CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
NOTICE: THIS IS AN EARLY BUILD. There will be changes in the release branches like changed/removed features or similiar.
BUGS:
We found the camera to be a little wonky on occasion. Working on that. Currently waiting between pictures is working around the issue.
Video Recording is not working
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub...
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! These builds are experimental and can contain Bugs (as listed above). Make sure to do backups.
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
5) Please keep bugreports to this thread or Discord. Do NOT create a Jira ticket. This is still in early development so we don't accept any bugreports yet.

Thanks man, you're so happy :')
Super. What about Z3 Dual D6633?
@Myself5
Can it be that the newest CR 7.0 build isn't compatible with twrp data backup?
I'm asking because i installed the new build yesterday and after that i restore my data over twrp.
Result: The Launcher 'QuickApp' crashed within seconds again and again. So the whole phone wasn't usable anymore.
I first thought the Problem could be the live wallpaper app but the same behavior occured as i restore my twrp data backup without it.

What build were you coming from? We switched launchers at some point and the new one appears to be incompatible with data from the old one, which is why you need to wipe it's app data/need to clean install.

That would explain it.
I'm coming from the build with the name
'CARBON-CR7.0-TBA-UNOFFICIAL-z3-20190129-1229.zip
I flashed his ROM After Modifying the Updater-Script And Everything works perfectly on my Z3 DUAL D6633 except. In the first build the only problem was that the mic did not work in calls but in the second build the mic did not work in calls and the phone heats up really bad even when idle i had to use kernel auditor to stop the over heating issue but i could not find a solution for the mic problem. I worked around Other minor problems such as the camera by flashing the stock sony album and camera app and for getting back the dual sim capability i flashed a dual sim patch i got on an other thread.

Yeah even i had the same issue when restoring the data and even more severe problems and i too came the "'CARBON-CR7.0-TBA-UNOFFICIAL-z3-20190129-1229" [the 1st build] but i did a clean install again after wiping everything and it works fine but when you with restore the data the rom just gets so corrupted.
Thanks so much !!!!!!!!!

Tested and working
Hello,
After testing quickly I've noted:
- Some windows seems to be closed as soon as they open. For instance, when using the Google Play Store, upon installing, the confirmation sceen is displayed very quickly and then the sofware installs...
- The WiFi access point doesn't seems to be working: after enabling, it turns off automatically.
What is the proper way to submit feedback for the Z3 / Android 9 version of CarbonRom?
Regards,
N

Did you do a clean install? The premier issue looks to be caused by a dirty flash.
WiFi hotspot is being worked on (and actually fixed by @NeoArian on the Z3C already).
Submitting feedback should be done in this thread for now, official feedback (once official) can be done using the official ways then.

- Yes it was made from clean install (I had also to reformat /data to remove encryption from CR6.1).
- Great for the WiFi hotspot
- OK for providing feedback here!

None at all. I don't have a DualSIM variant and the diff to the non DualSIM variant is big enough for me to not be willing to risk blindly supporting it. I'll try my best to not purposely break things on it, but I'm not going to officially support it. If the patch thats floating around works, then that's great and if it doesn't then I'm sorry but I won't fix that.

You should place the file in the main folder of internal storage, and try rebooting the phone many times, eventually it will work,as long as your IMEI numbers are correct and baseband version is existing
Good morning,
It can happen that the phone doesn't wake up from sleep. After some inactivity time, the phone shuts the screen down (as expected). Pushing the power button is supposed to trigger a wake up. I can see that there is a change in the screen: it turns from off to dark/black. It's faint, I assume the screen backlight gets turned on, but nothing gets displayed, the screen stays black.
This behavior occurred twice. The second time, after several minutes, I could see that the lock screen was being displayed for a short time before the screen turned black again.
In both cases, I had to forcefully reboot the phone.
Is it a known issue?
I also suspect there might be an issue with alarms, maybe when the device is being charged. I haven't yet been able to prove it. I'll follow up if/when I have more details to share.
Regards,

