sec-battery-monitor kernel wakelock - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to all.
I know this tablet is old and with few support but suddenly (I guess just a few months ago) started having a kernel wakelock (sec-battery-monitor) that doesn't allow my Tab S (8.4, T700) to enter into deep sleep.
I use BetterBatteryStats to see the wakelocks.
The Tab S is rooted with latest Magisk (18.1) running debloated Stock marshmallow.
I tried different combinations of software but can't find this issue culprit.
Anyone else is having this problem or had it in the past and found a solution?
Thanks in advance!

Apps stop working after reboot

Yesterday I encountered a very strange issue on my Note II. After a reboot some of my apps stop working. At first was ES File Manager, Solid Explorer, Battery Monitor Widget PRO and Android Tuner. After a shutdown and a overnight charging suddenly Solid Explorer started working but the others don't. Any idea who is the culprit here? An app or something related to ROM or kernel? I am using ARHD8 and NEAK kernel.
Hi Ookami,
I had a very similar experience to what your describing, with apps vanishing on a reboot. This was using Westcrips Resurection rom V1.00 and I never did figure out what was causing it.
However, updating to his 1.0.1 rom seems to have magically fixed this issue. I was also using the NEAK kernel, possibly an issue there?
Dave.

Probably yes. Before that I used NEAK kernel with stock ROM and everything worked fine so I can't find out if this problem is related either in ROM or/and kernel. The only solution is, don't reboot phone.

Battery drain since 10th jan 2014 with CM11 nightly

hello,
since the 10th jan 2014 i have some strange problems with the CM11 nightlies. Actually im testing at the moment if cm10.2 solves the issue.
The issue is:
huge battery drain. I think its related to the google framework, since there was some update recently.
What i already did, and which did not work, is that i updated the recovery to 6.0.4.5 and my modem to latest version.
This worked fine, but the issue did persist.
So: has anyone of you a idea what i can do?

About which model exactly you are talking about?

The european LTE model, namely GT-I9595. And yes i installed the correct modem as well as recovery.
And by the way: when my battery drains so fast (and the device also heats up, i think because my CPU is permanently at max clock and with 100% load. Also the device starts to lag and has problems waking up from being locked), the Wi-Fi has also some strange behaviour. For example i cant deactivate it without crashing the settings app.
Oh and: Yes i am on a clean install not using any backups.
UPDATE:
The problem is gone with cm 10.2 stable.
But i want cm11... so nobody with a idea?

Issues

Does anyone have random reboot issues with their device? This has happened many times. I wake up to find my phone in the rebooted state. Also the WiFi Kappa turning on randomly.
I have updated to the latest Oxygen OS when I recieved the phone. Phone is not rooted. If anyone is also having issues and has a fix, kindly let me know!
Thanks!

S9 Freeze in sleep mode after installing magisk. Need a kernel for a stock firmware

Hi, my s9 is constantly freezing in sleep mode after installing magisk and stock firmware G960FXXU2BRGA_G960FOXM2BRGA_BTU
ive heard its connected with kernels security of rooting. Does anyone knows which kernel should i flash and where to find it to root my device safely?
The same thing with xef and magisk 17.1
Might want to search before posting.
When you root with stock rom you will freeze because of security
Aand theres someone who already posted a kernel, even a stock rooted rom
Sorry, but I don't understand the answer.
I searched but I did not find any information related to my problem
I am not an expert and I had to make a huge mistake
what should I do ?
Can you help me ?
Solved with SOD killer, but the battery is emptying very quickly (25 % in 12h00) and running at 455 Mhz 95% of the time !
What else to do ?
I did not see anything else on the forum

Question Random reboots Android 13 on A528B

Hello there,
I walked into a problem some time ago. My phone with rooted android 13 version, runnning Ncx S21FE custom rom, randomly reboots.
But, only after I turn off the screen to ´standby´ mode. I do not have any modules installed except the Systemless hosts and Hex installer module (Hex editor app). Is there someone else with this problem or knows how to fix this?
Help would be very appreciated, thanks!
You should get a logcat and send it to the developer of the custom ROM you are running.

How can I get it?
It happens only when phone is idle. When playing spotify on background and screen is turned off it doesn't happen, only when I do not use my phone
