Hi All,
with the new pie update it seems to me Gmail losts the possibility to set different sounds for different email inbox.
So since I have six different email adress, now the notification sound is the same for all.
Is there a way to assign different sounds?

Is there a way to create (via regedit?) different notifications for different email accounts?
I use XpressMail, Exchange OTA, and POP, but there's only one notification type under "Sounds and Notifications"

Can you have different sound notifications for sms and exchange emails? I know you can have different ones for gmail and specific contacts can have specific ring tones etc, but i can't seem to get a different tone for my sms messages to my work exchange emails Hopefully i'm just being blind and one of you clever lot will point me in the right direction!!

Create a folder on your sd card called notifications put what sounds you want on it then go into sound settings pick what sound you want as an email notification then go into the sms application where you will be able to set a different sound for your sms

I have a business exchange account and pricate gmx account on my HTC Desire. Now I want to set different email notification sounds on it but I can´t find the option to do this for each account for itself.
any ideas?

I am currently getting one notification for every new email. I would rather get one notification every time email is checked and there are new messages. I cannot find any such settings, is it possible? I am running CM9 with android 4.04 by the way.
are you talking about Gmail or the regular email/email exchange?
to fix that in Gmail there is a setting you have to select where you only get one notification for all email instead of a notification for every new email
I have made the switch from a nice blackberry torch 9800- which I had no issue with at all. It was getting super tired and needed to be put to rest, it is grateful.
The new HTC does everything better than the torch(shocking, I KNOW!). However, there is only one thing that I could do with that BB that I cannot figure out how to do with the HTC and it is a HUGE issue for me. I need a customized alert/notification/ringtone for specific email contacts (SMS would also be nice, but not a major issue). In other words when I get an email (gmail only) from someone specific, I need the notification tone/ringer to tell me I have email from them, specifically. I really only have 3 or 4 that need to be customized.
I have several international contacts who I do not speak to on the phone (i.e. they do not call me) so, I do not have telephone numbers for them. I have Skype addresses and email addresses for them. With the BB, I added them to contacts (w or w/o a phone number) and if I received an email to my gmail account I was alerted with a specific chosen ringtone. Email that was sent from others had a generic notification tone.
Is there an app? a tweak? something I am missing? If the BB can handle this, surely Android can do the same? I have added them to my phone contacts and entered the email address in the information- chosen the specific tone for that contact. I have received emails from them and I still just get the standard default email notification sound.
