Miui 7 Request Thread

Him been using Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, and Note 3 now, but my main is LG G4, wanted to ask if someone could (with incentives of course) port MIUI to LG G4, i just love that ROM, clean, fast and really beautiful. I would appreciate all the efforts if anyone could try please.
If someone would like to jump in the boat too i would be glad.
I would donate (for starters) 50€

This could be done using patchrom project and u could get a LG base rom. but i think your best chance is to ask on another forum i wont mention here.

Also, i see there is a port for LG G3 and LG G2, so i guess it would be possible for LG G4, thing is i have no idea how to do this.
New versions of MIUI already use marshmallow, so if some1 was willing to try maybe could try already using android 6.01

If there is some1 with the minimum interest i would appreciate any kind of effort.

I tried port MIUI based on LG Lollipop few months back, but can't get it to boot, now I don't have much time, and... I'm just too lazy ? Gonna try again, maybe on weekend, when I'll have time, and post results, but don't promise. I liked miui v4 and v5 the most, miui v6 is too closed for me, they even cut xposed with newest versions ?

yes i understand, if could give it a go i would appreciate mate.
I like CM for every phone i ever used, but i gotta be honest after i tested MIUI it looked like pretty cool and sexy.
Also MIUI apps like cloud,find me, the all backup system and restore were great. Every time i tested a new ROM and went back to MIUI i just had to login with my credentials and all my data and settings/apps/pictures/shortcuts preferences, etc etc were restored, with just a touch. I found that incredible user friendly.
Also the PRO skins/themes are the best.
I was asking MIUI in marshmallow because i wanted to use @codeworks snap app
to everyone that wants to take a peek on MIUI 7 ROM check how great it is:

I'm gonna try my best for You. I'm not a developer, I ported and compiled few roms before for personal use only, but can't promise if it's gonna work, or if it's even possible to port it on Marshmallow base.

Hello,
This is my first time uploading a ROM to xda so there may be some issues.
As the official crDroid thread hasn't been updated in a couple months, I've decided to post my build so that others may have an updated ROM. That being said, I plan to update this thread every week or two. As things break and I'm not very knowledgeable at fixing them, I can't commit to regular updates.
I'd like to thank firebird11 for helping me getting the thing to compile and the entire crDroid team for keeping their ROM up-to-date.

crDroid is based off of Cyanogenmod.
It's stable for me although I can't say for others.

Someone please suggest if this is how storage is supposed to look like, wasn't same in official crdroid, maybe i am doing something wrong

Mine looks like this
If you go to the terminal and run "df" do you see your lvpool?
I dirty flashed this rom over the official crdroid and have no issues.

I did fresh install. There were some issues i think i removed lvm. Will redo whole process.

Just finished install CRdroid Rom.. Everything is ok.. Good job dev!

Smooth rom! And currently using the new Nexus Launcher.

I got the link and check out that forum too but i cannot find the 11.2 link there... in the test build segment there is only 11.1 last build available.

I can't comment yet as I've been using it for only few days. Although, I've less than 1% idle drain (wifi on).

You rlly have to try them, but as this doesnt rlly helps here some thoughts: you might want to test a CM / now Linage based rom (like RR) and compare it with a stockbased rom like FreedomOS (using myself) latter tends to be a bit more stable and camera is still better i think (i believe the OOS port has still some minor issues) - overall you cant do wrong with the most popular roms imho, they are great!
edit: as i use the official xda app i just noticed its somehow hard to find the ROMs using pc/laptop. Therefor: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development?daysprune=-1&order=desc&sort=views#romList <= as said with FreedomOS (CE) and RR you wont do anything wrong. RR will force you into flashing regularly (if you re an flashaholic)…FOS leaves you with stable builds for some weeks, so its a bit less stress.

I don't have the phone yet it's on its way but I'm sure putting the rom through a kitchen on a PC you could deodex it and go gapps-less.
I'll do a bit of experimenting when I have it in a couple weeks and maybe by then microg will have an update to support q

Why would anyone not build custom roms for this fantastic portable device? It's a no. 1 bestseller in amazon.in currently. Just needs to be patient for now.

For that reason exactly. You expect someone to build but remember that devs don't get paid to do this it's just a hobby so don't expect anything.
Any piece of free firmware you get is just a nice bonus.
People have this sense of entitlement here and expect everything to be done for them.
I myself have thought about building something for this device but might just make personal builds

You are right. People do not realise how hard devs have to work to mod and test firmwares. People just demand. I am gonna be patient and wait, hoping if some hobbyist devs who have a lot of time to play with their Mi A3s finally brings out something good for free. You also already have Android One out of the box so why worry? There is already a functioning TWRP and root. All is good already. But hey, please share your personal build with us if you are thinking to start modding for this device, by the way.

is there an official thread on other forums (or even here) for the beastrom 2.0 (android 10 based)... would like to see the development.

Flash Fastboot official rom to go in factory rom and try again to flash custom roms