So I installed the jailbreak a few months back and have been waiting eagerly for a ROM and searching around... but from what I have read, the sch-i925 version note 10.1 doesn't have the same partitions as other 10.1's, so I haven't found a ROM for it.
What confuses me is that people seem to be returning back to stock... and in the first line of the instructions of this ROM I find:

So... what other ROM?? How did I miss that?
I'm super happy that I finally find a ROM for this tablet, but why now a few day's after the first post of this great news... why I'm the first posting here?? Nobody else jumping out of their seats in joy??
Also, I'm curious... does the CM include phone capabilities? I'm in Iceland and the Icelandic version of this tablet is basically just a very large phone, I'm hoping this ROM will get me there since now I cant even use the mobile networks at all because I have no Verizon SIM and even if I did - it would be ridiculously expensive
I'm looking forward to testing this out, will post my results

Do you mean it includes the phone app, but somehow is still limited to Verizon?? If its a new ROM, why is it still locked to a certain carrier??
So I was about to install CWM when I got into trouble connecting detecting the tablet with both heimdall and odin. Adb detects the device... perhaps a driver issue because of ADB... perhaps it doesnt matter
I booted into recovery only to find the TWRP that I haven't used yet, it came when I installed adams jailbreak. Im not familiar with TWRP but it looks pretty good. Do I need to install CWM or is TWRP good enough??
*edit: No problem connecting to ODIN on a different computer, so now I can install CWM if needed.
Could you let me know if I can use the TWRP recovery instead of the CWM?
Also, did you mean that this ROM is locked to Verizon mobile network?

I believe this rom is specifically for the verizon version of the n8020. There is a port for the international version.

I also believe that this rom is specifically for the verizon version of the n8020 (the sch-i925). I have the Verizon SCH-i925 Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 which is a LTE version. So this rom should fit pretty well I dont believe I can use the n8020 ROM's because of some different partitions from what I have read.
Can I install this rom with TWRP recovery or is CWM a prerequisite?
I didn't quite understand your reply, even if the Rom is designed specifically for this tablet, that does not mean it is still locked to the network provider. Is it still locked?
Thanks again, cant wait to try it

cwm is just recommended for official cm builds but twrp should work. and no its not locked onto verizon it is just designed for it. moving it to another carrier would require slight modification

So the install went great - No problems with TWRP, ROM or Gapps... smooth sailing!
The only changes to the tablet prior to this install was following Adams guide on how to unlock the bootloader. I also had not installed any updates from Verizon.
The ROM I installed was the cm-10.2-20130904-NIGHTLY-i925.
I also didn't install CWM, the TWRP that i got from unlocking the bootloader worked just fine.
Here is the bug list:
The Bug List:
1. GPS is working just fine.
2. I haven't tried the BT voice search.
3. 5ghz WIFI not working - I also needed to reboot to get 2.4ghz working again
4. No graphical issues yet, I test played raging thunder racing game and no problems there at least.
Other Bugs:
Camera:
No camera app found. I installed Nexus camera from market but it gave an error: "Can't connect to the camera". Also, my flashlight app can not use the camera flash.
I noticed that in folder /root/sys/class/camera/ there is only two documents "front" and "rear" which are both empty 0.00B files. Was looking for the cause, perhaps this helps?
Mobile network *Edit: Not a problem anymore:
In order to search for networks, the APN needs to be configured first! I am using my normal phone Icelandic SIM now and can use 3G in here in Iceland, send texts and after downloading a dialer I can now make phone calls also
Besides that, the OS is working great... 4.3 is pretty cool Its a real bust that the camera isn't working, I hope that gets fixed since its the only downside of this upgrade.
I'll keep a watch on this forum, so let me know if I can send you any info about my install. I'll also keep an eye on the upgrades and report if my problems get solved
Thanks for this ROM

