Hi slyzzz
you will need to revert your lu6200 back to gingerbread (stock firmware version 135), then follow the guide found on this forum to root and install cwm.
On stock 4.0.4 (i assume your are on software version of lu620161 (check your version under setting) you won't be able to root your phone depending on how you updated your phone.

I am now on 160. Could you give me the link to the thread? Cant actually find it.

Try this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1681886
You can flash the ICS engineer version in order to get root: http://115.com/file/e79w9lmj#LU620042-00.kdz
For flashing the KDZ file you better use this version of updater, i already integrated the windows enabler in it. So no need to install / activate the windows enabler: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0x75ol8y4uwz69r/KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.rar
Make sure you are in USB debugging mode, or better close your phone... hold Volume up and power button. This get you into download mode and now you can start the update tool for flashing the KDZ file.
After install finished you root your phone: https://www.box.com/s/891052e09272fb345bc8
If root process finished you can bring CWM onto you phone: http://115.com/file/c26taagr#RecoveryNEW.zip
If all that is done, you should be able to flash any ICS custom ROM available for the moment.
Good luck and if you have more questions, let it out.

Try using a different ROM. You will most likely have to find one with an older software version. Update to MM from there.

he said unknow model? if its the case .. dont stay in download mode and open your phone normaly and he will recognize your phone alone i had the same problem . even if you have a bootloop . do this you will see
I had a problem that no matter what ROM I installed my phones software always said I was on S3V3N's ROM. So LGUP could not see it......
Try this....... take the back off your mobile so you can get at the battery. Connect your mobile via USB. Start LGUP, if it does not see your phone DO NOT DISCONECT, DO NOT RESTART OR TURN OFF LGUP. Take out the battery and then put it back in.......let the phone restart on its own. LGUP should now see it.
Worked for me....
I currently have V20a-OPT2-HQ (Marshmallow 6.0) after reverting to stock ROM from this thread.
Is it really the latest version? I though I had V20f or something before. H815 Norwegian.
considering that thread is almost a year old its obvious that that kdz is not the latest anymore, I have V20G on my EUR device.

My phone says I have a new update which is the 742MB B140 update that has been out for a while now. But I can't install it for some reason. I tried flashing the three zip files via TWRP and then I tried it with the stock recovery extracted from the UPDATE.APP from the B140 firmware update. Everytime it fails and says "Failed to check update files". In TWRP it gives different reasons depending on the zip I flash first. Is this because I unlocked my bootloader? I am new to Huawei or Honor and things are a bit more complicated with this one than I'm used to.

If you want B130 I think it's better to contact honor, they may give you a direct link to it (just mention you want FULL-OTA)
Yes better to contact them , they wont give you link but they will ask your imei and they push your update.
