Different hardware in Chinese, European, US and "Global" versions? - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Questions & Answers

Just wondered (a) if there were hardware differences between the different versions I see being discussed (Chinese / Global ?) and also (b) how can I tell which model Mi Mix 2 I have?
I flashed the latest MIUI "Global" ROM but if I understand correctly, that could be applied to any hardware variant and doesn't imply that mine is the "Global" hardware.
Thanks,

As far as I understand there is no HW difference

Is there any difference between the EU and the US versions of this phone?

Hi
Is there any difference between the EU and the US versions of this phone?
- or they are both the same (hardware and software)/
Thanks
Hardware is the same.
Software: The US / UK / DE versions are all multi language, the TTS voices are of course different for each version, WiFi country codes are different (number of possible channels, etc.)
The US "GSM unlocked" version is the most suitable for Gapps.

Is there any different in 3 OP3 models other than bands?

I found out there're 3 different models here.
North America model
Europe / Asia model
China model
Since we are close to China, I think I'm getting a China model. What's bugging me is I don't know if custom ROMs posted in OP3 Android Development sections will compatible with China model. I came from a device which have 14 different models with single-dual sim & regional mixed it's all so confusing that I ended up flashing incompatible ROMs several times. Can anyone help me confirm that please?
Just got my Chinese model today. Unlocked bootloader, flashed OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_011_all_1607052050_0e5983ace5314161 and rooted. Everything seems to work fine.
It came with Hydrogen OS (and full of Chinese crapware)

Could you flash a North American model baseband to test if the China model and US model are essentially the same? Both of the two are named A3000 after all.

Different variants and B20 unlock

Hi guys. I've just found out that there are different versions of Lenovo P2. I've found the p2a42 version on the cheap (less than 190€) but it has no B20 LTE. Is it possible to unlock this band considering the fact that there are some versions that have it active? And apart from LTE bands are there other differences between other phone versions?
Are you sure it doesn't support b20?
Mine does it, that's why I'm asking.
If it's really a version without b20,
you should only buy it, if you can live without it.
I didn't hear of an unlock method for the P2.
Best regards
There are ONLY 2 versions in terms of hardware.
P2a42 has 32GB storage and has B20. (International version )
P2c72 has 64GB storage and does not have B20. (Chinese version )
However, you may get confused because sometimes they take the p2c72 hardware and put the p2a42 software (to get English rom).
You can search p2c72 on these forums for more info.
i have c72 hw but came fashed with a42 .... is my bootloader already unlocked? how to verify if it's locked?
following. i especially want band 28 700mhz and band 7 2600mhz unlocked

Question Stock Rom "versions"

Hi there,
I would like to flash realme Stock Rom On my realme c21 phone. On the web "oppostockrom.com" there Are many different versions/files
Example :
Realme_c21_rmx3201_PU_11_A.23_210210_rft.zip
Or
Realme_c21_rmx3201_PU_11_A.29_210419_rft.zip
...
Oppo Stock ROM
Find Oppo and Realme Stock ROM (Firmware) for various Oppo/Realme Devices. All the Oppo/Realme Firmwares listed are available for free.
oppostockrom.com
I dont know how do they differ - I dont known what do thé numbers And letters mean. So i dont know which one to choose.
Can anybody Tell me what Is thé difference; or better: give me advice how to get known which version do i Need for my phone
Thanks
Yes, it's confusing. I can only tell you the number after the A is a build number. https://realmefirmware.com/realme-c21-firmware/ has some versions broken down by region.
Any it the android 10 stock ROMs will work an you change your region firmware as as stated before. Android 10;firmwares start with a.xx.xx
The android 11 firmwares are more specific to region from android 10, and hence you will need to download the correct update from website or pick a region and wait for ota update.
Android 11 firmwares are c.xx builds
Here I am again
Finally I have found compatibile stock ROM file. BUT there is still little difference in the file name: the letters in the end of the codename are different:
Built number of my phone:
RMX3201VF_11_C.11
The chosen stock ROM name is:
RMX3201GDPR_11_C.11
What does there letters mean? Is this diference problem? In the web www.realmefirmware.comhttps://realmefirmware.com/realme-c21-firmware/ there is no file with "VF" in the name.
Thanks

I think you'll find the version with GDPR is the name is the European version. GDPR most likely stands for the EU General Data Protection Regulation
It's possible the version with VF in the name is a version specific to Vodafone. Is yours a Vodafone branded phone? As realmefirmware.com is a 3rd party site it does not have firmware links for every region.

Hm. It's strange, my phone isn't branded and never have been. But I am in EU and my phone was bought here, so I will probably use the "GDPR" version.

It's up to you. The safest strategy would probably be to return the phone to Android 10 and let the phone update itself to Android 11 based on its own location setting. Assuming that's how that update works.
Ok. I will think about your method. As you said I Could use any A.xx (android 10) version
I'm just going by smiley.raver's post.

Oh, sorry. Yeah, like he said
Hey guys, sorry for late reply.
Gdpr is global.
A.53, a.23, a37 etc is androids 10 realme ui1 global varient use region changer to change which region
Global gdrp c_03, c_ 09,c_11 is android 11 realme ui1 global
Export, ex c_03,c_09c_011 is non global and generally has a region attached to it

There is 2 EU versions EUEX AND EU brande
Euex is your no branded EU varient otherwise there is the EU branded varients which are generally your Vodafone brands etc which are labelled generally like any other regions firmware.
Under android 10 region selector is the best screen to see this on. Otherwise there is a few files on /system (just have to find them againyself) that have the different firmware regions) can't cahnge it this way but just a good list.
List of regions

Question Is the NA version of OnePlus 11 different from Global?

Just was wondering if I can flash the EU or Global firmware on the NA variant?
will I have any problems if I do so? is there any difference in the hardware??
I saw many people said that the difference is the frequency bands for mobile networks but what i'm asking is on hardware level is there any difference??
