I unlocked bootloader via Bootloader and cmd
and it gave no problems
But when I watch flash Magic 18.1 and make a restart it only comes to the Oneplus screen and does not go any further.
have tried both
TWRP-3.2.3-0-20190311-codeworkx-dumpling
TWRP-3.2.3-x_blu_spark_v9.91_treble-op5_op5t
TWRP-3.2.3-2-dumpling
And none of them get my phone rooted?
When I uninstall Magic run my phone again and it is still unloced bootloader
What can be done to get it rooted

Hey.
had a problem with nexus ( maybe still have)
Gave it to O2 for repair.
Picked phone back today and Ive noticed that bootloader is unlocked ( wasn't)
as they have downloaded old software on the phone 4.0.1 , phone found new update.
When installing it, it came out with red exclamation mark .... after taking battery out, it wont find the update again....
had unlocked bootloader anything to do with updating ? how do I update now ?
How do I lock it back ? or is it better to leave it like it is ? what are advantages ??
thanks for all help
leave it unlocked learn to flash recovery then learn to flash ROMs and you can have 4.0.4 today

Reboot into fastboot mode, plug into your computer (assuming you have the driver installed), open a command prompt in the same directory as your fastboot.exe file and type: fastboot oem lock

If it is unlocked, you can use fastboot commands to flash images to your device - this may alleviate a lot of heartache later on. If you lock the bootloader, and you need to unlock it again, it will wipe all of your data (including anything stored on /sdcard).
thanks for all answers...
I have find out that they flashed my phone with yakjuxw and thats the reason it won't update I think
I was about to flash it last night, but I have noticed that the issue which was reason for me to give phone for repair is still there...
So will hold up with it and give it back to repair on Monday...again...
I've got a mi 5s plus with a locked bootloader and i read that you can use the special cable and the qualcomm mode to flash a rom with miflash.
I've tried the global stable and china stable with both saying success in miflash. but when i go to start the phone it doesnt start on the first press. then on the second its stuck on the mi logo.
i think im able to get to fastboot/recovery mode but as my bootloader is locked i dont think that matters.
How are people flashing with miflash with a locked bootloader. I've tried so many times with the same outcome.
any help would be appreciated.
Anyone? The phone just seems stuck in EDL mode...... ive successfully flashed it over 15 times now but it wont start up.

I'm not aware of any special cables, the first thing is to unlock your bootloader, you can use this process (http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/how-to/unlocking-xiaomi-mi-5-bootloader-t3336243)
After that you can install any rom

Thanks I suppose this is the way I might have to do it. Is there a way to lock the bootloader after flashing so that Android Pay and my work apps still work?

I'm really sorry but I'm not using Android pay.
It is stuck on a screen with the battery. I can get to bootloader mode but cannot get into recovery. Bootloader is locked... Please help
Basically I had the bootloader unlocked and it was rooted. I unrooted the phone and then I locked the bootloader and I am here now. Just wanted to make it go back to stock.
Is it a carrier model or a play store

There probably isn't, if you've altered system and relock and toggle OEM unlocking off in dev. options you get bricked.

Did you try:
fastboot flashing unlock
Since you only relocked, you unlikely toggled "OEM unlock"?!
If it fails, I think you are SOL. Maybe someone with a proper solution will chime in. Otherwise, you have to RMA your device...
Good luck...

Hey... Go into recovery and perform a factory reset.
Reboot bootloader and flash stock firmware. You could flash both slots to be sure your device is completely clean.
I wrote a how-to for someone having another issue. You.can follow this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71849370&postcount=28
When you are finished with flashing, reboot to be sure your system boot properly and your phone works as it should...
From here you can reboot into bootloader and issue:
fastboot flashing lock
If It was me I'd leave it unlocked though... Or at least OEM unlock enabled and ADB debugging ON. Since Google tend to release messed up OTA, you can always unlock the bootloader if needed.
But if you wish you can also disable the OEM unlock.
Good luck...

I'm pretty inexperienced with this kind of stuff and so you might have to explain it a bit further than what that link says. I did fastboot reboot bootloader in terminal but it can't find my device. Also I couldnt get into recovery when it was bricked so I probably still can't

Hey...
You boot into bootloader when the Device is powered off
Just like in your video: with power + volume down
You can see infos regarding:
Bootloader
Radio
S/N
DRAM
Boot-slot=
Etc...
This is the bootloader :good:
From here, unzip the google image you have downloaded, open the folder and from here run the flash-all script. Let your device reboot. Power it down, boot into bootloader again with power + volume down. Change active slot as I described in the link I gave you previously. Run the same flash-all again... Done!
Just for safety, remove your Google account before you continue. You'll add it again later...
Good luck...

Hey... Flash both slots... Just to be sure both are clean and nothing problematic remains on your device before locking your bootloader!
It could brick installing an OTA or whatever. Better restart 100% clean. :good:
Cheers...
Just flash the flash-all, relock and call it a day. Then you'll be fully stock and locked. I would however recommend rebooting once before locking to make sure its all good.

Ah but to change from China to global ROM or the other way requires unlocked boot loader...
Otherwise stuff like this happens.
The boot loader can be relocked again after the process.
Since the boot loader is locked there is less chance to solve the problem as you won't be able to flash twrp or use fastboot to flash firmware to the phone.
Another solution will be needed
That exactly happened to me.
I unbricked my phone with testpoint method.
It's easy procedure but you will have to open up your phone..
I Did it and never opened a phone before, its about open it and link 2 dots with a wire or something, and Then it goes to download mode and allows you to use mi flash and flash mi6. I recommend chinese developer rom (it will allow you to unlock bootloader afterwards)
Watch this russian guy do it, he makes it easy it took hours for me just search "mi6 testpoint" on YouTube
I got it fixed thank you guys

Am I just having a bunk phone or is anyone else having this issue?
Whenever I try to set up the lock screen code on the reconfirm the code screen it freezes after I put in the code and will not proceed.
This is a known issue, you have to cycle a bootloader lock and unlock WITHOUT setting any pin. Make sure to be completely stock tho before locking

Yeah, it's super weird. Just unlocking the bootloader causes this. But yeah from what I understand you should be completely unrooted and with stock boot images and or init boot images when relocking.
I am working on a Oneplus 11 phone where they had this same issue and he attempted to cycle lock/relock with the patched boot.img still loaded!
It is in a semi-unlocked state I would call it now where it says unlocked status (which it is) but unlocking is enabled and greyed out in dev options.
The bigger issue is that the Phone works fine but you cannot get to bootloader anymore to unlock. Never seen this....any suggestions?
...does Oneplus have something like Odin and can reflash full stock?

Only over fastootd or with msm tool (msm tool need authentication )
I just flashed the whole OS on Oneplus 11 using software called Fastboot enhance.
Actually, my op 11 was bootlooping but by using fastboot enhance software I flashed my original OS on the phone. Let everyone know, they don't need Odin or MSM for that. It's very easy and one-click process.
Same problem, was advised to lock and unlock the bootloader. I locked it and didn't realize that I had to go back to stock first and now I'm stuck in a boot loop. I can get into recovery with vol down and power, but cannot get into fastboot with vol up and power. Where do I go from here?
Sorry, I want to identify that this issue happen even I have not rooted?

Only when you have a convertet op11 (china ) and flash this to oos than after an oos Update you have flash back an image from coloros without this image the op 11 will bootloop
And when you have root and lock with root the bootloader than you have an bootloop