Good question, I'm glad I downloaded all of them, I suspected they might only have space for 5 there! Just wait a second, I'll google this for you.
Sorry for the wait, it was only a minute though... but I found this for you:
http://goo.im/devs/cm/i925/nightly
I guess I didn't need to download all of them after all. By the way, September 2 worked better than September 1 so Im using that now.
Im going to check the 8th of sept ROM tonight... perhaps its all fixed there, will report
I've got the latest 9/9 nightly flashed on my i925 and don't see an option to add APN's nor make calls.
Can I just download any Dialer from the market and calling will work?
My intention is to test it with the AT&T $35 month prepaid plan, but I hear already that supposedly Medianet Internet doesn't work.
If that doesn't pan out, I'm going to be trying a Staight Talk AT&T sim.
*EDIT* I downloaded Dialer One and that seems to work
@Snarlster, how did you edit the APN for data?
TBH I think so far the features of stock are more rich

You need to create an APN in "Access Point Names". (press + sign at top right)
You should only needed to set the Name (You create name) + APN (supplied by provider), here in Iceland they provide this information on their webpage.. can be fine to add more settings but this is the minimum (at least here).
*remember to save, I missed it at least the first time but you got to press the 3 dots in top right and press save.
After that, search for networks, if error then restart and search for networks again.

