Hi has anyone tried the dev preview of q yet? I was wondering how stable it is. I usually wait till the second or third before I stay on dev preview. But if this is stable enough I will just update and stay there
I'm on q dp1 and it's very stable have had no force close or anything and all my apps work. But because something works for me doesn't mean it'll work for you but it's stable for daily use.

I hope offical is ASAP!
nightly update,more stable, less bug
The Rom we have is already pretty awesome, but there are some bugs left.. The major killer for me is the camera.. I need a reliable good working camera.. And right now there is no solution on the horizon.

For starters an official rom would actually contain cm features...., also i could watch videos iv recorded, mayne also take videos if thats not too much to ask, i legit dont understand how so many of you people complain about phones like ' the signals terrible, the phone lags,' tgen buy a phone yhats decent and all you guys do is put on a rom which wont even let you take a video!?!?!? Am i missing something, the cm12 build we have now is okay but is no where near a daily driver and doesnt contaim any cm features or stability
Well if you want everything build it yourself and see how much work goes into making everything work. Only thing official will get are NIGHTLIES which will likely contain as many bugs as what their is currently. Fresh builds never have all the features as the previous ones. Every forum I've seen on here for the g3 that has cm11 or 12 are all pretty much stable enough to be daily.
Also I must as well ask why does everybody care about OFFICIAL?
legitness
Offical is less likely to have bugs and will have cm new festures
Officials can be used as "base" for people who want to cook their own AOSP based stuff.
You can use unofficial for a base unofficial will still have cm features its just not official cm12 has just started. I suggest waiting
Official or not, it is still CM...
I personally prefer CM based rom with some cherry picks from independent devs...
They are way better....
Like others say, what we get in official cm are just nightlies...
at+t
Even atandt varient has it, no one uses atandt , is it possible to port it??!?!?!
If you look at the CM website you will see that the D850 is now in the device list

There are two CM11 nightly builds

Build 11/08 is reported to be stable. Don't flash the newest versions, they are broken at the moment. I am currently running 09/27, but am experiencing some full screen playback issues (hesitation resulting in the audio and video being very off-synced). I myself am about to jump to 11/08. One user reported a problem with his status bar disappearing on that build, but that's been one person, and who knows if something else is interfering like GravityBox or something. In that case, build 10/30 is also stable. Absolutely love the ROM.
More info can be found in the comments of the official ROM release page for the mt2l03, I know it's long but you'll learn a lot about the builds there as well as upcoming features.
Hi,
As users from theTelegram and Whatsapp group know, a team of people have been working on a custom ROM based on stock where we are trying to incorporate a few mods to make this phone a bit more custom (hence the custom ROM name xD)
So far we've given users from those groups a few BETAs to test, we are currently in BETA 2.0 (which have a few bugs that will soon be eliminated) and are now in a stage where we want to add a few more mods before releasing BETA 3.0
With that said, I would like to know based on J2 Prime users feedback which of these mods interests you the most:
Mods for Samsung Marshmallow 6.0.1
So we can start working on them and try to add them to BETA 3 before release
It will be good practice for us and we can give back to you users that have been suffering with this crappy device xD
Let me know via this thread and I will update the list of what mods are planned
So far, here is what we have planned to add:
Edge Screen
Scroll Capture
Screen Record/Screenshot on Power Menu
Nougat UI
All quicksettings by swiping down from the right corner
Volume button to skip music
Suggestions are welcome
Dude that volume button to skip music would be awesome:good:
Goodluck bro...
Would love most if those ideas

I have tried Pie roms but they are not as stable as Oreo. Especially in games like PUBG where there are glitches.
Anyone else on a stable Oreo rom? Which rom and why? (Do mention Android version to avoid confusion.)

I'm on bootleggers 3.0 last oreo build with derp 2.8 Kernel i tried almost all ths oreo ROMs and this one is my favorite , you should try it once :good:
yes,
I am using Cardinal AOSP and pretty much happy with this ROM ! :fingers-crossed:
you can try it
Yaps i still on orea , i have tried most of pie rom available for our device but all of them has some kind of glitches and not enough customization as in oreo ,so i will stay in oreo untill pie rom as stable as oreo and has enough customization.
yep, still using aosip oreo rom, it's the first rom i flash after unlocking bootloader, pretty much stable for my daily use
I'm still on AOSiP Oreo, pretty much since I've bought the phone back in June (used RR for some 10 days maybe), and have briefly tried Pixel Experience, but back when it just came out.
Oreo roms are still more stable than Pie, although for my kind of usage I could even go for Pie, but I don't want to give up Xposed just yet.
It would be nice to have another update for Oreo roms with updated blobs, but I guess exactly 0 devs share this opinion so there's that.
@Cirra92
What"s wrong with AOSP PIE roms ? I"m using PE right now. Apart from "not perfect" standby battery drain, broken manual network selection, broken 5GHz hotspot and that time when MIUI camera refused to record a video (fixed it by rebooting the phone) there isn"t much to complain about. PIE roms seems stable to me

Well I didn't state anywhere that they are unstable, I have just said that Oreo roms are still more stable which means more refined and bugs (mostly, or at least the major noticeable ones) ironed out. You have named couple of bugs already, there are also couple of bigger ones, not supported SD card formats, unstable network handoffs (4G->3G->2G), some roms have WiFi bugs. And that's normal, count in the time put in Oreo roms, and on the other hand Pie roms, as with each major Android release, new bugs arrive, some harder to fix, some easier.
And another note I want to make (mentioned in previous post) that for my particular usage, Pie roms are probably suitable enough, though it depends when will I decide to switch and give up on GravityBox and XInsta (mainly the latter).
Pie roms are certainly getting polished, and are already daily driver material for most people, but still, not everyone.
Revolution OS in combination with latest Deep Kernel.
Perfect for me. Smooth, no lags, fast and awesome battery life
I thought the whole idea of beta release updates was tk provide 2 things Testing, fixing bugs and glitches and also to allow developers time to fine tune apps for compatibility with the upcoming stable releasing.
Yet here we are Goodlock which is Samsung & Synergy OneUI Theme Compiler......all still not compatible with A10
You would think that logically they would have had everything ready.
Samsung especially since they knew when A10 was releasing. Pretty Bad Management.
Lol

Yeah, testing, fixing bugs, and glitches with Android 10 on the device, not on supplementary apps.
Way back when i had the Nexus 6P . Google mentioned that one of the reasons why betas are released is for developers to ready their apps.
Good Lock took months to update fully last year for Pie as well on the S9 series. Keep in mind also, they are likely seperate dev teams, and there was a much shorter beta this time around, so the Good Lock team likely didn't have enough time. The base app, and a few plug-ins work.
As for a 3rd party app, that's a whole different scenario. You'd have to ask them why it doesn't work.
