among other things, but it seems to depend upon which version is installed.
So, which version of the Pie firmware is considered the best as of now in terms of performance/battery and all that jazz.
Any advice would be very appriciated!

I've used many firmwares but 9.4.25 is best for me bcoz it shows correct battery specification while charging (4000 mAh)
Does firmware version make a noticable difference? Also, it's safe to downgrade Pie firmware?

Also just generally I know this is a very nitpicky subject, but since Xiaomi has blessed their phones with ARB I really dont want to screw it up, need the phone to keep on working, haha

Besides that any ABR4 firmware is good to go.
Hi guys. I need your help

Network is up again when I restart the phone, but if I leave it for a while, it loses the signal and nobody can call me.
Is there anyway to solve this problem?