After months, weeks, days and hundreds of hours of long & tedius work, I introduce the first properly ported Note 5 rom for the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4!!! With all of the current N5/S6 ports out there that have various major issues, I set out on a mission to conquer and masterfully port the Note 5 software version N920PVPS2AOK3. This has been a long hard journey to say the least. I have spent countless amounts of time on this and i'm quite confident that no other developer has taken as much time and devotion to a rom project as I have with this one. I guarantee there is no other Note 5 rom out there that operates and functions as flawless as this rom. Period. With great pride and a sense of accomplishment, I officially announce a new era of roms for the Sprint Note 4! (and possibly other variants in the future)
Before we get started, please take note: I do NOT give permission for anyone to use any portion of this rom in any other public rom projects. Period. My work here IS and should be considered THE authority of Note 5 ports without question. The proof is in the rom and it speaks for itself. Others will likely steal my work here and try to pass it off as their own work. I promise you that nobody would be able to port the N5 rom like this on their own in such short amount of time after this official release. I guarantee this will happen and I also guarantee that nobody else (aka rom chef/developer) here in the XDA Note 4 forums or any other tech site has contributed nor done any of the work & procedures to properly port their N5 roms. So be informed from this day forward that any future Note 5 roms that pop up here on XDA or elsewhere will most likely be using my work and formula without my permission or proper credit. Any other N5 based rom that is based on my work here that is approved by me WITH my permission will be stated as such in that rom thread's OP with a link to this official thread. If there is no credit given in the rom's OP it is being reproduced and shared WITHOUT my permission or approval.
WARNING!
This is a public warning to select individuals who are known to steal and "kang" other people's work. Do not even think about trying to copy or redistribute my roms or my work here! I WILL know if my rom/files are being used in other publicly shared rom projects. There is no way anyone can avoid me finding out. So don't make a fool of yourself in front of millions of XDA members around the world by trying to pull off an amazingly perfected N5 port rom as "your work" that you have downloaded and used without my approval or permission and place in your op that nobody has permission toy use "your" work. This is immature and flat out WRONG.. The way we do things here at XDA is very simple. Ask for permission to use other peoples' work and absolutely give them the credit that they truly deserve. However, due to the high number of "copycat" roms here on XDA I am publically announcing here and now that NOBODY has my permission to copy, mimic or reproduce the work in this rom or any of my future N5 ports. Period. I have been forced to make this decision by the actions of others.
Let's be respectful to one another and avoid you getting your reputation destroyed and XDA membership suspended or banned for these kind of immature actions. I absolutely WILL be watching along with many other people here at XDA. I will immediately report suspicious new rom threads once I have the information I need to verify that you stole my work. People are almost always willing to share their hard work with you if you just give them the credit they deserve. If this is beyond your way of thinking then you don't belong in this community and nobody will ever respect you or your work. That is NOT how the evolution of XDA developers works. Yes android is opensource and I understand all of that. That is not the point. The issue is moral and ethical and has nothing to do with opensource. You have been warned!
Now that's all out of the way let's get straight to business! First and foremost I want to Thank all of my friends and testers
here at XDA who have helped with testing and just being all around good friends. I will list these people below. Secondly I want to thank the many developers here at XDA that have contributed so much over the years. Without these specific people we would not be able to build or flash custom roms! Again, their credits will also be found below. Now let's get to the rom shall we?
About ROMWarning: This ROM is ONLY for the Sprint SM-N910P!!! DO NOT FLASH THIS ROM ON ANY OTHER MODEL!!! If you do then please don't ask for help in this thread. You are on your own! Know what you are doing before flashing and modifying your phone!!! Yes this is an amazing rom BUT it is for the Sprint network model SM-N910P ONLY!!! Please resist the urge to flash this rom on any other model. This is your fair warning.
Initial Release: v1.0
This is a "stock" build with no mods other than XtremeMusic audio technologies by @androidexpert35
Fully deodexed framework and system apps
Root by @Chainfire
Busybox
Init.d support
Native Hotspot unlocked. (you can update prl and profile without breaking hotspot)
100% Sprint Note 5 framework and system apps.
100% Sprint Note 4 system files for hardware & feature dependecies. Are we sensing a pattern here???
Absolutely ZERO international or non Sprint specific N4/N5 rom files where used in the making of this rom!
This rom is guaranteed to bring new life into your Note 4 and make you love it again.
Software version: N920PVPS2AOK3/N910PVPS4COK1 A true "Hybrid"
Kernel: Official Samsung N910PVPS4COK1 with root enabled by @freeza
Rom package Includes the latest OK1 modem & apn's that will flash along with the rom.
FeaturesThis is a stock rom running the stock samsung kernel. Nothing has been done to the rom that would break features or cause any other kinds of undesirable results. Although there are no significant problems in the rom, I do plan to continue making fine adjustments with libraries etc in order to make this rom as pefect as I can. Afterall it is a port and many things have to be done precicely for the smoothest and most trouble-free operation of the rom. Currently this rom is amazing. In the future it will be even more amazing. Rom includes all working features of the Sprint Note 5 software version N920PVPS2AOK3.
(No broken S6 Edge features will be included at this time until all of it's features are fixed)
All pre-installed Samsung apps have been updated to their latest versions as of the release date of this rom. This is why the rom is larger than your average rom. Some 64 bit apps can't be installed from the Galaxy apps store, therefore I have converted and pre-installed the latest versions of SNote, SNote Extension, SNote add-ons etc. Please be aware that If you delete or uninstall some of these specific apps, you will not be able to install them again from the Galaxy apps store. So back them up first!
Removed Itson
Removed Knox and related apk's & libs/modules
Removed Sprint bloat installer and sprint ID
Removed WhatsAppDownloader
Removed Facebook and facebook feature apps (can be downloaded from google Play)
