As the topic suggests, what is the best VIDEO you've managed to capture on your Galaxy S 2?!

video quality not so good but acceptable.
I record football games

Google+ video auto backup issue.

I decided to use google+'s auto backup feature to backup my photos and videos. I always used dropbox but wanted to give google a chance since storage pricing are a lot cheaper.
My issue is that on settings I have it set up to upload at full. However, videos recorded at a resolution of 1920x1080 get resized to the following resolutions:
854x480 and 320x240 - Actual video sizes seem to remain same as originals.
I have 100gb of storage and have only used 2.3gb. Is this a known issue; is there anyway to get the videos to upload at theor original resolutions?
Also, once photos and videos are uploaded, is it safe to delete them from my Note 3's sd card?

I'm not sure if you found the answer anywhere else but I just noticed this today also and wasn't able to find any information on it. But looking more into it, I realized the videos are correctly uploaded at full 1920x1080 size if you check from google+ on the web instead of the google+ photos app on your phone. I even downloaded a video onto my computer to verify and that is probably also why the video storage size is still the same as on your phone. Once a video is uploaded, you have the flexibility of viewing it in a lower resolution online and I guess the google+ app only allows you to view in the lower resolution even though its uploaded and available at the higher resolution. So its safe to delete the videos and photos from your phone.

Did the Z5 Premium get a HDR firmware update?

I'm sorry, but if that isn't HDR on the Z5 Premium I don't know what is. Either way, it looks amazing.

The video you linked isnt 4K HDR. Videos that appear 4K HDR have HDR written next to the quality and that video didnt. Theres a chance Sony couldve just increased the quality of the screen in an update. As you can see in my images you will notice HDR written next to all the qualities on my XZ Premium. Unfortunately for us any videos ran above 720 60 HDR stutter really bad and 30 fps videos only just about work at a high of 1080p. Amzon Prime HDR 30 fps videos at 4k run fine though.
The images below show 4k HDR on YouTube and the other image shows the difference between HDR from YouTube and non-HDR in the Album app. I downloaded Horizon Zero Dawn at 4k non-HDR and compared both side by side with the one in the YouTube app. The image on the left is HDR and the image on the right is SDR.

My Sony bravia X80c is capable of HDR but only over USB almost like its accidental as the picture mode goes to nothing. Sony arent issuing an HDR update for HDMI so I doubt they will for the Z5 Premium which also again annoys me because I would imagine both would be capable just like how the Z4 and Z5 series should get Oreo but they arent.

They removed the ability to change aspect ratio on both cameras. Now you get 2 choices: Medium Resolution, and Full Res. in 4:3 aspect ratio. STUPID FUX!!!

First off, the option to select 16:9 images is still available. However it is in the pull down menu and not in "settings" where the "Medium/Full Resolution" option is located.

Second off, 16:9 images is actually a crop of the 4:3 image and is not full resolution. This is not new to this version of the Pixel camera. It has always been like that on this phone. A image taken in 4:3 mode is actually 4032x3024 (12.2mp) while an image taken in the 16:9 mode is only 3840x2160 (8.3mp). So you really want to be taking images in the 4:3 mode to get the highest quality. You can always crop them to 16:9 if needed and not loose any pixels, but you can't add back the lost pixels if you take your shots in 16:9 mode and want 4:3.

Yes I know that 16/9 is a cropped 4/3. I have a 65 inch 4K monitor and I just want them to fit. I take too many pics to crop manually.

For photos, we have to select the Portrait option and we can click photos with blur background but for Video, there is no option to record with Blur Background - I have seen many phones with Video Record with Blur Background

There is a blurry background mode for video recording!
When in "Video" mode, tap the magic wand icon on top.
Then choose "Bokeh" instead of "Beautify" and adjust the slider to your needs.
