Sorry, just saw it now. I try reflashing stock and rooting again. I know it sounds weird, but these phones sometimes need reflashing stock to "calibrate" it.

[Q] Real Hardware Problem or Kernel Issue?..

Hi!
I've flashed a cooked rom on my htc desire hd and got in a strange issue. Now I would like to understand if it could be a hardware problem or a kernel problem in the rom itself. With another Rom this issue disappears, i'd like to know also if somebody heard something similar.
So, after flashing the rom and the batt % (so modyfing the framework), the backlight started to flicker when i was connected in wifi and downloading something.
I've setted the screen to don't have the automatic backlight, and literally when i was connected the backlight was dancing, like if the file download was interfering on something.
Now the doubt i have is if the wifi really can do this, or if it's just a bad kernel or someother problem on the rom itself. With another one, i repeat, i do not see this bug.
Thankyou all!

Hi! and thank to everybody for answering.
The rom i was speaking about is [ROM] LeeDrOiD HD v2.2.3 [Kernel] LeeDrOiD v2.2.9 | 7th April | >>> EPIC <<< . What i wrote in the last post is this but no user answered:
"OOOOk i can confirm the bug on this rom. I'll tell you the procedure i did and if somebody wants to try it we can compare if it's a real bug.
I flashed the Rom with clkwork 3.0.2.8 and straight on top of it the i/o patch.
I've rebooted. Went back to clkwork and flashed Batt % stock 1.84 (this one: http://tinyurl.com/65udqes )
I've rebooted. After i went in settings and setted the screen (i've set off the auto backlight). Changed the wallpaper to a coloured one and switched on the wifi.
If you go on the market , like i did, and you start downloading stuff if you go on the main screen while downloading you'll notice that the backlight flickers."
I was really in a bad mood if i had to think it was a hardware issue. Really wifi shouldn't affect the screen brightness correct?
Thankyou all!

Hi! i always make a full wipe before flashing and really the process went ok. I didn't try another kernel because it has the owner's kernel included. I've answered one post above y saludos desde Tenerife! ;D

any procedure to save /boot before flashing a new kernel ?
Hi,
Thanx for the good work, I love your rom.
I understood that since 04/04 the kernel used is a unstable one.
I tried to install the build from 04/04, 05/04 and 07/04 with each time the same result : kernel freeze with color noise screen, not even kernel logo.
So, I revert to 30/03 build and it's ok.
I understand that I could help by flashing the unstable kernel and sending you the dmesg output.
But I'm afraid loosing all (bricked phone or I do'nt know what)...
Is there any procedure to easily "save" my current /boot to resotre it after the test ?

This is good (30/03 build )
I have a problem port SystemUl especially the battery icon with the Xperia Z2. I changed a few things in SystemUl.apk but nothing works.
Maybe another application is responsible for the battery icon
Any ideas
I use build 01.04 for Arc / S

Official Cyanogenmod 12 Lollipop

Guys for those of you who don't know, Official CM12 for our device (E975) has just been rolled out today. Here's the link to the download page: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=e975
Standard rom flashing procedures apply.
Note: I did not work on cyanogenmod builds at all just thought I'd share the news so don't blame me if your device goes bonkers from flashing.
EDIT: Also note that it's a nightly build
has anyone tried it? please post some screenies

Flahsed, everything working. Screenshots here.
Bugs i ve noticed:
-Sometimes data needs some time to work
-wrong ratio on video recording preview
-Camera is a little dark
-headphone works but no icon on status bar
Sent from my LG-E975 using XDA Free mobile app
Q: Does it auto update if there is a new nightly available(OTA update) , or do i have to install it manual?
Thanks

Thanks man i also successfully flashed it.
But: My WIFI seems a little choppy, it sometimes disconnects while downloading an app from play store.
Camera is so dim on low light compared to the stock LG camera.
Hello, i just Flashed the new CM12 Build, but when i checked cyanogenmod website again there is a another update, and my OTA doesn't see any updates, do i have to flash it using the custom recovery? and do i need to wipe something before updating?
Some please check whether Video calls are working in Skype, Viber, Line etc.

Yeah I think OTA updates has some problems at the moment. For now, just download the zip file from cyanogenmod's website and flash it in recovery. No need to wipe anything, just remember to flash gapps and supersu (if you use it) again after flashing update.

For the wrong ratio in video problem, were you using Google Camera or Cyanogenmod Camera because in CM camera it's fine but Google Camera there's the black bar.

Thanks man, i thought it's only me. About the Gapps i thought i dont have to flash them anymore, what will happen if i forget to flash them? will it cause a bootloop or they will simply not show up when the rom boots up? sorry noob here XD::highfive:

If the rom deletes GApps, they just won't show up. I have noticed they were only gone on a few different Lollipop updates. But there should be no bootloop if you don't flash. They just won't show up. You can always go back to recovery and flash them after the fact.

Hi,
OK, just saw this nice bootanimation and tried to put it on my XT1039.
BlissPop 4.0.3 (17/10/2015),Optimus Prime kernel.
Tried to flash : failed
Extracted and copied to system/media : works like a charm.
Tried to make sound working : failed (at the moment)
Seems it's missing something in kernel to activate function.
Seems also that CM guys aren't great fans of bootsound function and not activate it in their kernel...
An idea to do it?
Its a kernel function so unless someone can edite the kernel for boot sound functionality its not possible
