Seems like it has stopped working for most people over the past week that are rooted w magisk. I assume the problem is w magisk , just wondering what other people are experiencing
Having the same issue. I never used it much but I decided to try setting it up for in store use. Says it won't work because my device is rooted. On stock Pie with Kiri kernal and latest magisk. I've tried hiding magisk from pay and even totally hiding magisk and nothing.

Hi all, I recently rooted my phone and for some reason Netflix won't launch at all. It just hangs on the Netflix logo. If I reninstall the app on first launch the app will force close and then after re-lauch it will once again hang on the Netflix logo. I've cleared the cache and deleted any folders relating to netflix. I'm not sure what to try next or if anyone has any advice on how to fix this that would be amazing. thank you!
Edit: I've found a solution to this problem! Follow this guide here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ap...le-netflix-t3708126/post74586497#post74586497
After downloading and installing the old April 2017 Netflix app simply lauch
The app and sign in. After you have signed in update the app on Google play
And you should be good to go! Hope this helps anyone else with the same
Issue ?
Netflix doesn't work on rooted deviced it checks if your device is rooted and if so won't work.

I've had Netflix work on every previous rooted phone i have had, is this just a Razer phone issue? Even hiding the root from Netflix in Magisk doesn't seem to do anything.

The bootloader needs to be locked. I would not advise trying it unless the phone is 100% stock as there have been issues mentioned in the past.

It's either root or bootloader it checks but it's only something they started doing months ago. pokemon go does it too.

Damn, that's discouraging. No wonder why I've been holding off rooting this device. I'm not use to a/b root anyway. Before my razer, I had an s5 for many years so I know a lot of things have changed since then.
I was running Android 9 Aug?2018 update with a custom kernel and Magisk. A few weeks ago Google Pay stopped working and i read the long thread here about the Google Play store update and Magisk no longer hiding root. I dirty flashed an updated stock rom and removed the format (-w) switch. I stayed with the stock kernel. Re-rooted with update Magisk root and Magisk app. In Magisk i pass SafetyNet Check ctsProfile and basicIntegrity. When i try to use Google Pay I still get the error message that i cannot use GooglePay there. I am very close to just going completely stock with no root as I am not jacking with my phone as much as i did years ago, android is progressing nicely and plus many devs have moved on from the P2XL. I just really dont want to have to re setup my phone. Any thing else i can try to use GooglePay before i go back to stock?
P2XL Bootloader unlocked
Android: 9.0 3/5/19
Magisk V19.0 (19000)
Magisk Manager 7.1.1
Not running any Magisk Modules
Thanks for any help or suggestions

There is a lot of talk in many threads about this. There is a good tutorial or two around that do work but seemingly only temporarily then it breaks again. Seems Google would a way to detect stuff that is not patched yet. I am at work so I don't have much time to go searching but it should not be hard to find. It includes deleting a folder and reinstalling and hiding magisk.

Yea, I've been through that 106 page thread and a few others. Renamed folders, deleted folders, reinstalled apps, hid services in magisk hide. I was never a fan of NFC payment until I started using it lol.
Try safety patch module in Magisk to pass Safetynet

I appreciate the reply. installed this plugin. cleared cache/data for Google Pay and Deleted the GMS folder again. Reinstalled GPay, no joy
Trying to decide on checking out Android Q or Dirty Unicorn. I dont jack with my phone much anymore, may be worth it to checkout Q and lock it up for GPAY atleast for now.

I'm thinking the same
Using the stock firmware Android 10 (QQ1A.200205.002) on a P2XL with an unlocked bootloader
Running Magisk 20.3
Running Magisk Manager 7.5.1
Hiding Multiple apps and also Hiding the Magisk Manager app
I am able to pass the SafetyNet Check
ctsProfile = true
basicIntegrity = true
I am reading multiple things over and over about getting Google Pay to work again but some people's replies appear to be more unique depending on the phone and version of the image. Anyone have any advice specifically for Android 10 on P2XL?
It's your lucky day lol I had a Magisk module sitting on my computer its a Google Pay Bypass so pretty much it doesn't check that your phone is rooted with the app and works flawlessly everytime i use it. This module will definitely work along with Android 10, it can be flashed through either recovery mode or magisk.
Btw the file is safe to use as well and save it on your pc in case this link ever disappears or gets removed.

After finally getting a ROM installed, I found out that Google pay won't work, along with Samsung pay in the Galaxy watches.
They know the system is rooted and what not I even tried to use magisk hide but it doesn't seem to work for these apps. Is there anyway I can restore this functionality?
Magisk Hide is useless for Google Pay it'll still detect your phone if its still rooted. There's a magisk module called GPay SQlite it pretty much patches the part where google tries to detect if the device is rooted. I've been using this module for a long time and hasn't failed once on me, its definitely worth your time installing this one.
Here's the link to the forum which has the download on there.

I have a Gear S3 and it seems to work well ONLY if you hide Magisk Manager and then use Magisk hide Samsung Pay. This is as of a couple weeks ago when all the bootloader unlock detection was happening. I haven't tried since then. You can fail CTS/Safetynet, but still get Samsung Pay to work.

Hi, y'all.
So I have just updated to the new A12 ColorOS on my Op9pro, and I really don't like it. I browsed this forum and found Paranoid was making a rom for the OP. Is it then possible to run this rom without getting a message on for an example MS Teams that my phone is rooted? Last time I tried with an other rom, with magisk hide - I encountered this problem.
Thanks!
Should be fine with Magisk Deny list and hiding Magisk application

You will be almost good to go with Magisk DenyList + Universal SafetyNet Fix. I'm using these with DerpFest and all of my banking apps have no complaints whatsoever
The reason why I use "almost" is because some banking apps have their counter measures so im not sure, but at least banking app that I'm using are all passed and good to go with these two.
