Hi all,
Simple question. I am playing music on google play music app, and my phone is locked in my pocket. I suddenly want to lower the volume, but the down volume key is mapped to camera.. Fine, I disable this in the camera app, but I still cannot lower my music when on lock screen. I can use the volume up key though haha (such a horrible design huawei). Has anyone been able to re enable volume down on lockscreen?? Without third party apps pleeease.
Joao
Me too!
I don't have that Problem.
I listen to music via bluetooth and i can lower and rise the volume with the phones volume buttons.
Doesn't matter if screen is off, on or locked.

I keep changing the volume of the device just by holding it.
My fingers seems to rest on the volume button(s). Both when I hold the Desire HD
In portrait and landscape mood.
Really annoying
Is there a way to disable the physical volume button and use a software dito.
For all sound except during calls, then those physical buttons might come handy.
I have managed to turn of the Mic on a X10 Mini, but didn't believe I would have problems with a full size mobile...
Sent from the problem child "the Desire HD"
I'm also interested in this. Google shows it's been done on other devices so it should be possible. Unfortunately I'm not clever enough to do it but someone out there must be.
Heck I'd even live with it being disabled during calls assuming I'd pre set it at an adequate level.
I had the same issue!
Check out Volume Control+ on the Android Marketplace. You can set the volumes for each program individually and lock the volume rocker outside of calls or videos; whatever you like.
It's not perfect; the rocker will still vibrate when you press it if it's locked. The volume won't change though. It's definitely good enough!
android is great. it really is , its the best thing to ever hit cell phones. however theres one feature i miss that i havent been able to find. im sure you all remember the old school flip phones and what not. the volume buttons on the side controlled all the volume at once. you turned it up and ALL of your phone volume was up, you turned it down and likewise. now with android you have , call volume , ringer volume, system volume, media volume etc. i hate having to go into my options and turn 5 or 6 different bars of volume control up and down. so my question is , is there an app or a mod (without rooting) that i could get that would make the volume buttons control all the volume at once like the old school phones? i could also live with a widget that would do this as well i suppose.
Audiomanager.
So, I used wotanserver to flash r800a to my xperia play r800at, and for some reason my phone does the single vibrate, freeeeeeeeeeeze, then triple vibrate thing when I'm playing music. Here's how I replicated the situation
1) open stock music player from widget.
2) start playing song with earbuds in.
3) push power button to lock screen
4) push volume up to turn up volume, and there is a very quick vibration
5) music stutters, lags, sometimes completely freezes until the 3 vibrations which signify that something was force closed.
6) depression that my phone doesn't like having its volume changed.
Has anybody else experienced this? Any advice? I also use poweramp, but I haven't tried it on this phone because I really like the stock SE music player app.
Any help will be appreciated!
---EDIT---
The music continues to play after this sequence of events, so it's not a MAJOR issue, but it's still pretty frustrating.
I thought I saw an app somewhere that would let you change the behaviour of the Volume Buttons so that pressing volume down would lower ALL volume types (and not exclude alarms/music).
I don't want an app with an onscreen widget or anything as I like to adjust volumes without unlocking the phone, or even looking at it (easy to adjust volume while in pocket etc..)
The default behaviour of the Samsung S3 is that it reduces/raises all volumes EXCEPT alarms and music, which I can understand for some people, but if I put my phone in vibrate via volume... i do NOT expect to hear a peep from it.
Anyone seen a hack or an app that will do this?
Hi Guys,
I have a bit of a weird issue. When I'm playing music with the stock "Play Music" app via Bluetooth, the volume decreases a couple notches when I hit the power button to wake up the screen. It's similar to when a text comes in and the volume of the music dips a bit for the text notification to play. The difference is that the volume doesn't come back up afterwards. Any thoughts? Is this a known issue?
