(Request) Informer apk - Fire TV Themes and Apps

I'm looking for the Informer APK from AFTVNews. Any filehost is fine. Thanks in advance.

It's in the marketplace, just search from your fire device

If only I had thought of that! I don't have access to the marketplace Captain Obvious. I am one of the lucky ones who has an early enough firmware that I was able to disable Amazon's stock launcher and debloat the device. Unfortunately that disables the marketplace as well. So do you have the file or not? If so, drop a link. If not move along.

Here you go, should of stated you didn't have access to the marketplace, you should consider losing the attitude when people are trying to help.

Big problem with pop up ads....

Hi guys. I'm experiencing something that is taken away from my great experience so far using android. A couple of weeks ago I downloaded gReader (free edition) to read my feeds. Everything went fine until I used the help/about page. When I used this part of the app I was sent to a porn ad. Thinking that it was a problem isolated to that part of the app I didn't use the help section again. Today after I downloaded ChompSMS and set it up, I went to send a text and the app redirected me to another porn page.
What the hell is up with that? I was running AVG antivirus but it didn't block the ad. I have downloaded now Avast antivirus because my brother recommended this app as being better that AVG.
Now I ask of all of you. What can I do to prevent this from happening? I'm running stock 4.0.2 on a GSM Nexus. I have only downloaded apps from the store and 4 apps from the web (amazon appstore, volume+ from devs web site, get jar from official site and play store update from xda). Any help will be very appreciated.

Did you uninstall the original app (gReader) and made sure all of its contents were cleared?
Well I think your phone is tying to seduce you... Man what can't this amazing phone do!

Easiest way to stop ads is to root your phone and install adfree from the market (or play store as its now known).
Mark.

Rooting is considered tampering as far as the manufacturers terms go. It would void the warranty if rooting was related to the problem you are experiencing when sending the phone in.

Instead of going through the process of rooting your phone and installing an ad blocker how about just ditching the app that is causing the porn ads.
If you don't know which app is doing this then download Lookout Ad Network Detector.
Ad Network Detector scans your phone or tablet for the presence of the most common ad networks used in mobile apps, giving you insight into what types of ads can be displayed, and what information is gathered by the ad networks. With easy access to this information, you'll be able to decide whether you want to keep the app that has certain ad networks on your phone.

Well, I guess you are right.
Basically, the things that could happen to prevent you from not being able to "unroot" are the following:
1) Device does not power on; or
2) USB port stops working. But in this case, there are still ways to "unroot" in most instance.

If your usb port isn't working, chances are you can't charge your phone and it won't have power to reverse the root.
Either way, if Samsung deems your device was broken because of rooting, then you're screwed.

I recommend Adaway instead of AdFree too (that is after you unlock and root your phone). Extremely rare when I see an ad in anything. AdFree I was seeing ads still. That was the worst part when I got my Android was all the BS popups and inline ads, it drove me nuts in less than 3 days.
Did you uncheck interest based ads if so could be a bad app

Adfree Android not blocking ads within Dolphin HD

I'm not sure if it's a problem with my phone or the apps themselves. Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this problem?
Also sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum.

my experience with adfree is, that this app filters not all ad´s. but a lot of. I think it is important what information is inside the host files which you must download. Maybe it is a good idea that you renew this file every day. Try it.

If you want Ad-free app to block apps, then you must be download n installing the host files regularly...
Everyday, new adds are posted and Ad-free doesn't recognize that automatically...
So, open the app, select BOOT NORMALLY and select "DOWNLOAD & INSTALL HOSTS"
That shud keep those pestering ads away...
I found when using it that it also blocked web sites from loading like mediafire... Think because it its ad heavy.so you may find it causes other issues.

Actually I do update it everyday. It filters everything else except for Dolphin HD.

You might also want to consider AdAway from one of the Dev here on XDA. Available off the market Great host file collection. I usually update once a week.

I love this app, totally recommend it!

I've been using it for quite a while as well. Best one I've seen to far and even speedup some of my apps as they don't have to load ads from other sources. LOVE IT.
I've switched to Adaway. This is much better! I have one complaint, but it's a minute one. The ads are gone but the banners where they were are still there. Instead of an ad it just shows a message saying something about "not able to load." does anyone know how to get rid of that? It's not a huge issue but it'd be nice if it was gone.

That depends entirely on the app.
If there's a placeholder for banners, nothing can remove it, but the developer himself.

I guess I will have to wait until the next game to see if the audio streaming functionality is there. But my gut tells me that NFL has two apps...One for phones and one for tablets and I think that the apk you posted is for the phone. One reason is because the name of the apk includes the word "lite"
com.gotv.nflgamecenter.us.lite-216.apk
Also the NFL Audiopass faq said this:

Yes I keep encountering apps that don't appear in the market. They may very well work, but won't appear for nexus 7/jelly bean.
Some examples?
linephone
GT racing Hyundai edition
And there are lots of others that I can't think of now. Since owning this nexus (since launch date) I've probably encountered 30-40 apps that aren't available on the market. And I know there are lots others. Didn't really bother me at first, but I thought with how much this has sold that developers would issue (what would be minor most of the time) updates so these would be available.
And I've never bothered looking into it, but I know obviously you can keep an apk when downloading it from the market and others have posted them on various websites for others in situations like this, however my understanding is with jb it encrypts them so this is no longer possible with jb.
Because sometimes I get determined and go hunting for an apk and it turns out to be two versions behind or whatever. Is there a way to download apks even on jb? Is there an app that can do this? I'm not saying this regarding pirating, just another means of trying to get apps that are free that would more than likely work on this device.

Which is exactly what got me to patch the apk to remove that check. They should really have filtered it out using the Play Store filters instead if they didn't want tablet users.

Not bad...still prefer tweetdeck.
I designed this app to work on Mobiles, filtering it through Play Store would filter some of the big phones, that was our doubt.
I designed it, and I can tell, that it's an awkward app to be used on a Tablet. I did announce (I'm still not allowed to post links here since I haven't passed 10 posts yet) that we're working on a Tablet app. Check our page on Google+ (+CarbonAndroid)
C'mon guys! Patch an app, jus' like that? And hosting it on Dropbox? Months of work and you guys deal with it just like that? C'mon!

Come on, after months and months of "developing", still no widget, no tablet support? Yes, you say you are working on a tablet app, but considering how long the phone app took, which is no more than a beta, it looks like a heck of a long time to wait for possible vaporware, especially considering the history of this app.

How does this stack up to plume and falcon pro

I agree that it probably doesn't work that well on 10" tablets but the experience on the Nexus 7 in portrait mode is good. Also, I assumed people using the modified app also used your app on their phone in most cases which means that no extra API token is taken up, unlike the included multi-user feature. I patched the app for my personal use but since people requested it I posted it here.
I honestly fail to see what your problem is with this. XDA users post patched APKs all the time to remove arbitrary limitations (Hulu, Netflix and Swype to name a few). If/when you release a tablet app, even a paid one, the interest for this will go away if the experiance is better. I'd be willing to remove the link to the patched APK when you release the tablet version. Until then, this is the only way for tablet users to enjoy your work.