Removed GameOptimizer (does not function on the Note 4's hardware without modifications. not important.)
Removed Lookout (can be downloaded through Google Play or Sprint Zone app)
Removed Samsung Kies (the stock preinstalled N5 Kies.apk does not function on our Note 4 so the latest version will need to be installed from Galaxy apps store)
Removed Samsung Pay and Payment Framework apk's (they are useless on rooted roms since they don't work if you have a rooted system or have tripped knox flag)
Replaced the Note 5 VoiceNote app with the Note 4's OK1 Voice Notes app because it supports the Note 4's 3 mics and has multiple recording scenarios unlike the Note 5 version. It's better.
Default notification panel toggles updated with additional toggles Samsung decided to hide from us.
(only functioning toggles are included. many of the extra toggles do not actually work because the features have been disabled or is for a different device/carrier)
Added the following apps:
Peel Smart Remote ( Why not? The Note 4 has a IR blaster unlike the note 5 )
Backup app
GifMaker app (is an add-on feature for the stock Samsung photo gallery and can be found in the stock gallery's menu)
Samsung fonts package (can be accessed from fonts settings. There's a lot so it takes a few seconds to load them all. when you open fonts settings be patient, they will load)
Video Editor full version (I fixed the internal linking from the stock samsung video app so it will take you straight to the video editor when pressing "edit" for a video)
Added Features:
XtremeMusic v7.0 by: @androidexpert35
Dolby ATMOS
Known issues:
This is the list of known minor issues upon initial release. Some are beyond my control.
non-issue but will mention... Sprint Zone will fc during initial rom setup. it is looking for the bloat installer and ID apps which are removed
FM radio is broken (I plan to finish solving this problem in the future as I have a good sense of direction to solve this )
World clock tab in the clock app does not work. (I know the cause of this problem and will try to fix it another time)
Some Samsung apps (specifically 64bit versions) cannot be updated through Samsung galaxy app store. This is to be expected and they will fail to install. Please consider this before you remove any stock samsung apps!
Did i miss anything? I think that's about it! Please report any issues or bugs if you find something. Also PM me so your report doesn't get overlooked.
Changelog***v1.0 Initial release (rom features listed above)***
***v1.1 (No longer available. Nothing to see here.)
***v1.2
Removed all audio mods
Fixed stock samsung audio
Fixed highest volume audio bug
Fixed Samsung SoundAlive (however the bass knob in SoundAlive has a bug where bass will drop if you turn it to the left. Leave it centered for the best results)
Added S6 Smart Manager
Fixed World Clock
Updated all apps
Fixed GPS issue
Rebuilt the entire rom and made underhood adjustments as needed
Flashing instructions:Before you flash this rom you absolutely MUST be running the latest OK1 software for the Sprint Note 4 with the latest bootloader as well as having your phone fully activated. While on the stock un-rooted OK1 rom, you will need to go to Settings/System updates and update PRL then update Profile. Reboot your phone and then go to Settings/Activate this device and launch it to properly activate your phone on the sprint network. Once this completes, make sure data, calls and gps works as it should. Once everything is activated and working, then proceed with the flashing instructions below. If you ignore these requirements please expect issues and don't ask for help until you do these initial steps.
You can either take the ota updates in order on your phone via OTA updates, or use odin to flash the software in order of release until you are fully updated. OTA updates on your phone are installed differently than odin packages therefore you may only have to take one or two updates to become current. The OTA updates run scripts to patch your current rom unlike odin tar packages that completely write the entire partition replacing everything clean. I will not go into great detail about that here. I have covered this many times in my other threads so if you aren't sure then do some searching here in the Note 4 forums.
***Before you flash any rom, please make sure your battery has at least 50% charge***
Lets begin...
1. Download the rom
2. Check the MD5!!! Use a MD5 checksum tool on your pc or phone (Google is your friend)
3. Copy the downloaded rom to your phone's internal storage or micro-sd card
Note: It has become apparent to me that if you are coming from another custom rom. especially another port rom, that you MUST also wipe your internal storage. Left over data from other roms do cause major problems! So if you want the best trouble-free experience with this rom, i highly recommend that you backup anything you need from you internal storage and wipe it in recovery. You should do this before placing this rom on your internal storage or else put the rom zip on your micro-sd card.
4. Backup anything you need to backup from your internal storage and copy it to your pc or sd-card (DO NOT RESTORE BACKED UP APPS! INSTALL THEM FRESH FOR THE BEST TROUBLE-FREE EXPERIENCE!)
5. Reboot to TWRP custom recovery. Press "Wipe". Do the "Factory Reset" several times then go into "Advanced Wipe" options and wipe Dalvic Cache, System, Data, and Cache several times.
6. Go to recovery home screen and select "Install" and select the rom that you have already copied to your phone in step 3 above.
7. Install the rom and the script will prompt you when it is finished flashing. WAIT!!! DO NOT REBOOT YOUR PHONE YET!!!
***THE NEXT STEP IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! It is done in order to clear the phone's current battery stats and prepare the phone for proper battery calibration***
***If you skip this step you will possibly have incorrect and misread battery capacity by your phone and will result in incorrect battery capacity problems*** Trust me. Do as I say and you will be perfectly fine.
8. While still in recovery go back to the recovery homescreen and select "Reboot" then "Power Off".
9. With your phone powered off remove your battery. With the battery removed press and hold the power button for AT LEAST 20 seconds then release it.
10. Replace the battery and power on your phone. If the phone reboots into recovery then simply press "Reboot" then press reboot "System".
11. The initial boot process will take around 10 minutes or so. Just be patient. It will boot.
12. Once the phone has booted and you see the setup wizard screen, select your language then press the botton to continue to the next step. STOP HERE!
***THE NEXT STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!***
13. Stop at the wifi setup screen!!! Turn wifi off or leave it on, it doesn't matter. But STAY ON THIS SCREEN until your Sprint data has fully connected or else you will
not be able to sign into your accounts and the setup wizard will not be happy.
14. Once you have a data connection continue through setup wizard as usual.
That's it! You're done!

