How to compile a android kernel with clang? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, I want to compile my own kernel. Following some tutorials, I know that I need a toolchain called Clang. I downloaded AOSP Clang and AOSP GCC as the tutorial says. But I cannot compile the kernel. There are some errors and GCC will be dreprecated. The tutoriales I follow are old. Do you know some updated tutorial to build an android kernel? Thank you.

Porting Roms

Can someone point me in the direction of a thorough in-depth guide on how to port roms? Been looking everywhere and find outdated guides.
Here is how to build from AOSP:

The ROM developers will have information on how to build from their source.

Magisk patched stock BTJ4 kernel for G980F

Very responsive and camera is greatly improved. Also face recognition works blazing fast.
Flash it with twrp or any other flasher app such as Franco Kernel manager.

No, only for G980F. It is rooted but you need an initial process. It needs TWRP in short.