My phone works data works and mms works but my phone won't activate either. I followed it to the letter, I'm not new to this. I wiped everything except my external and pulled the battery and waited for my lte signal. Everything works like a charm though. Can't update prl cause it goes to the hands free activation screen again and fails.

Okay so I re downloaded the COK1.tar and ROM just in case I had a bad download. I wiped EVERYTHING 6 times, rebooted into download mode, Odin'd COK1, let it activate, set it up as a new device and did no restores or back ups, took the PRL/Profile updates, flashed TWRP, followed instructions to the T. Everything is working smooth like before, i'll update on battery life in a couple hours.

I was able to successfully dual boot stock ROM and LOS. There is an app on github named DualBootPatcher which is compatible with our device and if anyone wants to use it just pm me. I won't discuss this here as we want to keep this thread clean.

Why did you make a new thread? Is it because this will become the thread for official lineage? And if so where will the other ROMs be posted? On the nexus7420 site? Sorry for the questions but hopefully the answers clear everything up.

For being official, we need a "clear" thread. That means that we need to have a thread only for LOS and separate ones for other ROMs.
Congrats on going official team :good:
Wouldn't it have been best to wait till you're given the greenlight or does a topic need to be made first (then turned official)?
Reboot

There is a very clear section in the OP on how to report bugs. Follow it if you wish to be addressed
Hi,
To be honest I don't get the situation with official /unofficial yet. Didn't you post yesterday, that you pushed/moved your sources to the lineageos github project itself? So then why is there a build server and your own github link here? Shouldn't that lead to official builds on the lineageos page?
My second question is: you ask for donations especially for a build server for you own nexusrom which seems to be a fork of lineageos. I'd really like to donate there to support your further work, but you don't describe how that works.
Finally : I'm currently on your april/23 build and with the audio patch you provided that is working great. The only problem open is, that VoLTE is not working for me. Do you have any plans for this? If you need someone to debug there let me know, though currently I'm not able to even activate it.
Finally : thank you very very much for your great work.

It clearly states in the title that these are UNOFFICIAL builds.
No word of donations is mentioned on the thread.
VoLTE will not work as this is not implemented by LineageOS.
Thank you guys for all your hard work. Im going to try this out on g925t with duelboot. Hope calling works now?
Setup wizard force closes on rr and lineage on mu g926t. I flashed them with duelboot and it happened so i tried a clean install and it still happened.

Please read again the title: only for G920F and G925F. No G926T...
Edit: Did you mean dualboot? If yes then you need to know that it may create instability in the multibooted ROMs. For me everything works
I got it working with duelboot. I just flashed the ROM without gapps, booted it and then went back and flashed gapps. Thanx again developers!
Great rom, i love it, except for the obvious bugs. Anyway, i can't turn on my bluetooth speaker remotely anymore. The manufacturer website says you need BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) for that, does anyone know if that's a LOS bug?

Calling still likely won't work. There's binary blobs missing and we need a different kernel.

Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.

We recommend MindTheGApps. OpenGApps should work, but please make sure you clearly mention the gapps you're using when reporting bugs.
Notice:
You must NOT use the SonyOpenDevices ODM image. If you come from a ROM that uses it, please flash the stock OEM image first.

Ah man good thing i asked before flashing any luck for 8142 dual sim
I flashed it for my dual, everything was smooth. only thing that didnt work was my camera. Wifi, LTE also worked
I had to change the wallpaper, it was hard to my icons
Maybe now you can get google camera to work now
Thank you for your Work, I have a chance to try it.
can we have bug list ? does fingerprint sensor work properly as well as 4K mode ? thank you in advance
also would be nice to see some screenshots
Did a factory reset in Twrp, flashed it with TWRP, but it`s stuck on the sony logo just after the unlocked device warning. Did factory reset again, this time wiped system too, but no luck.
G141 with drm fix by storm. FW was: 47.1.A.12.75
Is there anything i do wrong?
Edit: It works.
wow thats really good to see work on our device
THANK YOU VERY MUCH <3 much love
ill just wait to see if there are no bugs or if the rom is worth losing drm and if so ill flash
again thanks for all you devs out there <3
I am the dual sim card device user.
I tried to add and edit some text for build.prop from aosp_g8142.mk
Add:
persist.multisim.config=dsds
persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds
Edit:
ro.telephony.default_network=9,1
After doing that, sim dual setting is shown.
But opening radio is slow after booting.
(Same the AOSP)
And I can't test whether it works because I don't have the second sim card.
Does this rom have something like drmpatch?
I mean, does this rom has normal photo quality same as stock?

No. The Devicetrees are based on Sonys Open Development Project, therefore doesn't the stock camera drivers, at all.

great job dev
few questions since i dont want to lose my drm, i want to know if its worth it actually.
1) does is have screen options? [email protected] or 1080p/120hz?
2) does it have full support of google camera? (the one reason I dont want to unlock bootloader is because with drm i get great pics, and i want to know if on this build i at least get a camera that is just as good)
3) how is battery life?
again, love the work youve done <3

For better image quality, I strongly recommend you do not unlock the bootloader.
I was also one of XZP users who was eager to improve its camera by installing google camera so I unlocked mine and installed AOSP rom.
It's possible to activate google camera HDR+ with aosp roms, though image quality would get worse.
Yeah, Google camera does improve image quality, but due to disabled stock noise reduction(I guess this is related to ISP, which is over the control of android OS) the final outcome would get WAY WORSE than stock.
If someone make drmpatch compatible with AOSP roms, you may get superior image thanks to both stock noise reduction and google's HDR tech, but for now you shouldn't unlock your phone.
I regret I shouldn't have unlocked my phone, and now I should manually apply drmpatch everytime I update my phone.
Bugs and Functionality
@Myself5 Hi all.
The Rom work's pretty good (fast and mostly stable after some time)
Bugs are pretty much they same as on Sony's AOSP (not Stock Firmware) but it's totally recomendable for a daily driver.
-> 1. After a fresh install the System seems unstable but get's stable after 1-2 days, with one reboot included (when different App's force-close or stop giving Feedback, System crashed or behaves badly). (tempoary AOSP Bug)
Rom-specific permament Bugs are:
1. Notification-light pulse duration ON/OFF can be changed but the color remains the same even after numerous changes ( Battery light is fully changeable and works flawless)
2. Under Settings -> Fiber (Custom Settings) -> Buttons -> Advanced Option's (Hardware Buttons) is Empty or doesn't draw options.
3. Night-Light (Blue-Color) Filter doesn't work.
4. Black-Mode (Colors get change example white to black etc.) doesn't work.
@Myself5 Keep up the good work, you brought back hope for Custom-Rom's, I/we really appreciate it. :good:
Best Regard's

I've tried AOSP rom which is compiled with source codes provided by Sony Developers, and since this rom is also based on the same codes I guess it may be similar.
When I installed that rom 4k and 120hz options did exist in developer settings, but I heard it doesn't work actually.
I'm not sure if someone managed to get it work with updates but I suggest you be careful before unlocking bootloader, because there's no way back.

you can try turbo rom, it is based on stock but it is debloated and optimized, i know its not the same as aosp and it will never be, but its a good choice if you want a balance good camera and also good performance. if you really regret unlocking the bootloader i totally recommend it, it has awesome battery life, performance, its pretty debloated etc. It might worth trying tho.
Also i have a question what aosp rom did you installed im curious I might give it a try just to see how advanced they are.

This is the AOSP rom I installed.
It's a Rom made with Sony's source code but nothing, So you'd better go Sony Developer's website and there you can download latest source codes and compile it yourself.
Also, Turbo's rom is quite good but I want to go back to stock and get sony's stock updates withouy any worries.
For now I have to manually install that rom and install drmpatch, which requires some efforts and is pointless since all I did is to break my DRM only to use it like stock rom.

Hello my fellow SM-T560NU (gtelwifiue) owning friends, I thought I'd share with you my build of LineageOS 15.1.
This build contains the July 5 2019 security patch level. Please leave a thumbs up if this is useful to you.
If you need root, flash Magisk from recovery and install Magisk Manager.
I you wish to install the Google apps, flash opengapps from recovery after first boot (you need to get the ARM version for Android 8.1 nano package is recommended).

I have one of these tablets and would love to use it but the custom rom seems to slow it down. It's Android 7. I have TWRP in it but I cannot seem to find a lighter rom to help speed things up. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Anything older than Nougat will probably suffer from multiple security vulnerabilities. Lineage 15.1 is the only ROM I found that works bug free on my tablet (14.1 has camera issues and 16.0 doesn't wake up when pushing the home button).

Hi @tc3500. If you have a previous build of lineage os 15.1 installed you can just flash the new zip in twrp and then reboot. If your tablet is stock, then you need to first root it and then install twrp recovery for the gtelwifiue first. The procedure for doing this is explained in another post on the forum. Please ensure that your model is SM T560NU or else this ROM might not work.

From memory, I rooted my tablet by flashing CF-Auto-Root-gtelwifiue-gtelwifiue-smt560nu.zip using Odin (PDA button)on Windows. Can't remember if that gave me twrp or if I had to install it seperately. Hope this helps a bit.
Note: Enable Developer Options: go to Settings -> About device. Tap 7 times on Build number to enable Developer options. Enable OEM unlock and USB debugging options ( Settings -> Developer options )
Note: you will need to have the Samsung USB drivers installed, you can get those by installing the Samsung Kyes software.
Note: Make sure your device is in ODIN download mode (usually you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off)
Backup of my twrp recovery in case you need it.

I have all of the files downloaded to my laptop.
And that took some time. I got a Note 9 last year and I rarely even turn my PC on anymore. So there were many updates and and misc things to attend. Also it is frustratingly slow compared to my phone, haha.
I do need to get CF Root.
But my concern is that my Tab E is a Wifi model. And I am not sure how to verify if it will accept this modification.
It is definitely an SM-T560NU. Specifically an
SM-T560NUUEU1CQK2. I think it's an A3L, not a
gtlewifiue. So I am trying to figure that out. I backed up the device and don't mind trying to move forward if there is more of a chance that I can at least recover it to oem rather than brick it. Any advice on verification of model or recovery if install fails?
Only a guess or opinion, I know that there are no guarantees, lol. But it is very slow and I do need to make my best attempt to improve it.
Thanks.

From what I gather the letters and digits that follow SM-T560NU describe the carrier or the country of origin but I could be wrong.
I can't advise you to try or not to try flashing this ROM but there is near certainty that you can restore your original firmware from this site using the Odin method if anything goes wrong as I've mentioned in my previous post. If what you're after is speed you could even flash an older firmware (lollipop or marshmallow) and disable auto-update but you'd be left exposed to multiple android security vulnerabilities that aren't present in this updated ROM.

I keep the tablet pretty clean. It's an 'extra' device.
Don't really store anything on it. Use if for the web and take it on the boat or guests can use it. I will gl with 15.1 and see what happens. Thanks so much.
I did get the Firmware downloaded, that site is SLOW if you're cheap like me, haha. Hope your day is a good one.

When I did mine almost a year ago, I rooted first, then I flashed the TWRP img from an app such as rashr or flashify (might have to install the SuperSU app first to get the permission dialogs). Then rebooted into recovery and flashed lineage from there. But now I'm wondering if you might be able to flash TWRP directly from Odin without needing to root first. I wish someone with a fresh experience could chime in here.
Anyhow here's a video I came across that might be helpful to you:
Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 Root & Install TWRP Recovery 100% Working
And yes the SamMobile site is painfully slow but it is a lifesaver if you brick your device. Once you have obtained the firmware, it is really easy to recover your device with Odin.
